We got takeout on a Thursday night. Food 2/5. The curry fried rice was super dry, the rice overcooked and did not taste right. Thr cream cheese wontons were over fried and not yet burnt, but oil soaked. The potstickers also felt overcooked. The positive to this mean was that pad Thai! Very flavorful! We had dinner at Jasmine Thai when we were visiting family in Minnesota. Their cuisine is fabulous! Our dinner was two weeks ago on a very busy Saturday evening. They were extremely busy with takeout orders as well as having a full restaurant. Yet, we had excellent service and our food was fantastic! There were five in our group and four of us ordered curries and one ordered Pad Thai. I had the Panang curry with veggies and it was absolutely delicious! Seasoned perfectly and very tasty indeed! I highly recommend Jasmine Thai. They offer wide selection on their menu and all are prepared with fresh ingredients and seasoned on a scale of one to five for spiciness. The green curry had a perfect balance of sweet and spicy; portion sizes allowed for a meal the next day. The chicken satay sauces are to die for. The cucumber one was an unexpectedly PLEASANT surprise. The fried rice was perfectly salted with a good ratio of protein/vegetables. I can only imagine how it would be hot from the kitchen. I hope to experience that one day soon! The chicken is fried hard if you're into that and the green sauce is light and sweet in contrast to the fried chicken. The papaya salad was good, but needed some spice. There was no option to add a spice level in the app and I did not add an extra note about that. I would say my least favorite was the Tom yum po tak but I am super picky about that. The broth was flavorful but it was just lacking that extra something for me. I am a huge fan of Roat Oshas Tom yum if you've had that and this was not close. Still very good, don't get me wrong! I got 3 large shrimp in the small sized soup w chicken and shrimp $1 add on. The shrimp were really big so wasn't mad at only 3. I was a bit annoyed that there were pieces of galangal, lemongrass and basil stems to pick out. St least you can tell they used the real stuff lol. I also got sticky rice to tie it all together. I feel like I got a decent value for my money even after the inflated Grubhub fees and whatnot. However, I returned a week or two later for takeout and the food just didn't quite have the same taste. Like many restaurants, I don't think you can count on quality control/ consistency here, and that can make or break your experience with the food. Second, I was a bit disappointed that the parking lot and inside decor was a outdated/unkept. I'm big on atmosphere and I didn't get the best experience for that here. We love Jamine Thai! We have been coming to this location since it was Karta Thai, and since the ownership and name change they really have not missed a beat. Some of our favorites are Tom Yum soup, green or red curry, any of the noodle dishes, and we just tried the Tod Gra Tiam Pring Tai stir fry. It's basically the Thai version of Chinese beef and broccoli, but Soooo full of flavor! We got ours with pork. We also tried the more complex flavored Tom Yum Po Tak and we loved it! What we love also is that they have their own parking, which is actually a deciding factor for us when considering Asian fare around NE, where you pretty much have to go to Dinkytown and fight the crowds and parking. Ordered takeout through their website on a lazy Sunday. The Crispy Thai Lobster Rolls were 10/10! The Red & Massamam Curries were decent. Although I found them a bit watery, and there was no spice at all... ordering online it wasn't clear if it there was a way to request it. Rice was perfectly cooked and fluffy! The Creamy Iced Tea & Thai Iced Coffees were certainly creamy and delicious! I will probably give this place another try, but actually sit in the restaurant! The Thai fried rice has the best tasting tomato slices, onion and carrots. Get your meal with shrimp and you won't be disappointed. Very juicy and flavorful. You can also get the rice spicy, spice level out of 5. I usually get a level 3 and that is hot enough to still appreciate the flavor. We live less than a mile from this restaurant - we wanted to love it! I will say we liked it...for the price, we expected more. We got three different things. They were pretty tasty overall but very luke warm and the egg rolls were cold and seemed to be sitting out for a while which we were not expecting. The cashew stir fry was mostly veggies undercooked and with tough pork. We even arrived before the estimated ready time. We moved into the neighborhood in the Summer of 2020 and that's when my love of Jasmine Thai began. Their masamman curry is bomb.com (I have never used that phrase before in my life). Cashew stir fry is my other fave - the veggies are so fresh and the sauce is tasty and not spicy. They always get my orders right with no onions. I tried the Tom Kha Soup for the first time the other day and the broth was perfect, I loved it even though it had a teeny bit of spice! It's less creamy than others I've had but super savory and hearty. The veggie apps is the only area they could use improvement. The fried tofu is good but the tempura was poor and the spring rolls were nothing special. Staff is always friendly and orders come out super fast. read more

Recently redecorated and upgraded, this is the best meal out I've had in a while. We were pleasantly surprised by their new sushi menu - so great! We had the Fuji and Dragon rolls... so delicious. The Fuji roll had the most tender beautiful salmon, tuna, and yellowtail piled on top. Of course, I never miss their lobster roll appetizer, and the fried banana dessert rounded out the meal and added creamy and crispy textures that had us coming back for another bite. Service was kinda funny. The server was literally running from the tables to the kitchen then to the outside tables, to the bar, to the cash register , to servicing the many many takeout delivery people, and so on. We didn't get any usual service by the server, at all, other than seating us, taking our order, bringing our food and drinks, and running our credit card. Worst Dining Experience Ever, Food Doesn't Make up for it. I was hoping to try this place because I live very close and was looking for a good spot to frequent. Came in and got seated somewhat quickly after they cleared a table, but then once I was sat no one came to greet me for at least 20 minutes. When I finally got my order in they didn't bring me utensils when my food came out, and then when they did come back they gave me silverware but no chopsticks? I asked for soy sauce and they gave me Togo packets without a dish to put it in. So I emptied it all over my plate since I had no idea where tf the server was. Sushi came out and I had to ask for chopsticks because they only gave me a fork and I couldn't pick up my rolls by stabbing them. Good was mid at best. The veggie tempura tasted a lot heavier than anywhere else I get it, and the sauce had the taste of something from a large commercial mix. Idk I won't be back. It wasn't even very affordable. $5 for a miso soup that was alright but not special at all. I haven't actually had an experience that bad in a long time. I also used to be a server / restaurant manager so I'm pretty forgiving but I left this place feeling regretful I ever came in or spent money there. I placed an order through DoorDash at 7:30pm. My 45 min order turned out to be nearly 2 hours. I didn't get the food until 9:30pm (the restaurant closes at 9pm). I ordered the Shrimp Spring Rolls, the Pork Egg Rolls, and the Som Tum. The best thing was the Shrimp Spring Rolls (because it would be very hard to screw that up). The Egg Rolls were chewy & uncooked. The wrapping on the outside looked crispy but once I bit into it, the wrapping on the inside wasnt cooked all the way through (so I'm pretty sure they rushed to cook it). Also, the sauce it came with was overly salty. The Som Tum was mediocre. I requested for it to be spicy. It was not. Also, they didnt provide any napkins or eating utensils.
