This is an excellent Element overall. This location primary serves business travelers as it's literally located in a business park. If you're expecting incredible views this just ain't it. It has easy access to highway 26 to downtown portland and PDX and to Cornell Rd/Bethany for all the usual local amenities like Safeway etc. The hotel is modern, clean, well equipped with amenities such as: saline pool, fitness center, hot item breakfast, coffee and tea in the lobby, complimentary beer and wine monday thru thursday, a comfortable and spacious lounge with television to watch sporting events, a friendly and courteous front desk staff who are available 24/7 to help with anything. The suites are spacious and modern--the king and double queen suites come with a basic microwave, kitchen sink and basic utensils/plates for some light meal prep. You'll have to grave to the 1 bedroom suites to get the full kitchen. TVs are modern LED displays with basic cable and a few streaming apps. The bathrooms are sleek with glass and tile throughout. The linens are a step up from i'd say a....hampden inn....plenty of light comes in from the sun in the western facing rooms. For around a 160 dollar price point this fit the bill for me. It ain't gonna knock your socks off with amazing perks or views but for the price i paid being congruent with the value provided overall they knocked it out of the park!

Fourth night here. Kids partying outside of our room with music and BBQ and everything. These kids are not even staying here. All the staff we have seen is very young and it seems that their friends are allowed to be here all day and night. They are constantly eating and drinking beer in the lobby and hanging out around the whole hotel like it's their home. It makes us as guests feel like we are invading their space. Horrible feeling. Horrible experience. Hate this hotel. Lasyly, kids couldn't go swimming for the 4 days we were here do to the NASTY pool. Photos advertised online of the pool with the glass ceiling are NOT of this hotel.

Cedartree Hotel in Hillsboro was a breath of fresh air. Totally love the Japanese owned hotel. I'm…read moretold it is about 3 years old...so everything is spotless, high quality and well-tended. I particularly love the Koi pond in the lobby. When was the last time you saw that? The rooms were comfy, amazing tub/shower area. AC works great. There were only 2 pillows on the King bed...so we had to ask for another. The pillows could have been better, but they were acceptable. The large Japanese bath pools were kept at 102 degrees. One for men, one for women. Locker areas stocked with plenty of towels, showers and high-quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash. My only surprise based on the listing was that these are not "hot springs". They are shallow, warm bath soaking pools. I think the misrepresentation is due to language/translation difficulties. They are in the process of building a nice size outdoor Japanese bath which will be co-ed. Will be back when that opens for sure! Breakfast was delicious. Don't miss one of their made to order omelets! The sausage side was much better than the ham. The cost of breakfast is not included...but overall, the stay was a good value. Highly recommend!

The shower with a soaking tub was awesome, but you have to step all the way in to turn the water on, and then you have to dodge it on your way out. The door had a pretty bad leak at the bottom too, the typical leak you see with glass shower doors. Leaked out of the door and made a beeline for the carpet. We did not try the onsen. The restaurant was the highlight, *amazing* food and cool staff. I'd go back for the food alone. I ordered a wagyu filet for dinner and grilled salmon for breakfast. A young blonde man helped us, I asked for the name of the Japanese sauce and he wrote it down and handed me the ingredient list. Awesome guy, he deserves a raise.

McMenamins Grand Lodge - There is seating all around the building with beautiful antique lamps.

Our king room was spacious, comfortable, and dog-friendly. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches for our pup, including food and water bowls in the room and a welcome treat upon arrival. One of the perks of staying overnight is access to the outdoor soaking pool, which is always a highlight. The property has plenty to enjoy, including several bars, a main restaurant, a spa, and even a movie theater. There's enough to keep you entertained without ever needing to leave the grounds. We're big fans of McMenamins in general and, as Tripsters, we're always happy to visit their unique properties. Grand Lodge continues to be one of our favorites. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. At times they seem a bit understaffed and can get busy, but the employees always do their best to provide great service and make guests feel taken care of. Overall, it's a fun and relaxing place to stay, and we look forward to coming back again next year.

As described on their website, "the stately manor is filled with one-of-a-kind rooms, a beguiling ghost, spa, soaking pool, theater, games and restaurants serving handcrafted goodness." You were provided a map and wandered from the attic to the basement. Each floor was an exciting new adventure with pictures, paintings of/by previous guests, and fascinating historical commentary. We ate lunch there and it was delicious. Their menu is quite varied with specials each day and even vegan offerings. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and purchase several things from the on-site gift shop. Parking was easy, employees were friendly and helpful, and the hours we spend wandering the mansion were a fantastic way to spend a rainy afternoon. I would even return when we're next in the area because I know there's probably much that we missed.

However I was refused the $50/10,000 point credit for a 3night stay, even though my stay was 3 nights. Fun side activity: I also had several deposits held on my card - one for each night - and had to check in & out every day. Our room had loud, pounding music all day & night - we thought it was a neighbor; turns out we were above the pool. I was told how sorry they were, and that was it. We had to try to work & take meetings with a constant, loud bass in the background, as well as try to sleep through it. After several texts and complaints, on the third and last night, somebody finally turned it off at 7PM. Not worth the comfy bed & free juice.

He asked how we were doing and so forth. Cons - there was a male individual at the counter speaking to him before we walked in.....without a shirt and only wearing dark colored boxer briefs. Not something that should have been acceptable. Other Pros - Breakfast was good and well stocked. In addition to a make your own waffle station, there were bagels and yogurt, as well as a warm food bar with scrambled eggs, bacon, French toast and biscuits with gravy. Juice options and coffee/tea rounded the corner. Beds were a plus. Firm mattress and supportive pillows. The main issue was the guy wearing nothing but his briefs at the front desk when we came in.
