I wanted to take the time to explain my rating for this volleyball organization. I have seen posts…read morelately that just are not simply true. This has been nothing more than an attack on the club out of anger that something did not go their way. This is far from what I have experienced over the years. My daughter was a part of this club for most of her childhood. She was involved with Spikes all the way through H.S. I did get communication from the coaches and owner/coach, even to the point where I had to say, "You do know you are telling us everything 3 times". He then went on to explain why he does this. Over time I learned why often there are others who either forget, do not listen, or desire to manipulate what has been said. Having been with this organization for some time now, I have learned that yes, the owner/coach can be outspoken at times. This is not different from any coach I have experienced, having been an athlete myself. I have been in physical therapy for over 30 years, along with being a part of a large research and development of performance improvement and sports injury prevention program, specifically for female, adolescent athletes. Every girl out there is somebody's "Princess" as mine of course was and always will be. This did not mean she was given a "pass" on anything when it came to the team and coaching. This is all during the time that I became the vertical trainer for the team, and an assistant coach. This owner is fair, and consistent. As a coach and trainer, my daughter was not an exception. I approached this owner after approximately 2 years of watching my daughter with this organization and the coaches. It was my decision to approach this due to what I was seeing. What I had, and have seen, is an owner and coach, along with other coaches, that do this because they love it. He keeps prices down, he is fair, he will try to help when able and does care about the girls not only being a better player, more importantly being a part of the community that helps develop a stronger person for the future. Many may not know it, or understand him, I do know he has a heart of gold. That is why I became a part of this organization. Thank you to the Jumpstart and Spikes volleyball organization not only because it helped develop my daughter into a sturdier person, it has also given me opportunity to make a difference in a manner that counts so much to all of us. My kids loved the fountain play area, lazy river and water slides, dad loves the lap pool and hot tub. There's a nice variety of paid and "free" classes for both kids and adults, as well as community activities and access to physical therapists and personal trainers. I'm an amateur kettlebell sport athlete and use the facility 4-5 times per week. The staff is generally friendly, helpful and accommodating, they keep things reasonably clean and in good repair and they have a wide variety of cardio equipment, free weights and weight machines to choose from. It can get crowded evenings and weekends, but there's seldom a long wait for equipment. I love ending my workout in the steam room or sauna and a nice hot shower before I head to work. I've had memberships at chain and franchise gyms as well as private gyms. If you're self-motivated and have your own training plan, this is a great budget-friendly option! So grateful to have access to this great facility supported by our community!!

The coaches know what they're doing I know how to get the boys to improve their quality of the routines and skills. I have two kids attending. One is doing recreational classes and the other one is doing teams. The negative reviews from years ago are no longer relevant as Caesar is the new owner and has really turned this gym around. The facilities are extremely nice the environment and instructors are positive. The parents that have been on teams for years are very positive and friendly.

Unfortunately, the professionalism and support from the coaching staff and leadership were severely lacking when challenges arose. During her first year at the gym, my daughter expressed interest in pursuing college gymnastics. Her coach was not supportive. Instead of encouraging her while being realistic, the coach discouraged her and even refused to teach her new skills, stating, "Why should I teach you new skills if you are going to leave anyway?" This was deeply disappointing, as we were paying facility and coach to teach her. My daughter chose to stay because of the friendships she had built with her teammates. The following year, my daughter moved up a level and had a different coach. As a middle schooler navigating personal struggles, my daughter handled some issues poorly with her coach but they appeared to have been resolved. Later in the season, more issues arose but the director made decisions without hearing all sides and communicated things that should have been addressed personally via email. We attempted to contact her coach multiple times but both my daughter and I were ghosted. My 14 year old CHILD called the coach and texted her requesting a meeting to resolve the matter and the coach didn't ever reply! The coach is an ADULT responsible for mentoring and coaching CHILDREN! Despite paying non-refundable competition fees, the only option offered was for her to compete without a coach's backing--a serious safety concern. This left my daughter unsupported and she was forced to leave the gym. Over the course of our time there, I invested more than $10,000 and consistently supported the program and the coaches, even when I may have disagreed with them. When real issues arose, the way they were handled was unprofessional, dismissive, and deeply concerning. I recently contacted the owner of the gym to express my concerns and I didn't even get the courtesy of a reply. This is the thanks you get for spending your money there. Families considering this gym should be aware that while the facility is nice, the leadership and some coaching support may fall short when it truly matters.
