    Jumbo Eggrolls (Chicken)
    Eddy H.

Found this place driving around Maplewood and wanted asian food. Its in a strip mall but looks clean and has great service! The food was pretty good as well. I ordered: Cream Cheese Wontons - 10/10 (One word.....AMAZING!) Shrimp and Chicken Spring Rolls - 9.5/10 (Huge & flavorful) Chicken Jumbo Eggrolls - 9.2/10 (2nd Best eggrolls Ive had) Tom Yum Soup - 8/10 (Good flavor and perfect spice level) Honey Walnut Shrimp - 8/10 (Flavor is amazing with thick batter! Ratio of batter to shrimp is too much though! Chicken Lo Mein - 8.8/10 Pampa Fried Fish - 9/10 (You get a huge side of veggies and noodles, which I didnt eat because I was so full so I only ate the fish itself! It was delicious)

Good and fast service. I got the pork belly larb mild and sticky rice. Sticky rice was perfect. The pork belly was a bit dry.

This was our first time and we were excited to try this restaurant! The atmosphere had a positive vibe and the decor felt like you had stepped into a forest filled with wildlife and elephants! Super cute! We had ordered the egg rolls for appetizers. It was crispy and quite delicious. The fish sauce dip was just perfect! We had the chicken fried rice and it was very flavorful. I love the wok smell of a good fried rice dish - yum! We tried the papaya salad (Lao style) and it had a strong spicy kick for a medium spice level! The combination flavors of sweet, tangy and spicy was perfect. We tried the chicken pad Thai. The fish sauce flavor was a little too pungent for my liking, but it was alright. It was not the typical pad Thai I am used to, but it was good. The last entree we tried was the beef laab with sticky rice. Wow! Be careful when you ask for a medium spice level - it was extremely spicy! The flavor was absolutely amazing and so delicious! We couldn't handle the spiciness and asked if we could have another one made less spicy. They were very accommodating (and quick) and was able to make us another one. What excellent customer service!! We were very grateful. The service was friendly and our food was brought out very quickly despite the place being quite busy. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant and would be back! Quick Tips: - this isn't your typical Thai restaurant and the flavor may be a bit unique and different. - spicy level is much spicier than you think! Take caution!

They mostly have booths and a three of tables set up for larger parties for seating but everything felt spaced nicely. I enjoyed my food flavors and they were Thai spice levels so the medium was spicy. Wait staff was pleasant and attentive without being too interrupting of our meal. One sister did have to ask for another set of chopsticks because the set she was given was really uneven but other than that I'd eat here again. Food came out pretty quickly for how busy they got. They have ample parking being at the end of the shopping strip.

Really adorably decorated restaurant--my favorite part was the ceiling. The service was friendly and several different servers came to check on us. The food was fresh, hot and pretty tasty. The spice level was great for spice lovers. I had the steak laab, which was tender, nicely sour, savory and spicy.

First time here. The staff is friendly and the service is good. The food is good, but the boat noodles came out lukewarm.

1715 Beam Avenue USED to home Bambu Asian Cuisine...now it is Elephant Thai Cuisine. The menu and decor has changed, but good Asian dishes remain. Good service from Lala, especially since we didn't know our way around their menu. The Thai Boat Noodles were delicious in their broth (it was worth it just to try it!).

It also came with perfectly done scrambled eggs and toast. I got a unique latte as well; I asked the barista for her favorite and wound up with a raspberry & dark chocolate latte that had a surprising shock of bitterness. It was great. You will probably really like the ambience. It appears to have been built out of a lovely Victorian home in Dayton's Bluff, and there is plenty of upstairs seating including cute tables on the landings. There is also a very green patio. Friendly service tops it all off nicely. Their only not-open day is Tuesday, so bear that in mind. There is neighborhood street parking which you may have to hunt around a bit for. I really think you'll enjoy hanging out here!

However, it turns out the roll is just an easy way to get the frosting in your face. Omg. Delicious, buttery amazing frosting. (Which they did frost at the time of purchase). The place is small but they have an upstairs as well as a nice garden patios.

The cheesecake was pretty solid, and the cortado was decent as well but nothing special. My husband ordered the raspberry chocolate cake and enjoyed it, although we both felt it was a bit too sweet because of the fudge layer, which was a little overwhelming for our taste. The café itself is spacious and made for a nice spot to sit, relax, and enjoy dessert for a while. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would definitely come back to try more of their delicious treats.

The Hmong Village is a huge Warehouse full of textiles and trinkets and amazing Goods that are generally Vietnamese but also from all parts of the world. The sad thing is that people on Yelp haven't really made a dent into these yet as I came here and noticed that probably only three or four of the 30 or 40 food places in this massive Market have even been put on Yelp yet. I've now put them all on Yelp and will be working my way through them each time I visit Saint Paul until I have put up pix of various dishes at each one. All perfect. All old world. Our favorite very old deli in West Palm Beach was sold 1.5 years ago and gone gone gone are the DELIGHTFUL happy charming old staff and the perfect old world flavors, cooking. In Sarasota where we just lived the last 5 years, a new deli closed after just 2 years, and there is nothing left. We've been visiting family in Sarasota every year for 40 years. Gone too in the Twin Ciries is the ownership by brothers Scot and Stu of Hopkin's beloved Crossroads Deli just last year. The new owners, a corporation owning 6-8 other restaurants have CHANGED almost all the recipes for breads, cakes , wonderous cookies and 80 % of all pastries! No more butter, no more fine ingredients and no more of their once " Grossinger's taste/quality" STELLAR seeded rye bread! They even eliminated the lemon flavoring. In their incomparable lemon coconut cake! Their stuffed cabbage is one of their only true deli dishes left. Sandwiches are half their original size...... heart breaking after going there 3-4 times a week for 25 years........ Cecil's of course had to cut back on the $$ use of butter in their pastries. But they have WORKED VERY HARD to still retain their wonderous long long ago heart warming flavors. ALL their sandwiches are AUTHENTIC. Old world New York City flavors! Made with care and love. My husband loves their beautiful generous Nova salmon platte. Noshing away happily! I love their pastrami Rachel's with plentiful half sour pickles lots of Russian dressing and creamy Cole slaw. Mmmmmm. I hope and pray Cecil's owner refrains for a long long time from selling his rare business. We must support Cecil's too.... Or lose it with all the others, and lose part of our joy and heart. And towards the end I had asked for a to-go box and wasn't brought one, until another server asked if we wanted the check and I had to ask again for a to-go box.
