Great Job!!!! On time arrival in inclement weather. Fast installation and cleanup. I definitely…read morerecommend 828 Electric. Thank you.

828 Electric was recommended by neighbors on NextDoor with almost all mentioning Joel, the owner…read more Joel sent a guy named Michael to my house to do the quote. I showed him around the house and talked to him about my wiring needs for every room except the kitchen, which had been done by a licensed electrician a year earlier as part of a kitchen remodel. As we walked around the house, he said he was going to rewire the kitchen, even though it had already been done. He didn't really give a reason. I took him to the crawlspace after that where he discovered some questionable wiring. A week and a half passed and still no quote was sent to me so I contacted Joel and 2 to 3 days later spoke with Michael, who called me to say he would have it the next day but it ended up coming a few days later. The quote was at the high end and just a lump sum with very little detail. I responded a few days later with an email asking for detail and a breakout of the kitchen that I didn't want to pay for twice but didn't hear from him again until the following week. Communication was very poor. Because I was new to the area I posted on the NextDoor app asking people if not receiving any detail with a quote was a common occurrence for Western NC. Many people responded that it was not and that they wouldn't accept a quote like that (I did not mention 828 electric in my post). When Michael finally called me after days had passed once again, he stated that providing a lump sum without detailed parts and labor was the way they did things, and no one had ever asked him for more detail (apparently I was the first in all the years they'd been in business). I found that hard to believe but didn't really know what to say. He said that he wanted to rewire the kitchen because of the questionable wiring in the crawlspace but when he told me he was including the kitchen in his quote, he hadn't yet seen the questionable wiring so that was patently not true. He continued the call in a this is "my way or the highway" tone instead of looking for a middle ground regarding detail. Of course I didn't use them and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Kevin charged me 3 times what he quoted for 1 hour of work! When he told me he had to perform the…read morejob a little differently than he expected, I asked if it was more complicated. He told me it would actually make the job simpler. So I was shocked to get a bill for almost $800. Go ahead a hire Kevin - maybe he will stick to his quote and maybe he won't - do you really want to take that chance? BTW - he also left a mess behind when he "buried" the line in the ground. I tried to even out the huge clumps of grass and uneven ground myself and 2 feet of snow helped a little too - but it is still a mess.

Terrible day care. So many things wrong. First she requires an additional medical exam at parents…read morecost defying Medicaid annual checkup's legitimacy. Second if you are on part time, and miss a day due to childs illness [protracted at her day care] she does not let you substitute another day as other day care facilities do. Third, child was sick from day one, and eventually got lice. Paid for more missed days than attended. Toys are so numerous that she can't possibly disinfect them routinely and I saw no bleach bucket. Outdoor play area hasn't been cleaned, raked, or had play toys wiped down all winter. At Easter my child returned home proclaiming he had killed Jesus along with rest of classmates. I texted administrator telling her of this and stating that as far as she was concerned Easter was only about bunnies and easter eggs and not her guilt trips, and it was outrageous. She responded by blaming me, denying it ever happened, that I was at fault for not calling her and being nice to her etc. She said children age 3 came to her after seeing the extremely graphic Crucifixion on History Channel [!!!]special and she merely explained it to them. I had grilled my child as to what and who told him that he killed Jesus and he named her. I repeatedly insisted he did not kill Jesus and did not even know Jesus [as I don't indoctrinate 3r olds re religion let alone discus any aspect of the issue of dying for our sins which theologians still find challenging]. My child insisted he did kill Jesus, but it was ok because they had a big party afterwards!!!. This entire fiasco ended in her being so incensed at my complaint that she handed ME my check without the same notice of termination that she demanded from me. This is a hysterical woman so demented by her role in Fundamental religion that she could not even face up to her legal responsibility to keep church and state separate, and claimed the RIGHT to inform my 3yr old of ANYTHING to do with religion as she saw it. She does get state/federal funds for meals and is state licensed and is bound by law to not dictate religious ideologies without informing parents and was in clear violation and in fact said SOMETHING to provoke my child to absorb this insidious guilt trip.
