The massage didn't seem thorough, didn't focus on the points we mentioned, and only lasted 50 min for one hour massage. Felt like we were being massaged by therapists with not a lot of experience. Even driving past the building front makes me feel a little more relaxed. The lobby is cozy and has lots of great tea, which I thought was a nice touch. The staff is so kind and pleasant and the hot tubs are huge and luxurious. The massage was amazing too - my job is very physical and I have some chronic pain issues and after that massage I felt like my muscles were relaxed for the first time in years. The massage therapist even gave me some tips at home to relieve some of my pain. Everything about the experience was so pleasant and perfect. My husband and I treated ourselves to a soak and massage for our seven year anniversary. We had the "fire" hot tub room for 30 min prior to our couples massage. The front staff was friendly and the lobby is filled with a warm and cozy feeling. Our hot tub room was clean and comfortable. They provided towels (I brought my own hair wrap), shampoo and body wash, robes and flip flops. I love that they require showering before soaking, which adds to the already high clean water practices. 30 min was the perfect amount of time. Our massages were AMAZING! I had Edwin as my LMT and my husband had Lia, also a LMT. I can only speak for my own experience but it was the best massage I've ever had!!! He really listened to my areas of pain and concern and addressed them perfectly. My husband really enjoyed his massage as well and we look forward to going back some time when we are in MA. This is from a visit several weeks ago, so hopefully the kinks have been ironed out: I used to love it here however my last experience since the new ownership was not great. They used to be very strict with the employees and patrons about being quiet while massages were in progress. While I was there for a massage (my first since Covid! Highly anticipated) there were two or three very loud young women employees talking in the front room throughout my entire massage. Sound carries and I could hear every word, clearly. It was pretty awful. My massage therapist also talked throughout my massage. Asking me questions and "making conversation." I resisted at first, but after 30 minutes of the girl's voices echoing throughout the place, I gave in and we talked for the rest of the hour. Not relaxing at all. I've been to Elements Amherst numerous times for deep-tissue massage. My most recent massage was with Patricia, although I've had a handful of other therapists, all of whom were fantastic. Patricia, in particular, knew how to target tense areas and was very responsive to my needs. The best massages I've ever had have easily come from Elements. Additionally, the ambiance in the facility is soothing and relaxing. I almost fell asleep in the waiting area because I was so relaxed, and knowing how gentle and kind the staff are, it wouldn't have been the least bit embarrassing! Highly recommended. read more

we booked a couple massage and was the last couple for the day. we where running late due to family emergency they told us they would have to take time off and then charged us for the full hour. the massages where the worst I have ever had. I was more tense then relaxed I did not get what I wanted for the areas I asked. they used lavender which I love, no hot towels to rub it off after massage. it was almost like they wanted to get out for the day. The music in the room was not relaxing at all upbeat. There was no fluent movement in massage stop pressure, then move pressure. At one point during the massage I almost asked to stop it was uncomfortable especially my neck. I do not recommend this place at all. we both have demanding jobs that involve using our bodies and if your looking for relaxation or to massage out an area that is hurting this place is not a place to go. Very disappointing to look forward to a massage and not feel like it did any good after actually had more pain. I could not get out of there fast enough. waste of time and money! read more

We came here on New Year's Eve for my birthday. We enjoyed and hour hot tub (outside) and a hour long couples massage. The only thing I would change is to have the little at the outdoor hot tub be a lot dimmer and romantic. It was very bright and kind of took away from the ambiance. The massages were great, but after I felt a little rushed out. It would be nice to sit and relax and enjoy a cup of tea on our robes rather than get dressed right anyway when you are still oily and trying to stay in that relaxed frame of mind. Very clean which was super important. My husband and I went for a spa day session, 30 min hot tub and 60 couples massage. We used the outdoor tub which was nice and cool while relaxing in the hot tub. Only issues were that we heard a close and loud train go by while in the tub and when our 30 mins was up they told us they were going to knock but we were not sure if they did or not so it made us a bit anxious and we ended up getting out about 5 mins early. The massages were fantastic and they made sure to check on every move to assure we had a great experience. Very relaxing, I think next time we will go for an indoor tub as it is not as loud as the outdoor tub (I assume). The price is right and the packages they offer are great. I felt very well taken care of. Indoor hot tubs come with a steam shower. You could personalize the experience with aromatherapy oil in the steam room and your choice of music (or none if you desired quiet). The hot tub was quite large. I also got a sports massage. Jackie was fantastic. I am a dancer and had been at an intensive training the past week. She worked through some tight areas while working with stretching to manipulate the muscles. This was the best massage therapy session which I have experienced since I have lived in the Northeast. Kudos to this place for providing an immaculate setting. Rest rooms , hot tub rooms and the rooms where the massages take place were all very well kept and clean. When these people say that they clean up after each occupant has used one of their hot tubs they are telling the truth. Also the water is refilled often so it is crisp and clean with no chenucals. Their customer service was a breath of fresh air. They allowed me to enter my relaxation area early since I arrived about 15 minutes prior. Plus the masseuse (Emma) did a very thorough massage and explained a lot as well. This made me realize that purchasing the 90 minute massage was the way to go. Not to mention that she's a fellow foodie so she provided me with an extensive list of restaurants to check out in the area also some options out of state. This place might be an hour and a half drive for me but, its worth the adventure. I will definitely set another appointment soon! read more

In the Pioneer Valley there are VERY few choices as to where to unwind and enjoy a soak in a hot tub. Two that are within an hour of Greenfield, MA. East Heaven Spa in Northampton (See my review for them as well) and Elements, in Amherst, MA. I have been to Elements over 15 times since I have found it, so I know the place very well. Always clean and consistent. Tubs are clean 9/10 times. They have a great steam room included in the price of the hot tub rental. This makes this location a great treat. If you prefer you can get a dry sauna instead. In fact, it is easier to do so. I would like the hot tub heat to be set a little lower as I have to take medication which makes it not tolerable to stay in for the full hour and I find that a half hour....start to finish, is not enough time to come in for a landing, unwind and shower and be ready in time. Clothing optional and that is a plus. Now, you can (like most spas) choose music to play in your private room. I however find that it can be too loud or too quite and by the time your in the tub, it is not practical to run to the front desk for an adjustment. You can occasionally hear noises while relaxing from the other areas of the spa. Their competitors have nipped this in the bud. One time the tub was missing pieces of the jets and the light was not working. The steam room has been down several visits as well, so I advise to call ahead, if you wish to have that as part of your experience. An hour for 2 is $60 and a steam room OR sauna is INCLUDED in that price, unlike their competitors, which charge the same $60/hour for 2 people. I am a fan of Elements and enjoy their boutique as well. I would enjoy if they had a selection of soap, shampoos and conditioners, like the other spas that I frequent. I would HIGHLY recommend this gem hidden in Amherst, MA. read more

Took my boyfriend here for his bday last night. I had actually found a groupon for it a few weeks ago. I hadn't heard good things about another hot tub place in noho (you know what I'm talking about I'm sure) so I was a little leery of this place. I booked us an outside tub for 8:45 after the sun had set and we could see the stars. We checked in and were escorted to our room fairly quickly. The ambiance of the entry is low lighting, very spa like. Our outdoor room (I just realized I have no idea which room it was called) was to the right, down a corridor. The girl checking us in explained what buttons to touch, not to touch on the tub, told us she would flash the lights 10 minutes before our time was up and that we needed to shower before getting in. She shut the door and so began a romantic hour under the stars. Perfect weather. The tub was 105 which to me is SO hot and the bf wasn't crazy about that either. I understand they have to keep it at a certain temp and I just ran to the outdoor shower every so often to cool off and get back in. The tub itself was amazing. I really needed it after a stressful week at work. The bf was thrilled (and surprised) that you didn't need a bathing suit for this (TMI? haha). I was a little sad we couldn't have music play outside and I needed the jets to be on the whole time so that we couldn't hear the room next to us having a conversation. But overall it was great, romantic and I look forward to going again. Next time a massage is DEFINITELY going to be on the agenda. read more

Elements is where I go to spoil myself every once in a while. Their website is convenient. You can buy gift certificates online for yourself or as a gift for others. You can redeem the gift certificates at any time within I believe 3-5 years before they expire. The service list is extensive. The staff is kind, considerate, professional. They treat you with respect, they ask you if they can do anything different to make you enjoy it more. There is a variety of hot tub rooms, both outdoors and indoors. Some of the hot tub rooms have a hot tub, shower, and sauna in them. The decor is beautiful. It's kind of expensive, but what special treat for yourself isn't? It's like a mini vacation. You lose track of time while you're being massaged by the experienced staff they have. I highly suggest that everyone tries Elements at least once. They are the best. I have been 5 times. Absolutely loved this place - my boyfriend and I did a 1 hour hot tub and 1 hour couples massage, and I cannot wait to go back! Their pricing is very reasonable, the massage was excellent (I believe I had Ursa, and she was wonderful), and the atmosphere is so tranquil and indulgent. I highly recommend the outdoor hot tubs, it was such a cool experience. Best go when it's cold, those tubs are kept at a constant high temp and you can't adjust it.
