I'm glad I didn't spend part of my life savings on a new roof from this company. What if I have problems after the work is done and I can't get anyone to call me back? Oh well, there are a lot of roofing companies on Oahu who want my business. I'll just just move on.

That crew did finally install my french doors, but after delays and more excuses than I care to note, I decided to cut them loose and find someone else to build my deck. I searched Yelp and found Kekoa Builders on Sunday, and based on all the positive Yelp reviews, I decided to call and leave a message, but Kekoa answered the phone AND he stopped by my home the same day to take a look at my project details - on a SUNDAY! It is now TUESDAY, 2 days later, and my beautiful Trex deck is finished. I already had all the materials so that was helpful for a quick build. Kekoa's communication was great and he and his crew showed up when promised and worked until the job was done. They were respectful of my property and the pricing was reasonable, especially given the high quality of this work. I am in the construction industry and let me tell you - these guys are the best! They worked together well as a team, you can tell they enjoy working together. They are onsite problem solvers. One example is that they had to carefully trim the Trex deck board due to wonky uneven dimensions where it meets the french doors threshold and they finished it off beautifully! And - did you notice my recessed umbrella holder in the photos? It is SO custom. They knocked this deck out in one day, cleaned up the site of debris and were so wonderful to work with. This was phase 1 and I am planning an additional deck and connecting boardwalk later this year. Kekoa Builders will be the only crew I ask to complete my project. Nick came to my home to give me an estimate for a new roof. He emailed me a couple of estimates, and he even followed up with me after I took my time to review the bids, to see if I had any questions. After I informed him that I was going with another contractor, he texted me back to thank me for the opportunity to provide me a bid, and said if I have any Roofing needs in the future, to feel free to reach out to them in the future.
