I take away one star for the reasons below. There is only one bathroom for 20 to 30 kids, which means a lot of waiting to wash hands. Also, while they charge $12 a day for lunch (which is quite steep for kids lunch), there is almost fried food daily with little to no fruits or veggies daily and most days there is no drink included. Friday lunch is 2 slices of papa John pizza and a capri sun for $12. Finally, the front desk staff is not friendly at all. No one greets you when you drop off or pick up your kids. If you ask a question, you get a one word response. I must say it's the most unfriendly staff I have encountered for a kids summer camp or kids activity.

Another thing we love is the sense of community. We've formed meaningful friendships with other families and have felt welcomed and supported from the beginning. It feels like a place where both children and parents can connect and belong. I really do not understand the negative yelp reviews, it's important for parents to do their own research and ask questions. Our experience has been that the school takes children's well-being seriously and is thoughtful in balancing safety with opportunities for exploration, independence, and outdoor learning. We have always felt comfortable entrusting our children to their care. We are incredibly grateful to be part of this community. It was such a simple gesture, but no other school had done that. It immediately showed me how much they value and respect children. What made it even more meaningful is that months later, when we came back for the open house, they remembered her. That personal connection meant so much to me. Although the preschool is located on church grounds, we've found the environment to be welcoming and inclusive. Faith is present in an age-appropriate way, but we've never felt like religion was being pushed or that it overshadowed the school's focus on nurturing, learning and supporting my children. My two kids have completely different personalities, and what has impressed me most is how their teachers have always met each of them exactly where they were. They don't expect every child to fit the same mold - they take the time to understand each child as an individual and because of that both of my kids have thrived in their own unique ways. The small class sizes create a warm, close-knit environment, and the play-based curriculum encourages curiosity, confidence, creativity, and a genuine love of learning. The campus is also beautiful, with lush outdoor spaces that make it a special place for children to explore and grow. The teachers are thoughtful and responsive via the brightwheel app sending consistent communication regarding allergies or any incidents as well as picture updates. The director is also very approachable, involved and genuinely invested in both the children and their families. One of the biggest compliments i can give this school is that i truly feel at ease leaving my children in their care. As a parent, that doesn't come easily to me, but I've always known they were safe, loved, and in the hands of people who genuinely care about their well-being. We're so thankful to be part of this community. Watching one child graduate while knowing our younger one still gets to experience all this makes us feel incredibly lucky.

He loved the variety of activities and made so many new friends. He came home with fun stories each day. I loved that they offered a variety of options from 2 days/week to 5 days. We returned last summer and an unexpected and sudden medical event threw our summer for a loop. They were beyond kind and accommodating. Michael, the owner, personally made sure we were taken care of at a very scary time and was just incredibly kind and communicative. I can't thank him and his staff enough for the support. I would recommend this camp for any family. Its like a classic, old-school summer day camp experience!

My son attended Adventurewood camp for the first time this week. For the most part he enjoyed…read morehimself -- particularly the characters they introduce throughout the week. However, we decided to pull him out for next week because of a very disturbing situation. He shared that a counselor had pushed him with both hands on his shoulders during a capture the flag activity. He had dropped his flag and was putting it back on when a counselor (he didn't know her name) pushed him back hard enough to make him lose his balance and fall. She also barked "you need to reset!" She didn't ask if he was ok or help him up. You'd think if this was an accidental push and he fell over she would say something like "sorry bud are you ok? Here let me help you up" but nope, not a word. A friend he's attending camp with witnessed the whole incident. Since I pick them both up in the afternoons they both recounted this situation to me and both of them noted how inappropriate her behavior was. I immediately reached out to Michael, the owner of the camp. He said he wanted to identify this counselor and get her side of the story. Understandable. My son felt uncomfortable going back the next day but I reassured him it would be handled and offered to drop him off in the morning and stick around to talk to Michael and the counselor. I wanted him to feel safe. Michael identified her (her name is Carson) and said he wanted to talk to her first, which he did a few feet away from me. I heard her say she didn't push him. They then walked over to me and she again denied everything. So we asked both kids to come over and recount what happened. They both did -- in front of her -- and reiterated she pushed him. She denied even touching him. So Michael suggests at this point that perhaps it was an accident and my son responds by saying "how do you push someone like that by accident?!" No response. So I ask her, are you saying these kids are lying? She again said she didn't touch him and at this point we send the kids away. I'm incensed because not only does she gaslight both of them to their face but tells this bold faced lie to her boss in front of the campers and me. I tell her I believe them and I think she's the one lying. At this point she gives me this dirty look - angry, irritated and almost rolls her eyes at me. I turn to Michael and say "and now she's giving ME an attitude?!" Unbelievable. In a follow up call, he tells me how good of a person she is and that this is shocking for him to hear but that she doesn't seem like someone who would do something like this...that she's getting her teacher credentials and he knows her really well. I am getting the vibe he doesn't actually believe any of this and he sounds very skeptical. I respond by telling him that it's almost always surprising when people exhibit bad behavior and that even teachers do bad things...that doesn't make her any more credible in my eyes. He acknowledged that. In fact, it's worse because I would be really concerned to have someone like that teaching a kid. Lack of empathy, accountability, and integrity. I mean, I think it's great he's trying to have her back but there are moments in life when you need to draw a line and act swiftly...these are one of those moments. Because ultimately, this impacts the reputation of your camp. I told him that it would be good to offer training to his staff in case this ever happens again in the future and honestly he sounded baffled and asked me to clarify...I said well maybe tell your staff not to give dirty looks to a mom who's clearly upset that her son just got pushed by a grown adult at summer camp?? I told him that the response to this situation could've resulted in a totally different outcome. Had she said something like "I really don't recall pushing you but if I inadvertently did and made you feel bad I'm sorry - I didn't mean to do that" - I would've went home that morning feeling fine about the situation. When I told him this he said that he's not going to police all her reactions, that she's still young, that she's still learning and made all kinds of excuses for her. Exhausting. Apparently she got a "warning" and will sit out of the flag activity (umm, ok...). He seems like a smart guy and wish him nothing but success in the future and I was earnestly trying to offer advice for how to handle a situation like this better but it fell on deaf ears. I really hope that some kind of learning comes out of this for both of them. Oh and to top it off, my son's friend told her mom that Carson was giving her looks several times throughout the day today and when she asked what kind she said "side eye" looks. NOT COOL. My son also said she was kind of mean to him but wondering why they were even in close proximity when Michael said they'd absolutely be separated and would not see each other? Validates we both made the right choice by pulling them both out. He offered a refund but I'm still pissed about the situation.

We were afraid we couldn't overcome such a terrible experience that gave us nightmares or we couldn't even sleep just thinking about our child's entire experience and how can a daycare run with advertised as "high quality/STEM," but no integrity and moral values....We absolutely could not continue our child's daycare program there anymore. We continued our search again for another daycare and big thank you to San Gabriel Kids Klub and staff for being there for us since the very first day we took our tour. What we saw was night and day, compared to the previous daycare and were stunned that we didn't find this hidden gem daycare earlier. My wife and I kept saying "what a blessing in disguise" that we found this place after such a horrible experience at the other daycare. What we saw on our tour: - front desk greeted every single family/childs name. - children are all so happy - the teachers knew all students names, even if the student was not in their classroom. - all students were engaged in activities (not a single kid by themselves or a group of 2-3 by theirselves). - the teacher/student ratio was fair. - All the teachers engaged and were attentive to all the students. - My wife loves the scheduled program and Curriculum based for developmental skills for each age. - Staff is extremely caring - Diverse and Cultured - Private kitchen for entire school/cafeteria - Children's Restroom are separate from classroom - All students knows each other from all ages - Tons of different activities for kids - Easy to talk to and welcomes you with open arms - Respectful where rules around - campus is strict but fair to understand We love how all teachers work together and care for each students personality. They all take their time with the students and consider the parents, along with understanding how important it is to teach culture to all ethnicities. This showed me how special it is to be a part of Kids Klub. Also, they have 3 locations and have night and weekend programs as well. We love the flexibility Kids Klub offers, from different schedule of programs, to night/weekend care, to seeing Summer CAMP, to picking up older students for after-school care program. It's been over a year here at Kids Klub and our 3year old has shown so much confidence, knowledge, skills, discipline, speech (talks so much ), learned how to control emotions, the list goes on. We are so sad to be moving away from the area, and we hope to be lucky enough find a camp and aftercare that is just as wonderful. I cannot say enough about the the staff as well as the other families who attend- it feels like a little family. My two children love going and easily scamper off at drop-off and don't want to leave when it's pickup. The staff is loving, patient, kind, and have great communication, and the activities are engaging and fun. The hours of the camp are dream come true for working parents (7:30- 6 pm), and even when I get off a little early, my kids beg to stay til close to closing. The field trips are also great. The freshly prepared food is also kid-friendly but nutritious, and my kids enjoyed the breakfast, lunch, and snacks included with the camp, and it made it easier getting out of the door in the morning. We are grateful that our children were cared for with such loving care, and as they like to say at the camp, "Kids Klub rocks!" Thank you for everything Kids Klub SGR!

He finished summer camp and I put him in Winter Camp for 1 day this year (Friday, 29th). When I picked him up that day I realized it was the last day of winter camp. Unfortunately, the dates I need for my son to be in camp are the first week of Jan. rather than the week of Christmas, since he's off both weeks. I think their schedule is different than my sons school, which is understandable. Either way, it's a great camp and he will be returning in the summer.

It's a great place for kids who prefer things like video production, animation, and gaming instead of the usual athletic camp activities. It was also super easy to sign up online, it was affordable, and I felt very safe leaving my kid in their care. My ONLY complaint is that they haven't aligned their winter camp dates with the local elementary school vacation schedules. I realize it's likely an issue of location (the camp is held at a school on a different academic calendar), but this is such a great program, it would be life changing to have it available for us working parents of creative/indoor kids throughout the first week of January, too. Either way, we're looking forward to coming back soon.

Based on our experience, I'd advise parents to take negative reviews with a grain of salt. All the teachers and staff here are genuinely so nice and unlike programs that focus mainly on copying pictures, Art/Work/Place balances technical skill building with creativity, imagination, and play. As someone who works as a designer in the gaming industry and has an art background, I can honestly say they're teaching kids the right way to learn art. Our son is already excited to be back in the fall!

Gradually my son would come home sad and upset. At first, I brushed off his complaints as maybe he just had a random rough day. Today, I picked up my son and Ms. Billy complained about his projects and all kinds of stuff right in front of my son. My son came to the car crying feeling terrible about his artwork. I asked him several questions about what happened as I didn't want to make any rash judgements about the teacher. He explained that he felt that Ms. Billie was being mean to him and that he was really struggling with clay (it's a new skill for him). I asked if she helps him with his clay a little extra since he's obviously struggling more than the rest of the more experienced students (I'd think she'd spend a little extra time with him). He said no - she was drinking tea and when she came back he had made a snail project where its tongue broke off and couldn't put it back on. He said he destroyed it and my son said she made another mean comment to him: "ohh so you're breaking stuff, instead of making stuff". He was struggling to put on the tongue, which you didn't help him with. Ms. Billy told me it was Gary the snail which didn't go with the CA theme they're working on. Ok. My question is: how is one of your struggling students able to make an entire snail project without you noticing until he's that far along with it? Then, the tongue falls ogf of it, you make a comment to him about it being wrong, he destroys it, you make another comment to him about him about breaking things instead of making things. Ok. If she's going to drink tea instead of helping struggling students then she shouldn't be surprised about them struggling. He said she was helping the other students - not him so much. He also said he got up to grab a toothpick, and she said to him "you're disrupting the entire class" and he was embarrassed that all the kids stared at him. He wasn't being defiant but she keeps treating him as if he is. My son said he was really surprised at how mean Ms. Billy was treating him - he genuinely didn't know he was doing anything wrong, She did sound agitated when she was complaining to me about my son. I know my son - he's not a bad kid and he's super kind. I'm not just saying that because he's my son. He truly is. I'm the type of person that takes criticism well and I'm happy to help correct behavior when necessary. In this case, I really feel that Ms. Billy is not spending enough time with struggling students - in my sons case not understanding instructions according to her. I didn't appreciate her putting my son down in front of both my husband and I. Ms. Billy made it sound as if my son was being defiant - I can assure you my son is not defiant - he genuinely is just having a hard time with the project! He's asking for help from his teacher in his own 8 year old way. He just turned 8 by the way. Mrs. Elizabeth in the front is amazing on the other hand! Very helpful and kind lady.
