I tend to talk to much- and she did too....so we didn't really get into the music or relaxation of it all. She did a great job over all... and tried to work with my tense areas. Perhaps if I could afford to go back- things would be better. But this was a gift certificate and it didn't seem like the membership offer was really that much cheaper. The foyer is nicely decorated, very clean, and it has a sense of tranquility and calm. I liked the options you have inside the room: you are able to change the light, the volume of the music and also change the temperature of the massage table. The therapist was a delight, always asking if the pressure was OK. When the massage was over, I felt renovated; as the stress of the day was just lifted off my shoulders. The owners really care about all of their clients and if they even think there is an issue they are right there for you; so don't hesitate to speak up! I never had anything less than a GREAT Massage. Its not easy getting body work off strangers for a woman. I would appreciate profile pics or even a short video with everyone in it on the website to make a more comfortable choice but I read each therapists bio and chose based on experience. Booking online, on the day was quick and convenient. Reception is professional. I didn't have to wait long which was very good as I was anxious because I injured my lower back at the gym the day before. Andrea was my massage therapist and her personality and massaging technique is great. She has an assured, gentle nature with a firm touch and I felt relaxed with her from the beginning. The reasons my review is not 5 stars is because this is my first massage in America and I had to ask how things were done here which seemed unusual as it should have been evident from forms filled out that this was my first time at Elements. I also would have liked more attention to my well being knowing I was injured offering tissues or water during the massage to allow my breath to catch up as I felt each muscle get deep treatment. What I would have appreciated the most though was being made aware of how Elements pricing systems worked before my massage not after. Sales should not be more important than a customers well being. Andrea's massage was so good it took me a few hours, lots of water as she recommended and a nice dinner before I could really think again lol Its now the day after and I was able to go to the gym today with some modifications to support my back noticing my whole body is benefiting from my massage with Andrea which I am very thankful for and would be more than willing to have a massage with her again without a doubt though the pricing might hinder this happening. I got a large discount paying $49 not $89 since it was my first visit. I am hoping Elements will team up with Orange Theory Fitness where I am 3-5 times a week to work out some great deals for those who would like to be frequent, long term customers. read more

So I started with the Groupon and they offered me the monthly massage plan for $50 each so I went with it. The massages were always satisfactory, though not spectacular and always shorter than the promised 60 minutes; though that is perhaps a story for another time. I couldn't use my massages fast enough to keep them from accumulating during my pregnancy and after having a c-section (when I was unable to drive or even function really) I opted to suspend the account. When the account charges resumed I found that I was too busy chasing my infant around to take regularly scheduled Mommy Time and decided to cancel my account. The front office staff were really cool about it and said that my remaining sessions (5 or 6) would NEVER EXPIRE and could even be turned into gift cards for friends for $10 each. I scheduled one more massage and rested easy knowing that I could call any time to use one of my remaining session credits. Forward to today. I'm pregnant again. I've been suffering a migraine for almost a week and the pills my doctor prescribed are barely putting a dent in the pain. I call Elements and chat about scheduling an appointment. The girl picks me out a time and therapist then informs me that my sessions are EXPIRED, and have been since 30 days after my cancellation BECAUSE I ONCE OPTED TO SUSPEND MY ACCOUNT, so would I like to pay $89 for an appointment this evening... I hate that I was misled about my remaining sessions because I never would have let several hundred dollars of massage credits expire without at least turning them into gift cards and IF ANYONE HAD TOLD ME THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS I WOULDN'T BE HAVING THIS VERY PAINFUL PROBLEM RIGHT FRICKIN NOW!!!! I will not be returning. I will not be recommending. I may be flipping the bird at these mofos everytime I drive past. EDIT FOR UPDATE: After posting this review the manager at Elements contacted me and agreed to give a gift card for the balance they previously claimed had expired. They were pretty sweet about letting me pick that up and inside the gift card was a receipt showing the total amount. Then a couple of different managers sent me several emails all titled "YELP REVIEW" mentioning my unfavorable review apologetically. Clearly they are very concerned with online reviews and though less concerned with actual performance. Glad for my gift card I will be handing it over to a relative who needs a massage at some point. Michelle and Mendi are two of my favorites, but honestly there are so many good masseuses here whose services I've enjoyed, it's hard to name them all. I'm so grateful for the ease in setting up appointments and the affordable prices. To top it off, the customer service has always been excellent! There are rewards to being a member and while Elements does incentivize it, I believe it's genuinely because they are invested in the health of their clients; there are no drawbacks and un-enrolling and freezing your account is easy. When I was once charged in error (mostly MY error), the staff quickly refunded me even though it wasn't necessary. I recommend them highly! read more

This place is awesome!!!! Bought a Groupon because I recently started running and my back was not liking it. I stand at work a lot so I was hoping the massage will help that as well. My massage therapist was Carina and she was amazing! She showed me knots in my lower back and upper back and neck that I DIDNT EVEN KNOW EXISTED. I felt so relaxed afterwards it was wonderful. I didn't think I was going to join their wellness program but after my massage and realizing I had all these muscle knots, I made the decision to join. It's only month to month so I didn't feel like it was too much of a commitment at around $60/month and you can cancel anytime. Cheaper than most massage places I've looked into. My husband and I purchased a pair of Groupons for massages at Elements Massage. From the moment we walked in, everyone was very nice and accommodating. My therapist (Sherri) was excellent and had all of the mechanical skills required of an MT. She paid special attention to the areas I requested, and the massage itself was lovely, probably one of the best I've ever had. Easily four stars! The only reason I'm withholding the fifth one is because of atmosphere. I've gone to other spas where the environment itself really makes for a great experience (lighting, music, ambiance, fragrances, etc.), but this one's just not in that league. But then again, it's less expensive than those other places so it's all about personal preference! All in all, great place, skilled therapists and nice people. read more

I think massage chains in general are the "fast food" of spa/massage services. If you're looking for massage on a regular basis, I recommend finding a chiropractic office or wellness center with massage therapists. These chains do the job if you want something same-day, quick and easy to schedule. Taniesha gave a great prenatal massage, but I called and asked about pricing for prenatal massage before I scheduled my appointment and they told me prenatal was the same price as regular massages, that they don't charge extra like some places do. Well, after my massage I was surprised with an extra charge for my massage being prenatal. When I asked, the front desk said it must have been "a new girl who doesn't know" and then said I had to pay the extra amount. I reluctantly paid, but got information to contact a manager because their customer service was horrible. Now that I am in my second trimester and massage is ok, I'm looking to get a massage once a week through my whole pregnancy, and there are too many other places that offer 60 minutes of hands on time at the same or better rate than this place, with much better customer service. read more

So the massage itself was mediocre, acceptable, fine. But overall I am SO DISAPPOINTED. Needless to say, I didn't really know what to expect because it was my first professional massage. I don't know if she was good compared to other people, or if she was doing things technically correct, because I had nothing to compare it to. So an hour and a half ish (pretty sure it was shorter than I paid for) of relaxation later, she's finished and I expect her to leave so I can get dressed again. BUT SHE DIDN'T. She sits down, while I'm still undressed on the table-by the way-and starts in on this lecture about how massage is so good for your body and circulation, yadda yadda. Fine. Give me 30 seconds of that. BUT NO. She literally gave me a freaking sales pitch of the massage packages and shit that Elements Massage offers! I was furious. I mean, I expect them to try and sell me at the checkout counter when I go to pay and leave, but to keep me undressed on the table and basically shanghai me? Even after saying I had to think about it and check pricing and all that, and getting to the point of saying I didn't think I was interested, she kept trying to sell it! So basically an hour and a half of relaxation state was gone. Down the drain. Completely ruined. I don't know if this is a normal thing. I get they have to make money and try to get customers to come back, but at least let me get dressed and then come back in the room and try to sell me. Or sell me at the counter like a normal business. I don't care if the massage was nice. Hell, it could have been amazing. Why as women should we be subjected to humiliation by a place who promotes relaxation and tranquility? Today I called to reschedule a massage appointment due to beginning menstruation on this day. I was told that since I didn't notify them 24 hours in advance they would charge me a 35 dollar "rescheduling fee". Apparently my body needs to let me know 24 hours in advance that I will have a heavy cycle!! The worst part is I had to explain this situation to their MALE manager which was very humiliating and nearly brought me to tears. I forced myself to make the appointment to avoid paying more, but even then the massage was terrible. The previous times I had gone the massages were good, but this time they put too much oil and even on my hair. The therapist was very unprofessional. Thank you Elements for ruining my day. This is one pf the best places I've had a message at. They greet you as soon as you walk in and ask if you want their infused water. When you're getting the message you can change anything you like the volume of the music, the lighting, temperature, and of course the pressure of the message. They even ask if you would like a cold or room temperature water when it's over and they recommend what you should do the days after getting the message. My therapist definitely worked out some knots that I didn't even know existed! I was really happy. My husband wasn't as thrilled. His male therapist (he was recommended because he wanted deep tissue) was talkative and awkward. He said almost as if it was weird for him to we working on another male. This baffles me... The hours of this place are definitely a plus. They are open late for after work massages. I bought a Groupon for a 50-minute massage. I've been having some neck and shoulder pain and wanted to try a deep tissue massage. When I called, the receptionist booked me a massage for a few days later and told me the name of the masseuse. After hanging up, I noticed on the website that this particular masseuse doesn't do deep tissue. I called back, and the receptionist told me rather snappily that she DOES do deep tissue, contrary to the information on the website. So I rolled with it. The massage itself was fine and was the full 50 minutes. But it turns out that the masseuse really doesn't do deep tissue. The front desk receptionist--a different one than I spoke to on the phone--was very apologetic and kind about the whole matter. But my experience with the person on the phone was definitely not professional. So, unfortunately, only three stars. If you book here, make sure you are very, VERY clear on what you want and insist they give you the right person! read more

My husband and I decided to come in for a massage. He works out of town and I have limited time to pamper myself. When we got there, the staff was very friendly and polite. The atmosphere was very nice, and the receptionist was prompt with getting us checked in. While we were filling out the form, she informed us that one of the massage therapists we had scheduled with, didn't arrive yet. She offered for us to come back another time or we could wait a few minutes. Because my husband works out of town, our availability is limited. We waited a few minutes for the massage therapist to show up. After about five minutes of waiting, no such luck. We ended up leaving and not scheduling another appointment. She called me the day after I posted this review, and was very nice and helpful about my situation! I hadn't been told when cancelling my wellness plan that unused sessions could be turned into gift cards (for a small conversion fee) that don't expire and can be used by me or anyone I want to give them to. Wish I had been told that originally when first cancelling the account! Debbie was pleasant to talk to and very customer-service oriented. She got me all taken care of and I'm much happier now knowing that those sessions don't go to waste! ------------------ I visited Elements Massage last year when I was experiencing extreme headaches due to neck and back tension. They recommended a therapist that could work on trigger points and do some deep muscle work. Taneisha was amazing and I would recommend her to anyone that needs deep tissue attention. I'd give her 5 stars, absolutely! The only reason this review is marked as 3 stars is because of how the business is conducted, especially concerning the wellness plan. When I came in for my first massage, I was given information about the wellness plan and told that if I signed up that I could get a monthly massage at a reduced cost. I went ahead and signed up for it because it seemed like a good deal. Several months later, however, I realized I didn't need/want a massage every month. In December I asked how many sessions I had left on my account, and there were at least 4. I told them that I just couldn't use up the sessions as fast as I was accruing them and that I wanted to cancel my account. I was given the option to "suspend" the account for three months, but I opted not to do this because I knew at the end of 3 months I would forget to cancel, and I'd get billed again. I asked if I could still use up all the sessions I paid for. I was informed that I would be charged an additional time (because I hadn't notified them 30 days before the next payment, which I was aware of because that was told to me in the beginning - but I think 30 days is a bit much!) and was told I had a month to use up the 4 + 1 additional one I'd be charged for. There is absolutely no way I could or would want to use up all those sessions in just one month. I'm disappointed because those 5 sessions were a complete waste of money for me. My advice to anyone looking to do business here - don't sign up for the wellness plan unless you can actually keep up with the once-a-month massage schedule. read more
