Go to pick it up and am greeted with unwarranted attitude. I mean I see my order, but some lady tells me I have to wait 3 arbitrary minutes. If it were busy, then I get it, but it wasn't, so what the fuck is their problem? Maybe customer service isn't high on their priorities. Or they just suck. When I finally get my order, it's feeling particularly light. And for good reason : they took one serving of chow mein and placed it in 2 togo containers and gave no chicken whatsoever. Okay, maybe one small sliver cut into 2 pieces total. 2 for 1, my ass. If they meant 2 containers equalling 1 serving, then they totally nailed it. Why? Why the attitude? Why are you ripping me off? Why when you're not even the best place to eat on that block? Oh yeah, the Ambiance? Also sucked. Food is alright. What I'd suggest, forget about this place and go to the Other Dumpling place down the street. Again, forget the King dump of bleep, bleep, bleep, bleep.

Quality/Quantity - What?!?! How do I NOT have a Yelp review for this business?!?!…read moreI am a regular customer when in the city. Well, I guess it has been a long time since I shopped and cooked when in the city, but you know that because you are following and see my excessive unhealthy eating out... So with that said, I bought a bunch of veggies and fruit. Sorry, the fruits were in the compost bags. Going to cook some healthy meals while (stuck) in the city. Maybe even upload it to Yelp if I am not too busy. Ambiance - Decent size location, especially for the city. Smaller than your usual Smart and Final. But there is a huge parking lot, which is rare in the city, thank you. This is mainly the reason I am a customer here. That, plus I am always shopping on Clement street. Service - Self service. Check out was friendly and easy. Only two registers were open today, one express one regular. But it moved fairly quickly. Price - $26, reasonable for SF prices. Only about half the items were on sale. I miss my San Leandro Food Max and my Reno Winco. We go here once or twice a year and shop for plates and bowls for our house. You can buy one or more of any style. The prices are excellent. The service is fast at the register. It's hard to imagine you wouldn't leave with a few things that you didn't know you needed. Lastly, it's worth noting that they are very consistent in their brands. So if you buy dishes and a few years later, need to replace one or two due to breakage or wear and tear overtime, they will likely still have the exact same item. This makes keeping your dishes, consistent as opposed to a mishmash of different types and styles.

Firstly, it was my first time shopping at a co op and I really really really love that aspect of it. Anytime I can support a business like this, I want to! But beyond that, I was skeptical that the prices would be outrageous and was fairly surprised that they really weren't! Ok sure, some items were pricey, and that's true for any small store in this city, but for the bulk items and dry goods, the pricing was incredibly reasonable! I even found the same scones I buy at my local box box grocery store for cheaper here!! What?! I was also just blown away by the variety of choices.. they've got everything here.. produce, condiments, dry goods, chips, snacks, bulk items, tea, medicines and supplements, and a section of boutique handmade goods that was so awesome to look through!! I don't live close by but I will be back anytime I go to see my friend (which is often).

The staff is friendly and the portions are generous, this is an awesome deal. My only negative is their carts for the disabled. They are awful! I had such a difficult time attempting to drive it. It has a ridiculous sensor that makes it impossible to drive as it automatically stops every time you are 2 feet from an object or person. They are also very slow, if I could have I would have not used it, but unfortunately that's not an option for as I have great difficulty walking.
