If you want horrible service then Elegant nails is the place to visit. The head lady was rude and I felt like she was being a bit racist. I was asked what service I wanted and when I told her a "pedicure" she told me to go wash my hands. For a pedicure, I've never heard of such so I asked "why". She said because of Covid-19. I asked if she wanted me to wear a mask since it passes through the air, she rolled her eyes at me. Now I'm intrigued and want to see where else this leads. The lady who got my water ready barely made it lukewarm and never turned on the jets because she had food that she needed to get back too. The man came over and started working on my feet and I thought he was decent until he stole an additional tip from me. The other lady finally finished her food and came to take over the painting of my toenails. She must not have used the best drying agent in the polish because my toes looked horrible within 2 days. They also had the audacity to charge a $1.50 convenience fee on top of the false amount that they charge. I never seen any of the other patrons who came in for manicures be directed to go wash their hands nor were they treated as if they were contagious. None of then had any melanin in their complexion either. I definitely won't be returning. My advice is this...enter at your own risk! I will not give them anymore of my precious time or hard earned money for such rudeness, prejudice and lack of quality. There is nothing ELEGANT about this salon at all. This place is trash, my nails are a mess! They cut my skin & left nail polish on my nail bed from my last set. Asked for them to be fixed and was treated like they were done fine! Just look at this S***! They will be fixing these and I will never return! read more

Rude. Just plain rude. I've come here for years for pedicures because it's convenient and inexpensive. The last two times I've come, I've had horrible service. The tech that was working on me was more focused on filling the tubs of people who came in after me, therefore not focusing on my experience at all. A pedicure is supposed to come with a leg and foot rub, both of which I didn't get. I asked for a design, and the hideous "art" he put on my toes-BOTH visits- I had to ask him to redo. He sits then and mumbles under his breath, in another language, he is clearly pissed I even asked. Probably will be finding another store for my pedicures from now on. read more

At three stars, this places gives you just that. Service was so-so they were not busy the day me and my granny went in but they rushed through the pedis. The spa chairs are definitely older,and pretty much fit the overall feel of the place. The employees were nice enough but just gave a rushed feeling overall. I don't live in Topeka, but if I did I would find a different place to go to get my pedis. read more

The nail techs don't care...They were so rude and treated me and my time poorly; if you want something other than shellac with your pedicure goodluck they heavily press you and get annoyed when you do not choose the higher priced options. I was rushed out of the pedicure chair and messed up my regular polish pedicure which she refused to correct in the salon because she told me regular polish had a greater chance to mess up and it's not her fault she warned me "shellac wouldn't do that". Also the massages and care put into you're relaxation doesn't exist.... don't waste you're time. They take your money and leave you with no enjoyable experience. I've lived in Topeka my whole life. I have been to multiple nail locations throughout Topeka and Lawrence. Don't waste you're time and money on this experience or level of work. My nail tech said she could not do the asked design on my finger nails even though it was very simple and was executed by a nail salon 5 mins away from this location. read more

They act offended when you don't want to pay extra for a shellac, or nail design....I'm sorry, but that is my money, and I will decide whether or not I want the "extras" that they try to push on you. Messed up my nails all uneven, left us with bruises, and cuts. The employees were rude, rough, and don't know how to do nails.

I'm really shocked that this nail salon is rated as high as it is, and that's at two stars. I walked-in at 2:45pm on a Friday. I realize that is a peak time, so I asked how long the wait would be for a pedicure. "Oh, 30 minute. Pick color. Pick color." Ok, cool. It has now been WELL OVER AN HOUR. They turned the damn water on 5 minutes ago, effectively trapping me. They also are providing services willynilly, not at all in accordance with the time of arrival. Salon is pretty worn, which normally wouldn't bother me, but as this has been my habitat for the last hour and a half, it's working my nerves. Also, the reports of roughness by the manicurists are NOT EXAGGERATED. OUCH. I will not only not be returning but will be warning people away from this place! read more
