Nancy!! You're freaking awesome!! I have only had one person cut my hair since I was a kid and Nancy made me feel at ease with her style/cutting ideas. The shampoo was a pleasant surprise and relaxing to boot! I'm from Seattle, but if you want to try a new place and have a good time, I recommend this place. The only negative for me as a consumer would be on the company's head office. The credit card company they choose to use does not allow for entering tips. first off this place needs some serious customer service improvement. the whole staff is too busy chit chatting with each other than paying attention to the clients. Obviously too involved with their own gossip to listen to what I had requested, and got the 2nd worst haircut Ive ever had. When I got home I realized how uneven it is, horrible horrible job I could of cut it better myself. the whole experience felt rushed, hurry to get you shampooed, even though the stylist still had a client, then when you get to the stylist its hurry up because they have another cash cow waiting. A cut/dye/style here is expensive by my standards---but you get what you pay for. Just this week, I decided to cut off my very, very long hair after twenty years and try a fun VERY short pixie cut. I wouldn't trust anyone but Teresa at Team Cutters to make this momentous change for me. She listened carefully to my concerns (because really, after 20 years of long hair, it was a really big decision) and gave me wonderful advice---urging me to let go of the past and embrace change. It was great! Two other stylists chatted with me about my new short hair and I really appreciated the welcoming camaraderie. Cut my hair exactly like I wanted, it looks adorable. I've had my hair cut by lots of top notch stylists in New York and Seattle as well as Anchorage and Emma was one of the best as far as listening to what I wanted and carrying it out beautifully. I was very pleasantly surprised! Everyone else at the salon was friendly and professional, it was clean and had a great salon atmosphere. I was hesitant to have my hair colored at a new place, but now that I know they use Goldwell and have seen the quality of the work I might change my mind. Looking at the prices before I called to make an appointment, it was a bit expensive by my standards, but since I was cutting my hair super short for the first time I decided it was worth paying extra to have it done well. The lady I made an appointment with and who greeted people at the desk was extremely helpful and friendly. My stylist, Rachel, was absolutely great. She talked to me about exactly what I wanted, made sure I was ready for the change, and talked about how to style it, etc. My hair turned out great and everyone in the salon was so friendly and welcoming. It was a very enjoyable experience, though as a broke college student I may opt to get simple trims elsewhere. I highly recommend this place based off of my own experience. read more
