I asked Yelp for a recommendation and Oahu Windows and Doors contacted me very quickly. They said they would send Nick, "our repair guy," out to take a look and give me an estimate on a repair. Nick arrived exactly at the appointed time, took a quick look (and listen) at my door and diagnosed the problem in a minute or two. Then, since the problem was a seal on the door, asked me if I simply wanted him to remove the seal to stop the sound, and gave me the pros and cons of doing so. I said yes and he removed the seal and put things back together. He gave me some tips on what to use to lubricate the door, as well as--if I ever wanted to replace the door--what I should look for and how to save money. Installation had a few hiccups because our house is old, weird, and probably very hard to work with, but we're very happy with our system. All the kinks that the team had to work through were fixed/solved in a very timely and quality manner. The only problem we had was getting updates between signing our agreement and installation. Understandably we waited pretty long to hear anything about installation due to the overload all solar companies were experiencing due to the federal tax credit being cut next year. Our drawings were back logged, not because of HI Power, but because of the approvals they were waiting for. But I had to reach out to multiple people at multiple times before someone could explain this to me. This really stressed us out for a bit that no one was getting back to us, but once they explained all the issues they were facing, everything worked out perfectly. I would still like to recommend this company compared to other bigger companies based off of my parent's and grandparent's experiences.
