Great experience at Element. When it says online that it is close to Target Field....ummm....understatement. It is literally next door AND next to public transit. There is a convenience store across the street and bars and coffee shops easily walkable as well. The desk staff was awesome and accommodating and the lobby lounge areas really comfy. Our room was clean and well-appointed. We had a suite with a kitchen, separate living space and bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and I loved that we could connect our phone music to the TV sound system via Bluetooth. The only strange thing was our room windows were directly next to the outdoor walkway to the rooftop lounge, so there were frequently people walking by and looking into our room. There were blinds but we would have preferred to enjoy the skyline view. Overall, great stay! read more

What a great experience we had at the Element! We had a team meeting at the hotel and were also able to work in a Twins game. The hotel is spotless and the meeting room was perfect for our group. They have great onsite parking and so many walkable options from the hotel to include breweries, great restaurants, and Target Field for Twins games. Even though we didn't get our usual great room, our stay at the Element during our move to Minneapolis was fantastic thanks to the hospitality of Greg and Michael. Michael is a scholar learning the hotel business. His kindness and empathy are part of every trip to the Element. Greg is warm, with a personality that lights up a room. He should have his own talk show. It would have the highest ratings on TV! The Element has become our home away from home, and some of the people working there have become family. We will visit to say hello, even though we are now neighbors and not visitors. You will feel the same at the Element. read more

Wow! This is the best hidden secret in Minneapolis! Love the location as it is so close to cool venues like the twins stadium and delicious restaurants. However, the hotel amenities are awesome! We had a last minute team meeting and Sarah (director of sales) was absolutely amazing! She helped us from start to finish! She went out of her way to make sure everyone and every detail was taken care of! I cannot thank her enough for her professionalism and commitment to making our team meeting perfect! The last morning the coffee machine was down and she stopped off site to make sure our team had coffee! Honestly, this kind of customer service is a rarity! The element is now our go to for meetings! I stay in hotels approximately 100 nights a year and the Element is one of the more memorable stays. Its perfectly located to downtown Minneapolis with many hot spots within walking distance. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Parking was a non issue however, it was pricey ($20-25 per night). There were about six or seven parking spots available in the heated underground garage on a first come first serve basis. The rooms are nicely equipped with a small kitchenette and plenty of space. I stayed for two nights and it was perfect for that. If I were traveling with my family I would have wanted more space for sure (king size bed room). There was a small refrigerator, microwave and sink which all made for perfect to save and reheat my leftovers from business meals. Another part of the Element that appealed to me was their attention to environmentalism. They post their efforts towards sustainability in alot of places through the hotel and in the rooms. They also serve hot teas in the lobby every evening which follows a small cheese tray and mini hot chocolate bar. A definite "will stay here again". read more

My office is right across the way from the hotel so this is the hotel that I usually stay at as do my colleagues. The hotel is nice and contemporary which is what I usually expect from a Marriott element property. Because we have been here a lot, the team has come to recognize us but even if this were our first time, they would be just as welcoming. The service team is wonderful. The ambiance of the place is nice, clean and contemporary. Each room has a full kitchen, working desks, couches and the bedroom varies from a studio to a one bedroom. The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are nice and big and you get a sense of being at a home away from home. In the mornings, they provide a continental breakfast of hot cereal, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, and assorted bagels, muffins and toast. But the kicker is, they also have someone who makes these amazing egg corn and vegetable fritters served with little cholula packets. Those are amazing! And they also do fresh served egg white and avocado tacos which are also amazing! The location is right around the North Loop, super close to Target Field and other cool bars and restaurants. I will say that across the way is a gas station with mini mart, i would steer clear of that area as a lot of riff raff tend to hang out there. read more

Bait-and-Switch Suite & Zero Accountability - Do Better, Element Minneapolis I'm a Marriott Elite member and frequent traveler, but my experience at Element Minneapolis was completely unacceptable. I booked one of the top-tier one-bedroom king suites for three nights and even called ahead to confirm it would be ready after my late flight. I was assured everything was in order. When I arrived, I was told the suite I reserved had been given away. Instead, I was placed in an accessible room that was not remotely comparable -- a much smaller shower, less space, and nowhere near what I paid for or needed. This wasn't a minor downgrade -- it was a bait-and-switch. They offered 20,000 Bonvoy points as compensation -- which doesn't even cover one night in a basic room at this property, let alone a premium suite for three nights. I explained this and declined the offer, expecting a reasonable follow-up. What's most disappointing is not just the room mix-up -- it's the complete lack of effort to make it right. As a loyal Bonvoy Elite member, I expected more. I escalated the issue, followed up again, and was completely ignored. No apology, no alternative solution, just silence. This shows me that loyalty doesn't matter here. If you're considering booking a suite at Element Minneapolis, don't count on actually getting it, and definitely don't count on them doing the right thing if things go wrong. I've filed a formal complaint with Marriott Bonvoy and will continue sharing my experience to warn other travelers. Marriott, this is not how you treat your loyal members. read more

Element was a great place for us to stay while in town for a concert. The hotel has a modern look. Our room with a king bed was an ample size and the bed was comfortable, but some of the pillows were a little flat. They do offer a nice selection of simple breakfast options so that you can don't leave on an empty stomach before you head out for the day. read more

This is a newer hotel right by the Twins stadium and the LRT line. We were there for a family wedding. This hotel was thoughtfully created. Fridge, microwave, some dishes and filtered water in room. Breakfast shines---this has food I eat at home not just that carb loaded stuff. My fav was whole milk plain yogurt. Free bikes. Parking attached for 25/nite. Our out-of-town guests took LRT to the airport. This is in a great walkable neighborhood by many great food options. read more

We stayed here for about 2 weeks recently. The hotel is brand new and modern, something you rarely get in a budget-conscious hotel. They have a great lobby area with plenty of seating that gets tons of sunlight. There is a parking garage under and behind the hotel so you can park and then walk 50 feet to the lobby. The rooms are very sleek and modern, sort of a Scandinavian vibe going on. And soundproofed to the outside as the Filmore Theater is attached to the hotel, Target Field is next door and the light rail runs directly behind the building. I really heard nothing from the outside. The hotel is located on the edge of the North Loop, so its close restaurants and shopping. However, there is a sketchy gas station across the street and we often saw people late at night wandering aimlessly in the street or sleeping on the sidewalk, etc. But I never had any problems when walking my dog late at night. Also, the staff here are absolutely fantastic. read more

Since the minute we arrived to the cities we had the most welcoming front desk members. We had our two service dogs with us and offered the pups treats every time we would come through the lobby. Check out is at 11am and our flight kept getting delayed and Alex went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and let us have late check out. Excellent. I visited Minneapolis to DJ an event at the Fillmore (right next door) and the Element Hotel was absolutely perfect. The customer service was phenomenal; they brought me a cart to help transport all my DJ equipment and they showed me where the hallways connect directly to the Fillmore. It was so cool, it was like walking through a secret tunnel! Super convenient, I didn't even have to go outside in the -4*F weather! The room I booked was really cute and comfortable; it had a mini fridge and a microwave, which is perfect for me and my midnight snacks. Additionally, there was a hot chocolate bar in the lobby with mini marshmallows -- AMAZING!! Definitely a highlight of my stay :) Upon checking out, I went over to the parking garage (also very convenient and easy to access) and found a flat tire on my rental car. Totally flat like a pancake! The staff was so kind and helped me put air in the tire so that I could make it to the airport in time. Big shout-out to Noah, thank you so much!! Made a reservation and was not made aware that my prepayment did not go through, even though I had spoken to a male staff member on the phone ahead of time making arrangements and none of that was brought to my attention. No emails or anything until I showed up to check in and was asked to pay there on the spot. I asked the woman at the desk if they normally send an email or something and she said yes but that it looked like one was not sent to me. Very displeased. I was definitely blind sided by that. Wow! What an excellent hotel experience!! The rooms are spacious - large bathrooms with incredible lighting, huge windows that let in natural light (without the noise) plus an awesome kitchen. I loved staying in the North Loop - a quick 10min walk to the best restaurants and shopping in Minneapolis. Parking was really convenient with plentiful, adjacent spots in attached garage (which is particularly wonderful during a MN Winter). And the staff/service was exceptional!! read more

Officially my Minneapolis go-to stay. The Element hotel Minneapolis--while not the cheapest option-- is fairly priced and provides far and away the best value compared to other Minneapolis hotels I've booked with. The rooms: The rooms (aside from the standard king option, which I have stayed in before and is still a good option) are all equipped with a kitchenette that beats out most kitchens you would find in an Airbnb apartment. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with the guest in mind. The views are great, the functional kitchens include a built-in stovetop, sink, sizable refrigerator, pots, pans, quality knives, silverware, plates, bowls, glass tupperware... The list goes on - everything you'll need to get some groceries and live like you're in a private apartment. Most importantly, the cleanliness standard is at a 10/10. The staff: The staff at this location are all friendly and accomodating. Michelle in particular is a gem that Element/Marriott is lucky to have. Every time I have stayed at this location, Michelle has made the experience feel like a home away from home, and her hospitable nature alone is what brings me back to Element Minneapolis. Throughout the years I spent in the hospitality/service industry, I learned that there are a very select few who are truly indisposable resources to an organization. Michelle genuinely cares about providing the best guest experience possible. Thanks, Michelle. Location/nearby amenities: The location of this spot could not be any better for someone like me. I mainly come here to work by day and visit with friends in the city by night. Walking distance to a plethora of hip coffee shops, lunch spots, and dinner options ranging from fast-casual to high-end. It's just on the edge of downtown. You're essentially in downtown without having to deal with the horrible traffic/parking situation you'll be stuck with at nearby hotels. Constructive feedback: Breakfast: Underwhelming and generally limited, though I'm sure Covid played a role in this. Gym: Not bad. Lose one of 3 treadmills, add an upright cycling machine rather than a recumbent, add a pull-up bar/dip machine. With those changes, it would be perfect. Looking forward to staying here again. Hands down one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had and it is largely due to the incredible staff. My husband and I stayed here for a week along with our baby boy and our dog. Michael, Patricia, Alex, Griffin, Lovell, Jacoby and all of the staff we came into contact with (I know I'm forgetting a couple!) were all so incredibly kind, generous, and hospitable. The cleaning staff was also top notch. The accommodations were beautiful and we really enjoyed staying in this fun neighborhood.
