This was my first time getting my eyelash extensions done. I've seen so many women with nice eyelashes that it was finally my time to see what it was all about. I only wear fake eyelashes on special occasions since I: 1) don't wear makeup daily, 2) have trouble putting the eyelashes on lol, 3) they get annoying if there's not enough glue in certain areas of the eyelash. Beretania Street. I was dropped of since I wasn't sure of where to park. There's a ramp RIGHT after the Allstate sign, and once you go up the ramp, you can park on the left side of the parking lot against the fence. You can then walk down the ramp and onto the sidewalk. Turn left down a small hallway of brown doors, and this place is on your right. The receptionist was very kind to help me locate this place via phone, as I was lost walking up the stairs instead of going straight down the hall. After I filled out paperwork inside, I was greeted by Olivia. She helped me decide on the "cute" eyelash style being that this was my first time. After 2 hours of lying in a reclining chair, I had my set of silk eyelashes placed. It was not painful at all! They looked absolutely adorable. I was very happy with the results. When I was checking out, Olivia gave me at-home instructions/care. You cannot touch your eyes at all or get water on them for 24 hours. She also gave me some suggestions of makeup removers/eyeliners I could purchase at Longs. There was also a special available: post a picture of your eyelashes on Facebook, Instagram, or Yelp, and receive $10.00 off your next eyelash service. Would I come back to get refills? Yes! It was my first time at Beauty Art Aesthetics and I absolutely love this place! The ambiance is very relaxing and clean. Everyone is professional and nice. I did my lash extensions with Jayci Oshiro. I really liked her because not only did she ask me questions to find out what kind of "look" I was going for, but the fact that she gave me a quick rundown on the condition of my lashes and why we were using the d curl, non-synthetic lashes, etc. This made me feel that much more comfortable and from then on, I knew I was in good hands :). When I woke up from my "nap" (the chair that I was sitting in was super comfy) and looked in the mirror, all I saw was curls. It's probably due to the fact that I'm used to wearing b curls. This is my first time getting eyelash extensions and I chose this place because the location was close in town and when I called to make an appointment they were so helpful and answered a lot of my questions. I had Olivia as my stylist she was very helpful and informative and made sure I was very comfortable. The whole process took about 2.5 hours but I was sitting in a huge lazy boy.. I knocked out for most of it. I got the Russian volume lashes plus some mink lashes. My own lashes are very short and thin so Olivia informed me that in order to save my own lashes from falling I couldn't have it too long. A HUGE MAHALO to Olivia and BAA for their AMAZING customer service!!! I'll be honest -- I didn't love my eyelash extensions, but I did receive compliments on them! Since I wasn't too crazy about them, I reached out and BAA was kind enough to follow up. After playing a little bit of phone tag, I was able to talk to Olivia (**TIP** she's also available by text which is very convenient!) who was so sweet and understanding about my situation. She took the time to listen to my concerns, and was very gracious through it all. She offered a few options about what she could do including coming in for a touch up and getting a refund. She was also kind enough to offer getting the lashes taken off. Since it's the holiday season, it was a bit difficult to sync up schedules (not surprised/not their fault, everyone loves getting their lashes done here and I too am working crazy holiday hours) but Olivia and her team (including a really sweet representative named Kevin) were very patient and accommodating. I am super grateful for their kind understanding and patience especially because I had to reschedule because of the chaotic holiday work season!!! A few things to note: After talking with Olivia, she explained that there may have been a misunderstanding about the eyelash serum. At the time, it was explained that the eyelash serum was needed however, Olivia was able to clarify that it's not a must or need but a highly recommended product as ultimately, it would help with future EE because it'll help the eyelashes to get stronger and healthier. I absolutely adore this place! The staff is always so nice and welcoming. And when it comes to first time procedures they make sure you understand the "care procedures." I got sugared for the first time here. And yes ladies sugaring is the next best hair removal technique. I've had a Brazilian wax before but I wanted to try sugaring. I don't know the detailed facts but from what I learned today, sugaring is all organic so there are no chemicals. When removing the hair instead of pulling it against the direction of the hair growth, it gets pulled with it. Sugaring also removes and damages the hair follicle (which you want to happen especially when you're getting a Brazilian) which causes your hair to grow at a much slower rate. Whereas waxing causes breakage to the hair because your pulling against the direction the hair is growing. Anyways! Haha I'm very awkward especially when it comes to "down there." But the lady who helped me (honestly I forgot her name -.-" sorry) made me feel very comfortable. It hurts at first but after a while you get used to it. I just loved it and the experience haha. I honestly can't wait to see how long it'll take the hair to grow back, because honestly.. The longer it takes the better! They're also having a special for the month of February. So instead of regular price which is a little over 60, you get it done for 45! So go try it ladies!!! It's amazing! read more

I was so tired of the hassle of putting on the strip lashes. I decided to try out eye lash extensions. This has been my first time in almost 6 year. The first time was when I was visiting Korea. It was nothing that special and decided it was nothing worth getting again. But when I decided to give it a 2nd try I looked on Yelp and found that this place had awesome reviews and a Yelp deal. Score! I called them to see if they had any openings that day. They didn't, but I loved the fact that the man I talked to on the phone tried asking around to see if I could try and get worked in. I ended up getting scheduled the next day. I'm always busy and easily forget about my appointments, so I like how they send you a friendly text reminder the morning of your appointment. The parking is a little tricky. It's on south beretania st across the street from times super market/Safeway. The parking entrance is literally under the blue Allstate sign up a very small ramp. The door isn't noticeable in the parking lot, you have to walk down a set of stairs at the very end of the parking lot and then you will find it. Anyways once I walked in it was a very clean calming environment. Staff was very nice and I love how they get you comfortable in a recliner chair and blanket. I feel super bad and forgot my aesthetians name. But before starting she have me a mini consult regarding the different styles of lashes and what would work best for me. I wanted lots and lots of volume and curl and she gave me just that! I love how this place puts only one lash extension per real lash so it's more healthier and less damaging. It took about 2 hours to finish the entire process. She gave me detailed aftercare instructions plus a few tools to keep my lashes in tip top shape. They have plenty of deals too! Refer a friend and we both would get $25 off and they also had a drawing that I participated in. Hopefully I win! I went out later that night and my friends absolutely loved it. They said it was like I was wearing "natural dramatic falsies." One of my friends had an appointment next week with another place but will be canceling so she can schedule with Beauty Art Aesthetics. I recommend this to everyone! They have great customer service and the prices are cheaper than the other places. I can't wait to come back to my 3 week follow up to get my lashes refilled. read more

This place is da bomb. And no I'm not just saying that. I say it cuz I mean it. I went to a different lash salon two months ago and those people told me I shouldn't ever get lashes and that I wasn't a good candidate because I teared up too much. Come to find out, the technician who told me that was very rough and not at all graceful in taping up my eyes that was why I teared up. I told Erika all of this before my appt and she arranged for a consultation and test before going through with it. I showed up and she was so accommodating to explain everything and give it a shot even though I told her what happened at a different place before. I decided to give this one more try and I was amazed by the results. I am a super low-maintenance kind of gal which basically means I'm pretty lazy in the morning and don't want to put on much make-up. After getting lashes, my morning routine went from 20 min to 10!
