This was a great nights stay! We were up on the 16th floor with only one above us. I have no idea if someone was above us this night, but it was very very quiet in the hall and above and below us. We could hear the tram as it came through but either it stops running or the bed was better than I thought because I did not hear anything or have anything wake me up until the morning. There are double shades on the blinds. Blackout for sleeping and then privacy ones so no one can see in but you can still have sunlight in during the day. One of my favorite things about IHG hotels are the soft, warm robes that are in the rooms and this stay did not disappoint. The bed was huge and very well made. I appreciated that there were two different types of pillows (soft and firm) for us to use as well. The bed was super comfortable as well. If we needed anything, we were able to just text the front desk if we needed anything. If it was an "emergency" we also had the option to call if needed. The staff were all very friendly and quick to make our stay as great as they could. Next time we're in town we already plan on staying here again.

We had an incredible experience at Hotel Indigo. Please stay here when you come to Minneapolis! From reserving the room to check out, everything was seamless. There's a parking garage attached to the hotel which made for easy parking (LAZ Northstar Ramp), an elevator led us right to the lobby. There were infused water and mocktails by the front desk, and coffee and tea set up in another hallway. We were given a complimentary bottle of Fiji water when we checked in, a posh touch! When we got to our room, I got a text to my phone from the front desk with a welcome message and to let them know if we needed anything. I just quickly sent a text off with anything we needed and we got it! I asked for Nespresso pods, since we only had one caffeinated and one decaf in the room with us. We had them up to us in 10 minutes! The robes were plush and comfy, and available for purchase in the hotel lobby shop. I loved the hygiene products they use, they were crisp and fresh scents. The hotel was beautiful, and there's a bar and restaurant in the lobby. I wish we would've had a chance to try it out , but there were so many places we wanted to try and we were only there one night. We already decided we're staying here again in the future, so we'll have a chance to check it out next time! We were also treated well being IHG rewards members, we got a lovely room on the 16th of 17 floors with a decent view. Next time, we're opting for the city view for an even better view!

Wow. So impressive. The staff is absolutely lovely and the hotel is beautiful. I believe the person at the front desk name was Eli. Absolutely amazing. Informative, welcoming, and very helpful. I also went for a bite and sat at the bar. Had the privilege of being served by Kyle. What an amazing guy. Such elegant and high-end and top-shelf knowledge of all the food, drinks, AND downtown. His suggestions were on point. He knows how to upsell and has great taste. He is a gem. Rooms were lovely. Robes warm. The only thing for me personally that I would improve are pillows. I love big, even huge pillows, but if they are down pillows. These were big, but rock hard. Otherwise everything was amazing at this hotel. They even kept my ice packs in a freezer and also mailed a letter for me. Thank you all.

This hotel is located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. The rooms are very modern and clean. The highlight of the room is the nice Nespresso coffee machine, so if you're a coffee drinker you will definitely appreciate the presence of this machine with 6 different capsules the only down side is the absence of a desk in the room, so if you're planning to work from your room, you will have to make other plans. . I will definitely stay here again.

Madison the front desk representative was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable and personable. She made the stay worth it for sure. Thanks for suggesting the upgraded corner room. The room was absolutely gorgeous. The mix between vintage and modern really spoke to me. The natural light was a plus being that I like to woke with the sun. And it brightened the room in a way in which artificial lights could not. The room was spacious I have zero complaints. The bed and couch was super comfy. I love the teal blue phone in the room. Also like give a round of applause for the daily turn down service. Ughhh! Nothing like resting in a nicely made bed after a long day. The bathroom was so cute look like it's ripped right out of a magazine or a Pinterest post. I also like that the room offered a vanity. The hotel does offer breakfast and is convenient located to a number of restaurants and bars. For this hotel to be located in the heart of downtown is very quiet. No unruly guests. A pleasant stay! Parking is in the garage off of 7th. It's attached to the hotel so it will for sure guide on where to go.

Omg this hotel is absolutely the cutest! The rooms are so nice, clean and cozy! I love the decor and all the neat little features! From the comfy robes to the Nespresso in the morning it was a delight! 10/10

Great location downtown and walkable to restrooms and there is a running bike path down by the river. Beds are comfortable. Love the nespresso machine in the room. Mini fridge is also in the room.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. On one note, the rooms are very nice and modern. I love the nod to the building's history with the telephone they use in each room. They are designed to operate like old phones used 30 or so years ago. Isn't that cool? The staff at this hotel are also very friendly and will go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay here. The attached restaurant is also surprisingly good even if it's a bit pricy. On another note, I definitely had some problems while staying here. My first critique is that the rooms are quite small compared to other hotels in the Twin Cities I have stayed in. I get it, it's Downtown, but I've stayed in other downtown hotels in other cities with more spacious rooms. Think the Kimpton St. George Hotel in Toronto, Canada as an example, or the InterContinental Toronto Centre. My room was also quite smelly. I don't know what the smell was (it wasn't because of someone smoking), but I had to call for a housekeeper to spray some sort of perfume to block out the smell close to midnight. It worked to be a temporary solution because for whatever reason, the smell came back. Not cool for a luxurious hotel like this one! Also not cool was the fact that water was shut off to the entire property for nearly two hours without my knowledge. Luckily, I had already taken my shower and freshened up, but I feel for those who needed to use the washroom or shower for any purpose. Even a simple piece of paper slipped underneath my door would have made a big difference! I did receive bonus points for the inconvenience upon complaining to the front desk about this, so I do appreciate the effort made to make things right. I probably won't stay here again because I often stay in other hotels when in the Twin Cities. If anything, I would rather stay at the InterContinental MSP Airport over here, where the rooms are much more spacious, modern, and cleaner with better service.

Excellent location, friendly staff, about 30 minutes after I checked it they reached out via text to make sure I didn't have any questions about which was great! The room was the perfect size, very clean, and very comfortable. The bed was amazing! I actually checked the mattress tag to see if it was one I could purchase. lol. I highly recommend a stay here.

    Manager's passive aggressive response

Do not stay here! Locks are aren't latched properly, night shift staffed untrained, and manager is extremely petty and rude. My family and I booked about 7 rooms during our stay and one of them said the bolts did not latch when locking the door. The front desk said that because the hotel is newer, they have been finding that some of the other rooms were not locking correctly either and that some of the door locks were built incorrectly - definitely a concern for safety. The first night, we got stuck in the elevator after returning from a concert. We didn't realize at the time but admittedly, we acknowledged after the fact that there were too many of us that went in at the same time. Once the elevator closed, it tried to go up, stalled, then stopped completely. We were stuck for maybe 30 minutes until the firefighters got us out. Although this was our fault, there really was no care or sympathy shown by the new staff who had stepped in for that night shift. When we got out, they didn't say anything to us and seemed more annoyed than anything. The firefighters had to shut off the elevator and restart them, so for a short time there was no way to get upstairs. After our stay, I left a response and the manager responded by accusing us of "raving" in the elevator when in fact we simply were fanning each other to not pass out due to being stuck in an elevator and being in a hot elevator without air condition. If it wasn't for those fans and everybody staying strong, someone may have passed out or worse, so I don't appreciate the manager's accusations and lack of concern at all. Only positive thing I could say is how nice the front desk attendants were. As for blocking us from booking again, thank you for doing us a favor as we are never staying nor recommending Hotel Indigo ever. Do better. Thanks for reading and hope nobody ever experiences this.

When checking in, they asked us if we were here for a special occasion and upon learning that it was a girls night getaway, they provided us with BOGO app and drink coupons to the 2 restaurants onsite. They also suggested a few dishes to try. When we returned to our room after a show at the Orpheum, we found a bottle of bubbly with a handwritten note on the table!! It was such a kind gesture and so so thoughtful. I've never experienced something like that before - usually it's a birthday or anniversary where this type of stuff happens so we were thrilled the front desk would provide such a gift for friends simply getting together. We had dinner at Breva Bar (on the first floor) and loved the food. One tip - if the Minnesota Orchestra is having an event (close proximity), there will likely be a rush of diners beforehand and service can be tough/limited due to restaurant capacity. We experienced it first hand and had to wait a long time for food. But once the orchestra crowd cleared, it was prompt service. Another tip - do not skip the burrata & apple starter. It was so good we ordered it TWICE. Our room was on a high floor with views of downtown. The real star is though is the bed. I've stayed at Marriott properties before (Ivy is part of the Marriott family) but none of them compares to a Hotel Ivy bed. There's a reason this is a luxury hotel because this is a luxurious bed. Fun fact: Marriott actually sells these beds online and the prices are crazy expensive. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby the next morning. We enjoyed a simple but filling breakfast at the hotel bar before concluding our short 1 night but very memorable stay. So glad I got to experience Hotel Ivy, the beautiful ambiance, and stellar service. If I feel like spoiling myself again for another girls get together, I'm coming back here.

Very clean up to date comfortable hotel…read more Very clean but oddly laid out There's no drawers for clothes, just small desk drawers and a closet to hang stuff There are no towel holders near the shower, just a hook that is not really in reach Very nice blackout curtain, you can almost get total blackout except light bleed from top and bottom of curtain which is not much, and light from TV (red) and light that randomly flashes from fire alarm, and alarm clock if you don't face it down there is a constant fan (2) that blow, it does dry things fast if you wash something, like 2 hours passive, but it does hum the entire time there is a hair dryer but it's short so you can't really hold on to clothes to dry it with it cuz of how outlets are laid out i wish there was a seat in entranceway, it's kinda wasted space the doors are loud, you will feel them shake if it's the ones near you, they kinda slam for the most part it was very quiet in the hotel, you will hear ppl if they are loud in the hallways but i barely heard anyone the entire time staff are very friendly soap and shampoo etc are citrus, it smelled nice i like that you can get a foam pillow if you want through the app or just asking bed was nice and comfy, slept well over all i had them empty the mini fridge since those cost money they give you free water, you can get more free in the fitness center and you can get ear buds there for free

My wife and I stayed at this downtown Minneapolis hotel for our 3 night visit to the Twin Cities in…read moreMarch of 2026. We got to experience the huge swing in weather during our stay, using this hotel as a base to take public transport, rideshare, and private pickup/dropoff. The hotel ended up being a good choice. The Elliot is one of the more affordable choices currently in the Edit Collection of Hotels (only three in the Minneapolis area), curated by Chase Travel. We booked (and prepaid) our stay via the Chase Portal, instead of our typical MO of using the Marriott site directly. Positives (of doing it this way) were that we got a $100 stay credit, vouchers for full-service breakfast for two at the property restaurant (Tavola), late checkout, room upgrade, and loyalty credit. Negatives were that the rate is a bit higher than if directly booked (though the bi-annual $250 credit from the credit card more than made up for it), my loyalty status would have given me free breakfast, room upgrade, and late checkout anyway, and since loyalty points are based on how much you spend directly with the hotel, didn't get that many points for our stay (though you do get nights-stayed credit, in case that is important). The hotel opened in 2018 in its current association as a Marriott Autograph Collection member. Our room was ready for us for a 2 pm check-in, on the 4th floor (was told it was an 'upgrade') of an eight floor, 168 room hotel. The room was about 300 square feet in size and tastefully decorated, and had a couch (though not pull-out). The bed was very soft, towels were thick, and one bath robe was provided without asking. It had a modern, very large shower stall with barely-adequate shower pressure, large sink area, and a modern toilet that didn't always recharge after every flush without some manual jiggling. Sachajuan were the soap/shampoo brand used. A small fridge contained a mini-bar, but no microwave or place to sit down and eat. Two bottles of water were provided in the room at check-in. There was a modern flat screen tv with plenty of basic cable channels, and Google Chrome cast enabled, allowing mirroring from one's phone. Temperature controls worked well. Other property observations: - the hotel does seem well integrated with the Marriott ecosystem. I got timely texts, ability to see a lot of info on my Marriott app, - room service is provided via the downstairs restaurant. Morning coffee is available at the lobby. - the dedicated fitness center on the 3rd floor is large, with modern equipment. It is fully stocked, with clean towels (some stored in a small mini-fridge), disinfecting wipes, and bottled water. - there is a small shop, where the resort credit can be used. It carried unusual items (not typical hotel sundry items like soda or chips), and we ended up buying some sea salt flakes ($16) and some genuine swedish fish candy ($10) to completely use the resort credits. There were some problems getting the charges properly handled, but Feranda at the front desk patiently helped me resolve it during checkout. - one can decline housekeeping day by day, getting 1,000 points instead. We took advantage two times. - Normal checkout is 11am, extendable to 4 pm if qualifying. - During happy hour times (3 - 5), samples of two different draft (one beer, one root beer) are offered. - parking is via valet, $54 overnight. There is no mandatory resort fee. The hotel is located about 4 city blocks from the nearest light rail station, so getting to the airport is doable via train. And there is a nice curb manned by the valet where dropoffs/pickups can be safely done.

Not worth the hype…read more Was genuinely excited to stay at the W Minneapolis from Dec 19-22, but unfortunately the experience ended up feeling underwhelming, and stressful. Cost. The W is expensive, which shouldn't surprise anyone. Nightly rates hover around $200+ per night. Valet parking is $60 per night; objectively overpriced, though undeniably convenient. Additional fees: Pet owners, expect a $100 flat fee plus $25 per night, which adds up quickly. Where things start to fall apart is navigation and access to information. The hotel is surprisingly confusing to get around, and there's virtually no wayfinding or signage. In fully embracing the digital-only approach, the hotel has eliminated all traditional paper materials. No map. No room book. No quick-reference guide. Everything lives digitally. That sounds modern--until you need basic information like restaurant hours. eg). I attempted to visit the bar on floor 27 at around 330 pm. (It doesn't open until 5pm) However none of this is clearly displayed, and SUPER difficult to find without messaging the front desk and the Marriott app was hit-or-miss at best during my stay. The digital key never worked once, and even the room phone didn't function. That wouldn't be a huge issue if the app worked reliably--but it didn't. I did message the front desk through the app to request a USB-C charging cable and was told none were available. In 2025. At a W. That felt less like sleek minimalism and more like missed fundamentals. Food/ Room Service: Absolutely excellent. Manny's Steakhouse and the Prohibition Bar are both fantastic and independently operated in partnership with the hotel. See Manny's Steakhouse for a full review, it alone was a highlight of the stay. The room itself was very spacious, but it's important to remember this is an old building, and it shows. I struggled to maintain a consistent water temperature the entire stay. The room layout was also frustrating: the TV is mounted far from the bed, on a wall shared with neighboring rooms. Turning up the volume even slightly resulted in a noise complaint from next door. Yep, that actually happened. Overall, the W Minneapolis has style, history, and good food...but the experience feels more focused on image than guest usability. With better wayfinding, reliable tech, and basic in-room information, this could be a great stay. As it stands, it didn't live up to the hype
