Cool outdoor pop-up coffee place. Great service. Come around here if you're walking around old town Pasadena and want to try great coffee.

This place is the new hotness- they've got probably the best pour over coffee I've ever had and you can feel the passion and care of the people that operate this popup from the moment you walk up. Highly recommend this spot for anyone interested in specialty coffee and a pleasant atmosphere.

Element Coffee Roasters specializes in a modern approach to pour-over brewing, and the owner's passion for coffee is evident in every detail. The team is highly knowledgeable about coffee beans and has recently begun roasting in-house, guaranteeing outstanding freshness. Their selection ranges from expertly crafted daily brews to specialty offerings and even award-winning competition coffees. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the welcoming atmosphere makes every visit a pleasure. I am excited to try the beans I purchased.

She was genuinely engaged in talking about coffee, understood the beans she was serving, and was able to answer questions without hesitation. That's becoming harder to find these days, and it definitely added to the overall experience. The cortado itself was well executed. The temperature was right where it should be, allowing the flavors to come through immediately without having to wait for the drink to cool down. I was able to clearly taste the notes in the coffee, and the balance between the espresso and milk was excellent. The body held together nicely throughout the drink and never felt thin or watered down. My only critique would be that the crema and microfoam leaned a little more matte and foamy than glossy. It wasn't enough to take away from the drink, but a slightly silkier, shinier texture would have elevated it even further. That said, this was an Ethiopian natural, which can be a bit trickier to dial in and pair with milk while still preserving the character of the coffee, so it's a fairly minor criticism. Overall, a very good cortado from a shop that clearly cares about coffee. Good execution, proper temperature, clear flavor separation, and knowledgeable staff always make for a better coffee experience.

It was really creamy and nutty. Pleasantly surprised and now a new favorite! I will say, for the size, $7 is a little steep, but it can be an occassional treat. I will say, I appreciated how to cup has a snap on drinking hole cover instead of the flimsy ones that don't fully close.

They're open daily - 7:30am - 4:30pm Parking is plentiful since the parking lot is spacious. Service was friendly and welcoming. Inside has a good amount of seating and power outlets, making it a great spot to hang out or study! Got the Cloudy ($7) which is an Iced Americano with red date and pear cream top. It's only available iced & 14 oz. They have milk substitutions (oat/almond) for +$1 and lactaid 2% free of charge! The coffee was quite strong but not too bitter or overpowering. The cream top was slightly thick in consistency so definitely recommend giving it a good stir prior to drinking. It wasn't too sweet and tasted very refreshing. Really enjoyed the hint of red date and pear taste! Definitely a MUST GET! Overall, I really enjoyed my drink and experience and would definitely return and recommend!

I'm also not sure if Wynd is part of it as well (they were located on Virgil but moved elsewhere in the Arts District), but I did notice there was some sort of pop-up happening here too. I really love the location it's in, it's sort of hidden, and you might actually miss it if you're not looking for it. You park in the lot adjacent to it, and there's a sign that leads you to walk in. It really does feel like an oasis, like some people have described, tucked away from everything. Anyways, the coffee is amazing. The attention to detail these coffee shops put into everything is the cherry on top of it all. I'm a simple gal with my iced lattes with whole milk and no sweetener, and this place just knows how to get the ratio right, smooth, balanced, and not overpowering at all. Aside from it all, this location is definitely promising and I can see a lot of other businesses flourishing here. The vibe is so Zen.

I've stopped by a handful of times, and every visit has been great. Their drinks are consistently well-made, whether it's the cold brew or the iced matcha with cold foam. They are on the pricier side (the Costa Rica SIL Honey Geisha cold brew is $11), but the quality matches the cost. The staff are welcoming, the wait isn't bad and while there's no indoor seating, there plenty of space outside. Bonus: free parking in their lot!
