Melissa who did my sons cleaning made him feel so comfortable and was just the sweetest person, absolutely adore her! Thank god for the tv screens above them!! Melissa explained everything she was going to do and showed my son all the tools and was just very patient. Made sure he was okay every so often. I can't say enough great things about this office. Everyone is warm and welcoming - they took such great care of my two year old on his first dentist appointment. The office is clean and really caters towards children. Took my 2 year old to the dentist for the first time and we couldn't have had a better experience. My daughter had a great time. The TV helped relax my daughter and she was able to do everything that was asked of her (ex. opening her mouth). The office was clean with lots of activities for kids while waiting to be called in (which was only about 5 minutes). The staff was amazing! I was referred to this dentist by my primary dental office in Calabasas (Dori Dental Arts - amazing!). My wife booked an appointment to have our 3yo son examined for possible decay. As we had previously gotten a treatment at this office before, this should have just been a quick 3-5 min visual inspection to determine if a certain procedure (filling) would be due or not. We arrived 10 mins late as our son was not feeling well (not sick, just cranky, crying, horrible mood). Larissa and the other lady at the front desk was prompt to turn as away, and despite requests to be seen by the doctor for only 5 mins (still plenty of time left in our 30 min window), she was brash and rude in turning us away without any further consideration, despite my wife coming back and asking to be seen. I'm a tech executive and travel frequently. These appointments are few and far in between at this office. We both felt they could have been more accommodating, and if not at least should have called us at the top of the house to advise us re: the need to re-schedule if we are past a certain time window. I'm giving 2 starts for the office cleanliness and location. As far as basic patient management and customer service, they get a 0! read more

Dr. Rumack is one of a kind! She is caring, prompt, and really has empathy for her patients and parents. I was referred to her for my daughter's lip and tongue tie as a newborn. I wish that every mother knew about her because she fixed both issues with a quick laser (painless) in minutes! My daughter was immediately able to breastfeed easily and her latch improved right away. Without Dr. Rumack's laser procedure, I don't know what I would have done. I was referred to Dr. Rumack by my lactation consultant for my two week old son's tongue tie. He had already had it revised twice, once at birth in the hospital, and once a week later at an ENTs office. Dr. Rumack was able to revise his tongue tie perfectly, provided detailed instructions for healing, as well as two follow up appointments. The office was clean, safe, and bright and the front office was very helpful with billing/insurance questions. I only wish I had gone to Dr. Rumack sooner to get the tongue tie revised right away the first time and wish I had known about her approach. We contacted Dr. Rumack about getting another revision done on my 9 week old son after his original revision reattached. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful through the entire process. She made sure I was comfortable and knew exactly how to care for his wound post op. In just the week post procedure, we have noticed a significant difference in the stiffness as well as agitation my son was suffering. He is much less stressed it seems, and a much happier baby. We came to Dr. Rumack after being referred to her by our lactation consultant about our daughter's lip and tongue ties! Our daughter is only 2 months old and was having difficulty breastfeeding/latching. From the moment we walked into the office we were greeted warmly by the staff as well as they have taken great precautions during COVID times. We had our own little private room that was very nice and made us feel comfortable to be there. Dr. Rumack was able to assess our daughter to confirm to us that she had a lip & tongue ties! She explained to us the procedure to release the ties thoroughly and answer all the questions my husband and I had. She does the procedure with a laser. Being that our daughter is only 2 months old we were very anxious and nervous for her to get this done. But Dr. Rumack put us at ease. Within 5 mins the Procedure was done and was very successful. Our daughter handled it like a champ! (Sure a few tears were shed but she did great!) after the procedure Dr. Rumack showed us what she did and explained everything she did. She also gave us & demonstrated exercises we needed to do to help with the healing process. We had to come back in a week to see if our daughter was healing well which she was and we already noticed the big difference the tie release had with our daughter. Day 1 after the procedure our daughter was already feeding/latching better. After her 2 week post op check up everything has healed perfectly and baby was doing so much better overall. Dr. Rumack performed lip tie procedure for my newborn baby girl. That little flap of skin between your upper lip and your gums at the top can cause a lot of trouble if it's too short. A gap between your front upper teeth being one of them. Luckily our pediatrician noticed it and send us to Dr. Rumack to take care of it. My daughter (Alexis) and son (Jonah) have been seeing Dr. Rumack for almost 10 years. My son's first dental experience (with another pediatric dentist) was awfully traumatic and friends sent me to Dr. Rumack, saying she was the best. I was worried that Jonah was already damaged from his previous dental drama, but he was immediately calmed by Dr. Rumack's soft nature. Soon after seeing Dr. Rumack for the first time, my (then) toddler daughter, Alexis, hit her mouth on a chair, tore her labial frenulum (the gums that attach the upper lip to the mouth) and damaged her brand new baby teeth. She needed immediate dental care. I called Dr. Rumack's office, and although they were closed, they told me to rush her in. Dr. Rumack could not have been more reassuring and calm - my daughter was immediately a fan. In the years that we've gone to Dr. Rumack, my children have had several procedures including gum surgery, and they still never hesitate when I mention that they have a dentist appointment. They love Elena, and her entire staff is as special as she is. The hygienists and office staff know all their patients names and make them feel loved from the moment they walk in the office door. It was a long road to get here but Dr. Rumack is incredible. I worked with 3 lactation consultants, 2 pediatricians and 1 ENT prior to seeing Dr. Rumack. She was the first person to really hear me and take me seriously. My son had a class iv posterior tongue tie. He was 11 months when we had the procedure done, it was very quick. It was same day as our consultation. He latched immediately after the procedure and it was pain free for the first time. The follow ups were thorough, but still quick. The exercises, while he may have been unhappy did not hurt. I was able to the exercise while he slept peacefully. I had instant relief after 11 months of painful breastfeeding. That by itself was life changing, but even more so after 11 months of slow weight gain and some trouble with solids due to the tongue restrictions. My son sleeps deeper now. He is able to eat solids, his tongue has much more function. I wish we had been referred to Dr. Rumack on day 1, but I am so thankful that we did it at 11 months. He is now 13 months. I am so grateful that we did this, especially when considering that tongue ties can be a root cause for behavioral and speech issues later on. read more

My daughter had a severe tongue and lip tie, in addition to a buccal tie. As a first-time mom, I was trying to navigate her feeding difficulties and next steps to improve her latch, etc. I am so happy that we were referred to Dr. Rumack! She fit us in the day after we called for an appointment since it is so important that newborns get the procedure done as soon as possible. She was very professional and personable. She did a thorough check of our daughter's mouth and showed us her ties. She explained the benefits of getting her released and answered all of our questions.
