Just don't go for this. The membership is a hustle. Find someone you can pay as you go. It should be easy to cancel, and they should provide you information on what you're signing up for and what the cancellation policy is. I received neither. When I canceled because I left the area,I was still charged as they said I didn't cancel soon enough. However, when I was in the salon and did the cancellation they told me I was "All good." Called and asked about it and was basically told that's just the way it is. So again, just don't. The therapist I had was good. That's the only reason they get 2 stars. I was offered a gift card, but I'm not in the area, there is no Elements where I am currently and I knew no one to give the gift card to. It expires in 6 months. I wont' be back there that soon. Not real happy. I'll never go back. In response to Allison from Elements: You should make sure people understand the membership and provide copies. The person who "sold" me was very bubbly, distracting and didn't inform me fully. To boot, I ended up paying for a massage that I thought was covered. I have been to SO many massage therapists over the years at different places, including professional medical massages, but Josue is by far the best. I have chronic back and shoulder pain and his massages have done more for my pain than anything else I've tried. He is excellent at deep tissue/ trigger points and always finds the perfect spots that are causing pain. He is great at very deep pressure if you need it but also lighter/general relaxation type of massages. No matter what kind of massage you need, whatever pressure, he is the best and I have recommended him to everyone I know. And he is just one of the kindest people you'll ever meet and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does. Whoever's reading this, please give that man a bonus! read more

Sadly today I had to cancel my membership. This is due to a number of events from the business. It started when my FSA card ran out of benefit funds for the year. Within 24 hours of the monthly recurring charge being declined, the business went into full collections mode. 3 calls, 3 texts and two emails within a week. Astonishing to say the least. When I did call to update the card, I asked to cancel the membership. I was told, I had to do it in oerson and in writing. Lastly, after I stopped for my latest session, I asked to cancel the membership and was told they would bill me yet another monthly recurring charge before cancelling it. Not impressed at all with this experience. I highly doubt I'll re-enlist a membership as it seemed the business wanted to make it as inconvenient as it possibly could to cancel. In fact the new manager of just 6 weeks "Diana" told me to go to another location after I expressed frustration at having no female therapists available and not being able to use my monthly massages. This location has mostly men therapists and if I wanted a female therapist I would have to choose an elite or master therapist and PAY MORE! I'm guessing the same owner owns all of these franchises - at least the ones in Scottsdale. This location has been a total chaotic mess for the last 6 or so months - I've had sub-par massages and I have cxld my membership. If the owner sees this and wants to respond.... Please note that I was told by Diana that the owner does not take these kinds of calls or feedback/complaints. Well... then I guess you will hear it here from me in a review. And a response from the owner after the fact is pointless - I contacted your manager Diana to solve this issue and figure out a solution, she spoke very rude and condescending to me and her only suggestion was to go somewhere else. Had to cancel appointment because i thought I may have had Covid, was having severe symptoms but realized it was allergies. Didn't hear back after leaving a massage to cancel, called to reschedule and they asked for cc to keep on file. After I gave the cc they told me they are using my card for cancellation fees. Seems legit? I wouldn't have thought of it in any other way but the way it was done felt misleading and almost felt I was tricked into giving my cc. I had plans of buying $600 worth of services for my dad but making me feel misled was enough to cancel the idea of going back. I had a gift card for Elements Message and was told I can use it at any location nationwide. I planned a trip and booked a double message months in advance for my birthday. Came in and had a decent message. My issues was all the sudden the girls in front would not accept the gift card. I was shocked. They were super rude and said they didn't know how to process it and would not let me use it. So bizarre! So I asked to speak to manager/owner. Got a speakerphone conversation with them and insisted this is not an issue for the consumer, that this is between manager/owner and corporate. They took my gift card to hold and still made me pay. I am now waiting to see if I even get my money back. What a joke! Like if I took a Starbucks gift card to any location it would be accepted, so why not mine? It was handled poorly by the ladies at front desk. Really unnecessary attitudes and unacceptable. Left an awful taste in my mouth and will not be going back to this one or any Elements locations. Message was mediocre and not worth the headache with payment. Please send me my refund!!!!!! I will dispute with my credit card company if need be! Update! I spoke with a lovely woman Connie who runs the Scottsdale Prominade location. She expressed that she would be happy to take our gift card. And in fact all gift cards can be used at any location nationwide. She even told me how she recently processed one from Connecticut. She and I spoke for some time and she feels awful I had an experience like with the Dewayne at the Scottsdale Road location. She is also going to "upload my gift card into the national system to give me a credit to my account" that way it can be used at her location. So thanks for absolutely nothing! What a headache! And I'm so perturbed and perplexed you would put this on the consumer! Epic FAIL! ANOTHER Update! The owner Dewayne promised to send me back my gift card. He told me he was mailing it back and after weeks of waiting, it never came! I reached out and he now won't respond to my emails inquiring of my gift card he took from me! This gift card has a $200 value and he is refusing to respond as to where my gift card is! Can you believe that! I am convinced the people who manage and run this operation are deceptive and dishonest! They will say wheat the need to get you to go away or get a good review. But you would think that the customers would be better looked after in a situation out of their control such as a closing and corporate and the elements spa you run would square up the situation and not charge double now to your clientele. The only saving grace for this location are the therapists. I've been here a couple times and have had Jared as my massage therapist. He took the time to listen to my concerns and focus areas. He was nice, professional and made me feel welcomed and relaxed. Unfortunately I cannot say anything nice about the front desk staff or management. Angie, who says she's the location manager, was rude and very unprofessional. I had left a message to cancel my booked appt (I recently tested positive for covid) and requested a call back to confirm. I never received that call. I had to call the store again to confirm myself. The girl who answered said no problem and she would get it cancelled. I come to find out she's new and doesn't know what she's talking about. I received 2 calls shortly after from Angie saying they will be charging my credit card for a missed appt. Mind you, I called with ample time for them to fill my slot. I thought I was being responsible and postponing my massage for everyone's safety and piece of mind. Eventually I asked to speak to a manager as Angie was no help and extremely rude. D Wang (I think that was his name) was also rude. I tried explaining the situation as I'm sure Angie told him her own version to benefit her. After several calls back and forth with very little help from the staff, I had no other option but to drive to the store and cancel my membership all together. I will not be doing business here, ever again, and certainly will not be recommending it to anyone. When I asked for proof/record of my membership being cancelled, yet again I was given attitude. As well I asked for my massage to be put on a gift card so I could take my business elsewhere to another location. Whaddya know, they gave me a flimsy paper card that states "Valid only at location listed below" That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Why the hell would I want to go back to that location. READ FINE PRINT FOR MEMBERS PROGRAM! If you want to "pause" your monthly payment you must give them a 30 days notice because they will charge you anyways. They said and I quote, "there's nothing I can do to not charge you".... when I asked if there was anything they could do as I need the money for a RV trip #collegestudent I was just talked down too as if I didn't know what 30 days notice meant in a not so friendly tone. I just have to give a shout out to Tommy for doing such a phenomenal job! I came in the start of 2020 with major stiffness and knots in my back as I always did for years. I've been continually going for massages to several places over the years to tackle all my tight muscles especially with my shoulders and back. First impression meant everything. He did not rest from start to finish. Amazingly, the quality is the same at each visit. He just knows what muscles need to be targeted and what needs special attention. I usually go every 3 weeks or so. After the first few visits, I realized I can now tilt my head back like a normal person. It's been about half a year now. My shoulders and neck and back have definitely felt so much better and more relaxed. If you really really need deep tissue massage, Tommy is excellent at that! Thank you so much! Been here twice now. 1st was about two years ago, forget the therapist that I had back then they were good too (which shows the talent this location hires). But today, I had Amar. I have a bad chronic neck issue from the Marines that results in gnarly knots and tense muscles. Amar is the first massage therapist I've had (and I have had a lot over the years) that didn't shy away from neck issues. (I feel like a lot don't do too much with necks because I guess liability issues?) Anyways Amar was INCREDIBLE!! He bumped up the pressure to 4-5 range had my neck stretching in all the right ways while digging into my many knots. I walked away feeling like a million bucks! I never experienced such a transition from one massage! I genuinely think seeing him monthly may be the closest I'll get to a legitimately pain free life for the first time in over 10 years! First, Jarod is an amazing therapist. But that's all I can say about this location. It seems that their front desk staff feels that it is the customers job to inquire about company policies instead of informing the customer. And from the looks of the reviews regarding lack of information about their cancelation policies or ability to provide the proper cancelation policy information is an issue for this location. Their website doesn't even provide any information regarding their cancelation policy. Your front desk needs to realize that it is THEIR job to educate the customer on all policies and not expect the customer to extract the information from the staff. Also, make sure you have the proper customer information for appointment confirmations. I have been a customer of this location since they opened many years ago. I go here, and my children and my partner do as well. This location and the staff are 100% professional and offer a variety of options with their massages. I have experienced them having technical glitches with my appointments, but it always works out as Sam (the owner) is always professional, kind and a gentleman. Now, it may be because I too always try to be kind, professional and a gentleman, but after years of giving him my business, I think that's just who he is. The value they offer is outstanding. Can you get a lower priced massage elsewhere? Of course... but you won't get the consistent, caring and QUALITY that you do time after time. Sam and his staff are wonderful people. I'm not a member here, which means that my drop-in prices are on the high side for the experience, but the couple of times I have been here, I've been pleased... I tend to book massages with short notice if and when my schedule allows. Both of my visits to this Elements Massage studio were with less than 24 hour notice, and my most recent visit was with less than a couple of hours notice. Whether luck or not, I was just happy that they could accommodate me! I've had a 60 minute and a 90 minute massage here, both with male therapists, and both with medium pressure. Both times, I found the therapists professional, and I walked out with less tension in my body than when I walked in. Neither one was the best massage I've ever had in my life, but they were far from the worst! Be prepared, there will always be the pressure / ask to become a member when you check-out, but not in a super pushy way... and also, note: this is not a "spa" experience... it's similar to a Massage Envy, which is A-OK in my book, but again, will not compare to the pampering feeling of a day spa or resort spa! Just had a massage with Senia, the lead massage therapist. I asked her to focus on a few key areas, and she clarified to ask how much time to focus there. This was key, because it gave the opportunity to truly tailor the massage to my needs. Then she proceeded to give one of the best massages I've ever had - and I'm a tough critic. She knows exactly how to hit particular areas, and consistently checks in on pressure to make sure you're happy. This was better than massages at fancy spas that cost 3x the price. Best massages I've ever gotten, however the only thing is that they're a little pricey. Right after my first massage, I walked out of this place with a monthly membership which is $69 a month for one massage (you put your card on file for auto pay). Otherwise I believe it's $99 per month for one massage without the membership. It is quite expensive but it's worth the investment if you have a lot of body pain and find an effective masseuse. Now let's talk about my 90 min massage by Ashley. I have been battling a lot of shoulder pain for a few years now due to being a side sleeper. She took the time in the beginning of our session to understand any areas of focus you'd like her to spend more time on. She was able to get out all the knots in my shoulder area, and used the right amount of pressure. The massage relieved a lot of pain and tension in my shoulder blades, and I came out feeling brand new. I then started seeing Bernard. He went even deeper into what I thought were my already relieved knots, and got out ones I didn't even know I had. I DIDNOT cancel, but I was told by the manager who lacks customer service that" I'm not gonna make my therapist lose money because you have a preference and the 45 dollar cancellation will be charged". she refused to send me the cancellation policy nor the own contact informations. it's shameful that such a small business didn't care about accommodatbig their new client. they could not honor my request or rescheduled my appointment. read more

Every time i walk in here to get a massage I come out feeling relieved and glad I chose this place to get my massages. The masseuses are trained very well and know how to give you the perfect massage. I've gotten massages from two people here Deana and Samantha and they both were spectacular. They both make sure you are truly satisfied. They also have heated tables so it's perfect to relax on while getting the massages. It's perfect for couples as well because they have the couples massage room where you could get massages laying next to each other. read more

I saw such great reviews on Yelp, I thought this may be my new spot for massages. However, it fell quite short and made my 90 minutes last waaaay too long. I'm already a member with Elements, but loved and looking for my next location/therapist. Not looking to bash this person, but it is important for management to hopefully hear. The good: people upfront were overly nice! Very customer centric and was a pleasant beginning to the session. Point for that! Also, the therapist I had was an obvious pro, strong hands, and had a desire to deliver a good experience. The bad: I've never experience a therapist sit down as much as mine did. To be fair this wasn't entirely bad, but felt that there was more bed adjustments, chair adjustment focus than on the client. If you smoke and eat prior to being in such close contact, you have to be aware of how that might impact the client. The combination of seated position and what seemed like 20+ minutes of neck massage, plus the smoking/food breath was literally driving me to get up and leave. It just couldn't end soon enough. To top it off, most people know about tipping, and I've never had a therapist tell me that I should about tipping and encourage to leave the tip in the room. But I get it and likely this wouldn't have been as annoying if the massage would have met my expectations. Please use this to provide feedback to your therapists so you can continue to rack up better reviews. read more
