I've really enjoyed all the other Loquat locations. Now that this opened up by our place, we had to check it out. The location has a very nice quiet minimalist aesthetic, tucked in the corner of a cul de sac. Great space to get some work/writing done. However, currently there is no Wifi. Service was friendly and the wait time for drinks is fairly quick. The drinks we got tasted smooth and well balanced. The pastries are good and would love to come back and try their breakfast burritos. The retail store next door is great and has a wide variety of coffee beans and matcha to purchase.

This place feels like a hidden secret garden. Minimalist and intentional with strong Japan-meets-Copenhagen energy. Calm, quiet, and beautifully restrained. It feels more like a curated space or small museum than a typical cafe. Order Highlights: We ordered several drinks and loved all of them. Standouts were the Matcha Latte and Cloudy With a Chance of Peanuts. Balanced, thoughtful, and clearly quality-driven. The Mocha is high on our list for next time. Service: Wait times vary wildly depending on when you come. We've experienced everything from 30 seconds to 30 minutes. Mornings move fast, afternoons can back up. Regardless, service is efficient and you can tell each drink is made with serious care and attention to detail. Good For: A quiet coffee break, design lovers, and anyone who appreciates intentional spaces. The retail area is beautifully curated with unique items you do not see everywhere, which helps explain the higher price point. Price and Value: Comparable to other specialty cafes in Los Angeles. You are paying for quality, atmosphere, and the overall experience, not just a drink. Parking: Dedicated parking lot on site, which is rare in LA and a huge reason we keep coming back. Pro Tip: Come early if you want pastries. The case is often empty by afternoon. Seating is mostly outdoors and on dirt, so dress accordingly.

Admittedly, we haven't been to Loquat or Kumquat yet - and have heard only great things about both coffee shops, but have been to Fondry! And so with a free Sunday morning, we made the trek out to Glassell Park to check out Quat LA - and we loved everything about it! When we arrived around 11:30am, there were about 3 parties in front of us, and the line moved quickly. We ordered the latte (hot) and cloudy with a chance of peanuts, along with the kouign amann (from Fondry). The drinks were good, nothing crazy, but solidly good. Although I should note that the cloudy drink is on the smaller side and I wish the peanut butter flavor was stronger. But what we appreciated even more was the space and the complex and being able to just sit and rest with our dog, who probably loved his experience the most. The retail store is also cute with an assortment of coffee related items, merch, and a number of beans. In total, we spent about two hours here, sitting, sipping, people watching, reading - just trying to enjoy a perfect LA day. It can get sunny though, so make sure to bring sunglasses/a hat. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the biggest perk of all - the free parking in the lot adjacent to the complex! Even though Glassell Park is furthest from us, in comparison to the other coffee shops, we'd probably return here most often because of the parking and the spacious seating. We'll be back soon!

If you love trying specialty coffees and willing to spend a bit more for it, come try QUAT. Known for their other successful locations Loquat and Kumquat, Quat is constantly buzzing in the LA coffee scene. Expect a line, especially in the mornings. We waited in line for about 25 minutes and they had ran out of whole milk by the time we got to the front. The cafe is majority outdoor seating so very much weather dependent location. The private parking lot is right outside which is convenient. My matcha cloud latte was decent, not mindblowing or memorable in any way though. The topping was really rich and milky. The matcha wasn't strong or earthy forward. The whole drink was pretty mild in taste and mostly was creamy rather than matcha. My husband's latte was enjoyable but the cup was really small for the price. Its best to drink it immediately before it even has the chance to water down. With that said, I think the coffee here is better than the matcha. They have some nice merchandise, coffee tools, beans, matcha powder, and coffee books for sale.

Taking advantage of LA's more decent traffic right after Thanksgiving, I finally paid a visit to Quat. Not only the road, the venue itself was at least less busy during this period. I've been hearing at least 30 minutes queue before even able to either place your order or enjoy your drink, but this weekend was much quieter (not like the venue was empty for sure, there's still quite a crowd there!). You could really tell the slow and chill vibes right by the time you enter the venue. People just sit and relax, mostly within their groups or with their pets; yep the venue was really suitable to do so! Don't be surprise that there will be tons of dog-barking to hear! Despite the huge open-air seating space to let you get sun-kissed, the indoor order area was quite tiny. They offered handful selections of drinks as well as the coffee beans. My visit was the last collab day with Wynd, which got me so excited being A HUGE FAN of it! As expected, very impressed by their signature Tres Leches. Decadently bold coffee, well balanced by the mascarpone cream top and cinnamon hint. It's kind of like dessert coffee, but not overly creamy that giving you 'too much' feeling #IYKYK. Really looking forward to seeing what they're going to carry out next post this collab and I'd surely be a happy returning customer!

Quat is a coffee compound, while I mainly came here to drink coffee, this location offers the best retail shop for coffee I've ever seen. There are so many accessories for coffee including an expansive offering of beans. I do plan on coming back and getting some coffee items. Onsite aside from the store is the roastery for quat and retail shop. Seating is all outside but there is a nice outside area to enjoy your coffee. I tired two of their signature coffee Yuzu coffee punch and Muscuvado latte. First the punch has to be the most unique coffee concoction ever. I was told they make the milk clear. It is a unique citrus taste with coffee flavor very hard to describe. The latte I had was pretty solid, I think next time I'll get my coffee hot. Coming here makes me want to try both the other Loquat & Quat locations , I can't wait to come back. If you're a craft coffee lover you have to visit this place.

I am a huge fan of both kumquat and loquat so I was very excited to see they were opening this location. They are still currently in their soft opening phase but are doing a collaboration with wynd for a bit so their general menu is not available. Park in the designated lot to the left of the street and walk across to the warehouse studios. Inside they have two buildings, one for retail and the other for the cafe. The retail side has a wide variety of coffee, tea, barista tools and misc items. Seating for the cafe is only outside.

It is Spring, a day before Easter and time for something new. Went to try Quat after having the tried and trues in NELA... Kumquat and Loquat, for years. And, what a treat it was to take the extra drive to the border of LA and Glendale (it's a big commitment to be so close to the SFV ...maybe it is the heat, the traffic, or the stress of dealing with the magnetic pull of the North ; p). This place is a beautiful location, very secluded from the hustle and bustling streets leading to Glendale and Atwater. There are lots of seating for groups or solo caffeine dosing. Without a doubt, pastries are going to be excellent since Fondry is the purveyor of anything carby at this spot. So, with that addressed and out of the way, the main reason for visiting Quat is the coffee, like Loquat, the roast and espresso is top notch. I love the drip, its so beautiful, flavorful and fruity. It's my top 3 for weekend coffee. Smooth!!! If you got a lil extra coin in the digital wallet, a must try is the Mascarpone. A cold latte like espresso drink that is so nice it can be under appreciated. The drink has a straight cold milk base with espresso topped with a mascarpone foam, bitter nibs, and coco powder. There are a few ice cubes to keep things cool, but not too many that the drinks integrity starts to change when you pick it up. With the ratio and ingredients, this drink has a wonderful mouthfeel and flavor experience. Once mixed evenly, per the barista's advice, the first impression is the velvety texture of the drink... then, you get a sweet cream taste that is wrapped by a toasty coffee flavor from the espresso. What brings it to the next level is the little bitter nibs floating in the drink, it provides a crunchy coco contrast to the drink. Just amazing. This drink alone makes it worth the wait in line and for the order to be made. The baristas are top notch, service is so good, and location is beautiful ...3 more reasons to visit Quat besides excellent coffee roast.

Saw this place on Tiktok and had to stop by! I got "The Marble" and was told it was more dessert like by the employee. Service was really nice! Lots of outdoor seating . They even had a store next door which had some nice coffee or matcha making ingredients. Parking next door was plentiful. The vibe was very nice overall!

I waited an hour and a half for these drinks, but it was worth it. The mascarpone cream top made the drinks taste unique and the matcha quality is amazing. This is one of my new favorite LA drinks, coming from a coffee shop lover. I'll definitely be back when there's a shorter line!

A coffee place with big patio, parking and is dog friendly. I think this would be a perfect co-working area if they expands their opening hours. Service was quick. I ordered a matcha latte and it was good, but not memorable, just your typical $7 LA matcha latte. Love that they have an open space so my pup can chill by my side and the jazzy music is definitely a plus.

This cost me $9 with tip.

Unfortunately, the experience has been consistently disappointing. Walking into a coffee shop should feel welcoming. Instead, most visits feel cold and uncomfortable. There is rarely a hello, welcome, smile, or thank you from the staff. The overall attitude often feels bothered or uninterested, almost like customers are an inconvenience rather than appreciated guests. The coffee itself is decent at times, inconsistent at others, but customer service is what keeps people coming back. I truly hope the owner and management take this feedback seriously and focus on creating a more welcoming environment. A simple greeting, smile, and positive attitude go a long way. There are many coffee shops people can choose from, and feeling appreciated matters just as much as the product itself. I wanted to support this business, but after many visits and the same experience over and over again, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

It's not thick and chunky like their other stuff. And it's actually good?? I hate that it's good because I went from a Heytea hater to a Heytea frequenter. It's floral, fragrant and it's a perfect mix of guava and milk/cream. Never would I have thought to pair guava and dairy together BUT IT WORKS SOMEHOW. Think strawberries and cream... but guava. The jasmine tea isn't prominent but it's there as a base layer and definitely smells soooo good. The guava taste is strong and I don't know what magic they put in there but it's not artificial and gross. The cream on top is nice too! I tend to drink from the lid the first and just enjoy the cream and then afterwards I'll mix it in with the drink. It's $8 which is pricey.... But I hate that I like it.
