She took the time to ask questions and listen to my previous issues. She was very meticulous and conscientious with my lift, super skilled professional. The shop is located in SALT Kakaako so there is a good amount of parkind and they offer parking validation! I made the appointment online and it was easy. Malia did my keratin lash lift and tint. Ive had one before, but didn't know what to expect. She was super nice and accommodating. I definitely recommend her. I was in a last minute rut to find someone to do lashes because my regular lash lady was busy. I called Lash Love, and to my advantage, they had availabilities for today. I was so stoked! It was easy to make an appt over the phone. I did have to put down a card though to hold the spot as a first time client. Once I got the appt booked, I got texts right away with location, parking, & health/safety info. It was great info to get & helped me be prepared. Once I arrived, the lady at the front checked me in. The bathroom code was made available also so I could do my business prior to lashing up. My lash lady was Phoebe. Once her prior appt was done, I saw her wipe down the table & clean up before I went in. Looked like she got sanitized tools too! I felt relieved that things were clean. Prior to the appt, I had like one eye with lashes, then the other side like bald. So I did have to get charged with a full set. Phoebe was able to create the look similar to what I originally had which was like a hybrid set. The whole appt took about 1.5 hours, so not too bad. Phoebe was very nice, soft spoken, and patient. During my session, my throat got dry because of the coldness inside, so a few times I coughed up a storm. She was sooo understanding and even got me water. I felt so embarrassed, but Phoebe made me feel comfortable and like it wasn't a big deal. Obviously, I would've been a germaphobe if I were her, but she kept her cool. Thank you, Lash Love! I'm an independent girly now! I had an appointment on 10/19/24 but never received the usual Vagaro reminder the day before, so I completely missed it. This was my first-ever missed appointment in my two years as a customer. Lash Love texted me to let me know I missed my appointment. I texted but realized I should just call because thoughts were not being communicated well via text. I called and spoke with the manager K who immediately was being unfreindly. I apologized and asked--out of curiosity--if she knew why the reminder hadn't been and she bluntly stated that she had no control over the app. She then became short and sassy but said she would refund the missed appointment fee. I insisted on paying, clarifying that my concern wasn't about the fee it was about the reminder. I was more than willing to pay, but the conversation was going nowhere. I ultimately ended the call to avoid further escalation because, with her attitude, I was starting to feel irritated. When I went to rebook, I discovered I had been blocked. I guess that was my consequence--blocked. At first, I was sad. I had been getting my lashes done there since 2022 and genuinely liked the two lash techs I saw regularly. I thought I had built a good relationship with them. Girls who get their lashes done know how stressful it is to find a good lash tech! But in the end, it was my mistake, and my time with Lash Love was over. Lesson learned: never rely solely on Vagaro reminders. From now on, I'll manually add all my appointments to my calendar when booking. Fast forward to today-- I LEARNED HOW TO APPLY LASH CLUSTERS ON MY OWN! You guys burned & left patches on my eyebrows! Don't do the eye brow lamination! I went to lash love on the first week of 2024 to try eye brow lamination for the first time. And it ended up very bad. The lady that did the brow lamination was nice but the entire final product was a disaster! So they said that brow lamination should last 6-8 weeks. And its only been 5 days after the service and my brows color came off, its dry, patchy because you guys plucked waaay too much off of me, and ive been having itchy red bumps all over my brows. The information on the website is inaccurate. Make sure you double check what you are actually booking for before you get screwed over. I got a classic set and asked to reschedule an appointment because of work. I told them a week on adavance and they never got back to me. Making me miss out on making a new appointment. When they did get back to me then claimed I would need a whole new set even though it wouldn't be over the 4 weeks. Online classic sets can last for up to 4 weeks. They said they need to change the online policy. I asked if they could make an acceptation this time since my lashes are still pretty full and they had inaccurate information. They were incredibly inconsiderate and continued to send me excuses about how COVID is to blame for their change in policy. I totally understand this but if you make a change in policy your clients should know before you screw them over. After being a loyal client for over a year I will not be returning here. I honestly wasn't even happy with my lashes when I left because on side was bigger than the other. But I never complain and always show up on time. This was my last straw. read more

2020 is the year for trying new things! I don't wear a lot of makeup, but decided that upgrading my lashes would be a treat for myself every once in a while. I decided to get a Lash Perm for the very first time and I'm so happy with the results! I set up an appointment online pretty easily. My friend recommended Shinell, and I found a lot of great reviews about her on yelp as well. I recommend booking in advance if you are only available on the weekends as it fills up pretty quickly, especially if you want a specific person. I also added a brow wax a week before my appointment by just texting Lash Love, and they were able to add it real quick and adjust my appointment. Parking is located in the SALT lot either the lower lot touching Ala Moana blvd or the garage. They validate and the first hour is free. Lash love texts you directions so its easy to find. Once I was there, I filled out some new client paperwork. Shinell started with my lash perm. If you're like me and know nothing about the service, they do a great job at explaining the steps and process. I opted for the basic service ($55) and you can choose either a lash lift or lash curl. Like the name suggests, the curl gives you more of a curl shape while the lift gives you longer lashes. I chose the lift since I don't wear mascara often and was looking more for the length of lashes to appear that I do. You keep your eyes closed the whole process and I basically fell asleep in between serums. Overall, there is minimal pain (maybe a few times when she was picking out the glue from my lashes). The smell of the chemicals or serums is a bit strong, but expected. Honestly such a relaxing experience though. My lashes turned out great and I'll definitely be back to do it again. It's been around 2 weeks since my appointment and I felt like the length has been holding. The only thing is that I've been noticing more loose eyelashes, so I may opt for the Keratin treatment the next time for extra protection and strength. After my lashes were done, Shinell did my brows. I'm not super picky and I asked her to clean and give a little shape. She said less is more which is always so nice to hear. She said she could do a little and if I wanted to add more shape she can always take more off. I really appreciate her attention to detail and I am so happy with how my brows turned out too! A plus side, is that compared to benefit brow, my t-zone did not break out after the wax, which probably means they use better solution. It's also only $15 for a wax which is one of the cheapest I've seen on the island. I can see why they have so many positive reviews and regular customers. The workers are so friendly and nice. They really do a great job and take what you want in mind. They also send you aftercare instructions via text and make sure you have no questions before leaving the place. This update is so long overdue! I've been getting lash extensions for the past few months now and I am loving it! When I made the decision to get extensions again I decided to give Nikki a try. I wanted to try their Enhanced set, with flirty to get a natural look and she did such a great job! I feel that every time I see her I'm wanting more! The entire time my eyes burned, told the technician and she said it must be the glue bc it was strong, and I understand it happens. The redness didn't appear until the next day I had them on, but one eye felt fine and the other felt like the corners of my eyes were bruised. I've had my lashes done before at a different place, but it didn't burned the whole entire time, and the redness was just mild. I'm a little disappointed/irritated today. I went in for a lash perm and I usually go for the perm/curl versus the lift because it looks nicer to me. At first when I looked at my lashes I was impressed because it looked nice, but then I found out the Mimi left the ends of my lashes off the rod so it didn't fully curl, and she was like oh it's more like a lift, but not really because it curls. And I was kind of thinking ok, but I wanted the curl. I couldn't tell until I got into the car that they actually do look like a lift...a more J type curl instead of the C curl I wanted. And I specifically said that's why I want the curl. To me, the "lift" style is nice and it does make the lash look longer, but to me, I can do that with my eyelash curler. I have a super hard time actually making my lashes curl nicely, could be because they're longer and super straight (think Asian stick straight eyelashes/hair). Now I'm irritated because I did this for a wedding I'm in this coming weekend and didn't want to fuss with falsies, but now I'm contemplating rinsing my face (to not keep the perm) so that I just start over. I don't really even have time this week to get this redone which is even more upsetting. I guess I'm irritated with the fact that I wasn't consulted in this deviation in the process. What made it worse was that I wasn't having a great day to begin with and was looking forward to this. It's almost like this person was telling me I don't know what I want and she knows me better than me! I'm also upset at myself because I didn't realize this in the studio, when we were done. It's not like I able to hold the microscopic mirror myself to look at them. This is why I DIY a lot of beauty things, I just can't trust professionals. Sorry if this seems like I'm overreacting, but I am really upset that this is the first time happening to me when I've gotten perms here a few times already, and I have the wedding coming up. UPDATE 6/24/2019: After they saw my review, I had a slight text exchange with the receptionist and then later last night I got a cal from Nikki who offered to fix my lashes herself. I felt so relieved that she understood (or at least seemed to) my frustration. I'm updating my review to 4 stars because really this shouldn't have happened, but I'm very happy they were able to resolve it. I swear that in addition to not getting what I wanted, I'm pretty sure Mimi left all the glue from the rod (that wasn't fully utilized) on my eyelid for me to peel off. I left another picture to show that. Also, I wanted to shed some light on why this upset me so much. Almost any other beauty service, you can more or less catch the provider doing something wrong mid way, whether it's correctable at that point is up in the air, but when you get your lashes done, you can't see what's happening and you end up placing a lot of trust in your provider, and when they don't go along with the original plan and it affects how you feel about your looks, it can make someone feel really emotional upset. Always come here to get my the lash perm service. They have apprentice specials that are $15 less than the original price. Employees who are starting off within this business usually are the apprentices as they practice and gain experience. But don't let that fool you! They are under the supervision of the owner/long-time employees. Sometimes I even hear them come over to observe their work or talk to them about their work. This makes me feel comfortable when I get my lashes done. The employees are always so nice. Cute decor and a nice clean environment. They always sanitize their hands and even offer you a blanket if you get cold! I've had services done by Malia (who is awesome btw! She took the time to perm my lashes really well, and it became one of the best lash lifts I've ever gotten) and Shinell (who loves to interact and get to know her clients!!).
