2/11/2026 Stockholm Fog (The perfect of Mocha + Chai flavor blend) They gave me a sample of this as iced drink. Spicy, but very creamy and slightly on the sweeter side. You can taste the chai flavors which is forward in this drink, but due to the creaminess of the milk and the chocolate, it is a harmonious drink. It is slightly more on the sweet side. Cappuccino (2oz double shot of Classic or Modern Espresso + the milk of your preference Served in a 5oz cup) It was good and creamy. Did add a packet of sugar as usual. Light sourness and bitterness of the espresso. The temperature could be hotter, as it would probably get cold much sooner than later. Personally, it wasn't my favorite cappuccino, as I like my drinks a bit more frothier. Customer Service The person taking my order was nice, but at the same time, I can tell she was a bit annoyed at my many questions of their coffee options. However, she got through it with a smile! The barista making the drink was very nice and encouraged me to order a cappuccino with chocolate, as she made one for herself earlier. I was going to, but maybe another time. Space / Ambiance It is a nice modern space, mostly dark furniture and tables and chairs of metal and wood. About 9 tables of 2. All of them were taken by those working on their laptops. The exterior wall with large windows is dotted with minimalist seating. Just a couple small tables and chairs to enjoy your morning latte as passersby greet you. As soon as you enter, the rich dark academia decor instantly sets a calming tone. The baristas are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I ordered an iced honey latte but I was lucky to taste the hot vanilla latte as well and both were nutty, rich, perfectly sweetened and delicious. Loved the decor and the fact that it was fairly quiet unlike other coffee shops in the area. Decided to order their featured coffee, The Diviso. As others have stated, was pretty pricey but was intrigued with the flavor description. My buddy ordered their regular drip of the day. Pretty cool presentation and the coffee was pretty good. Loved how they give you some of the grinds to smell as you enjoy the cup of coffee. Now onto my buddy's drip. Though he did enjoy the coffee, what was strange was that there were coffee grinds at the bottom of his cup. I am saddened to say, but 3rd wave is dead. If you enjoyed the heyday of original G&B and the likes 15 years ago, you'll realize quickly that as shops are now roasting their own, that the taste profile is now hitting the "sophisticated Charbucks" drinkers. As of late, every shop that we have tried either roasts their own or use roasters that are heavy on the burned taste side. I understand, majority of "coffee lovers" would probably order a 32oz coffee that tastes like horchata or some sugary flavored. I would predict that at least 75% of orders are some sort of latte iced or hot. The Boy and The Beat is a nice little shop, very modern and chill vibe. If I enjoyed lattes, this and many of the newer shops would be a pleasure, but since my palette revolts to the burnt aftertastes of a cortado and even a cappuccino, I will need to hard pass. The service was ok, one person was nice and the other hated life. It's unfortunate, but I do get it. The coffee shop is on the corner of the street and inside it is very sleek/modern looking with tables for working. It isn't too loud so it is definitely a place that one can work at. I am typically an iced Americano drinker, but today I got a cold brew with a heavy splash of oat milk. The drink itself is quite interesting as initially there is a bitterness that hits the back of your mouth and kind of coats your whole mouth. Then comes the sourness with a hint of something that reminds you of fruit/floral notes. It keeps me coming back for multiple sips. I would say half way through the drink, I do find the sourness that lingers not my favorite. It could be that I am used to cold brews that have sour notes that mellow out into sweetness. The lady at the counter did tell me that they offer a cold brew latte that offers a heavier pour of milk which I would be interested to try since I think with some more milk and maybe with a bit of syrup, it would round out the bitterness and sweetness will bring out the more fruit/floral notes. Overall I give this cold brew a 5/10 as it is a drink I would like to play around with customizing it to be a drink I would get more often. I would love to come back again, but I would admit the parking situation was a bit difficult so may not return as often.
