Dr. Melnick is the best dentist I have ever experienced. After several traumatizing experiences, I refused to go to the dentist all together, as a result me teeth started to deteriorate right before my eyes. Finally I took a chance and a made an appointment. The staff was very nice and helpful. Denise the assistant is very nice and friendly. I was so embarrassed by the state of my teeth but the two of them made me feel very comfortable. I went in for a consultation about my wisdom teeth that are hurting me. I was able to complete my registration forms online before the appointment, which saved time. The office tracked down a previous x Ray I had at a different office, which was very helpful. The doctor did a great job explaining and reviewing the x Ray with me and answering any questions I had. I would like to add my positive experience over the last 18 months since hearing about Dr Melnick. I had not seen a dentist in years and my dental issues were not the best, partly due to my fault with not caring for them in my past years... the last straw was when I had 1 of my molar's crack on the side.. The pain was incredible and I had to find help fast. Thank goodness I ended up at Dr Melnicks office, he is the real deal and reassured me in an honest and calm way that my chipped molar could be worked on, saved and crowned if things were not to bad.... and also that my other dental hygiene gum issues could be delt with... I am happy to say that things are going better for me in my overall dental heath and I can honesty say Dr Melnick with his honest good advice and personal professional care has helped me greatly... BRILLIANT Dentist! Professional and PAIN FREE!. So let me start by saying I had not seen the dentist in 5 years due to the fact that I have problems getting numb, but if that was not enough, the last experience at my previous dentist was the final straw for me, I had such a hard time getting numb that they gave me so much local anesthesia that the entire right side of my face went numb for like one hour, I was so afraid! Fast forward to Elevate Dental and Dr. Safaei and his team... My wife has been going to see Dr. Safaei for a while so I decided to pluck up the courage and get it over with. I needed 2 fillings and Dr. Safaei PAINLESSLY and professionally completed the procedure within 30 mins. He showed me the before and after, and how well it is sealed, and how great it looks. Dr. Melnick is a very talented dentist. I happen to have teeth that were too small for the space. I was very concerned about making sure I didn't have a fake Hollywood smile. Where some dentists would have insisted on doing Veeners, in my particular case, to get the natural look I wanted, Dr. Melnick worked magic and free-handed the artistry. My grandfather was a surgeon during the Depression Era and believed in putting his patients first and meeting every need of theirs. Dr. Melnick shares those same traits and characteristics. He practices denistry the way it should be done. He stays abreast of all the medical technologies and refers you to the appropriate specialists if warranted. He only associates his practice with those on par with his uncompromising ethics. On one occasion, I went to Dr. Melnick thinking I had a dental issue as I was in incruciating pain. Because of Dr. Melnick's unparalleled expertise, he was able to make the determination that it was a sinus infection causing my dental discomfort. Where will I go when the day comes and this exceptional dentist retires? It will be a tremendous loss to his patients and all that know him! I started going to Dr. Safaei in July 2017 as I was a legacy patient from Dr. Melnick. I found Dr. Safaei to be very personable, honest and extremely knowledgeable. After examining my teeth, he indicated a few areas where we could make improvements. One area which I, being ignorant of, was bonding a gap in my front teeth. Oddly, I've had this "issue" as far back as I can remember, but none of my previous dentists ever said they could fix it or even brought up ways to improve it. I just took it for granted that it was something that couldn't be fixed. Dr. Safaei indicated he could fix it by a bonding procedure, which was both inexpensive and amazingly effective - sounds too good to be true right, but it's the truth. I couldn't believe how good it looks now, as a matter of fact, I couldn't recall for a few seconds where the gap was when I first examined the bonding - after 20+ years of having the gap. Weird, but true! I'm very happy with my new "teeth" and no longer have the odd gap I had which made me self conscious when I smiled. Dr. Safaei rocks! read more

If your looking for a dentist, you have come to the right place. Dr. Melnick is by far the best dentist. I wanted to improve my smile by placing veneering my teeth. He actually advised me not to, stated my smile was great, teeth and gums are healthy, stated I should just whiten and keep up with my hygiene. I was shocked. Other dentists in the past were always trying to do as much dentistry as they could. Dr. Melnick explained to me, doing treatment on teeth that are perfectly healthy would not be good, anytime you do treatment, teeth go through trauma. Dr. Melnick stated, he only strives to do exceptional work and to only do dentistry that is necessary. Just hearing this was a breath of fresh air. I have been a patient of Dr. Melnick's for as long as he has been in practice in the Encino office and I would never consider going to another dentist. Prior to choosing Dr. Melnick as my dentist I had plenty of dental work done by other dentists, with many large amalgam fillings and several crowns that were poorly done and did not last very long. Over the years, Dr. Melnick gradually replaced those fillings with white ones and also replaced the crowns - but only when necessary - he does not ever suggest to have unnecessary work done or try to sell you procedures that you don't need. Some of those crowns have lasted over 26 years and never caused me any problems or discomfort. Dr. Melnick has restored my teeth and given me a smile I can be proud of. Even strangers often comment on my lovely smile. He is the ultimate professional, a perfectionist that takes great pride in doing excellent work and providing his patients with the best dental care available.
