I wanted to take the time to explain my rating for this volleyball organization. I have seen posts lately that just are not simply true. This has been nothing more than an attack on the club out of anger that something did not go their way. This is far from what I have experienced over the years. My daughter was a part of this club for most of her childhood. She was involved with Spikes all the way through H.S. I did get communication from the coaches and owner/coach, even to the point where I had to say, "You do know you are telling us everything 3 times". He then went on to explain why he does this. Over time I learned why often there are others who either forget, do not listen, or desire to manipulate what has been said. Having been with this organization for some time now, I have learned that yes, the owner/coach can be outspoken at times. This is not different from any coach I have experienced, having been an athlete myself. I have been in physical therapy for over 30 years, along with being a part of a large research and development of performance improvement and sports injury prevention program, specifically for female, adolescent athletes. Every girl out there is somebody's "Princess" as mine of course was and always will be. This did not mean she was given a "pass" on anything when it came to the team and coaching. This is all during the time that I became the vertical trainer for the team, and an assistant coach. This owner is fair, and consistent. As a coach and trainer, my daughter was not an exception. I approached this owner after approximately 2 years of watching my daughter with this organization and the coaches. It was my decision to approach this due to what I was seeing. What I had, and have seen, is an owner and coach, along with other coaches, that do this because they love it. He keeps prices down, he is fair, he will try to help when able and does care about the girls not only being a better player, more importantly being a part of the community that helps develop a stronger person for the future. Many may not know it, or understand him, I do know he has a heart of gold. That is why I became a part of this organization. Thank you to the Jumpstart and Spikes volleyball organization not only because it helped develop my daughter into a sturdier person, it has also given me opportunity to make a difference in a manner that counts so much to all of us. We love the Spikes Volleyball club since day one. I am sorry the experience for one family was not the same. Spikes went through their rules and expectations in there annual meetings. My family believes Spikes coaching approach is one of the best. We are happy with the club, and my daughter loves the bond she has formed with her teammates. read more

I have 2 daughters at Spikes Volleyball Club. My oldest decided she wanted to play when she was 11. In the Denver Metro area, it feels like if you don't start a kiddo in a particular sport by the age of 4, they have missed their opportunity to play that sport. One of the reasons we looked into the Spikes program was because at 11, my daughter could begin in the level 1 program and learn the very basic ball handling skills she needed to learn and (big plus) Spikes was more affordable than anything else in our area. The levels program worked well for my daughter who moved from level 1 to level 3 in about 12 months time. She tried out for the Spikes 13's club team at 12 and she made it! It was an amazing season and she had an incredibly positive first year playing competitively. We really liked her coach, Amanda, and all of her teammates were wonderful too. No drama!! Yay! My other daughter is now in the level 2 program and loves it. One of the things Coach Pasky, the owner, expects of his Spikes players is that they all respect one another. "On the court, your teammates are your best friends and you have their back. No bitches." He warned us before hand that he was going to use this word. What he meant, was that he will not allow a player to cause drama or be inconsiderate to her fellow teammates or coaches. Coach Pasky doesn't mince words and you'll find that he is direct. This works for some, not for others. Also, just a heads up for girls who are on a travel team. In the very first team parent meeting , Coach Pasky makes it clear that if your daughter makes one of his teams, they do everything as a team. This is in an effort to build a strong relationship among the girls. Parents are welcome and encouraged to travel to all the tournaments in and out of state and you can stay in the same hotel as your daughter, but all the girls room together with either a chaperone or the team mom, not with their parents. I get it. Makes sense for team building opportunities. My daughter currently plays for the 14's and this will be her 1st time traveling with her team out of state. We hope she has another amazing season playing at Spikes. If you have a daughter who is new to volleyball, this is a great place to start and more affordable than some of the other clubs. So far we have had a great experience. read more

Spikes has been an incredible place for my daughter to learn the game and develop her skills! We LOVE the coaches! We LOVE the conservative environment and views! We are on year 3 and here to stay!! My daughter is player at Spikes. I cannot say enough great things about Coach Pasky. I am a busy parent who wants to embrace each of my kids interests, but I depend on teachers, coaches, etc. to develop the skills they need to grow in their interests. I trust the process in which Spikes trains and develops their players. They are validating but corrective and my daughter is really happy with her progress and loves her coaches. That's whats most important for our family. read more

I'm not going to read his entire wordy ramble below, but some things I caught: I never disputed the credit card charges. Ever. And you know that. You are lying....I also have never written a review about you before this one, ever. Testimonials from me? Where? Speaking of that...who is Mrs. J? Either you have me mixed up with someone else, or your lying again. My last name has never been a J. And for everyone reading this, his wordy response, inaccuracies, and defensive argumentative behavior show the kind of hot-headed person he is. Coach was very rude. The non refundable policy after they moved your daughter to a different level after signing up doesn't make any sense. owner was saying there is a waitlist and we even offered giving up our spot to someone on the waitlist but he refused to refund our money back. My daughter did not know anyone in the team and the coach did not made her feel welcome as a newcomer. You can tell the coach/owner is just all about the money. read more

The owner of this company just used his email list to send out a political message pertaining to the upcoming school board election. He used disparaging language toward the current school board and the email was angry and jarring. We all have a right to vote for any candidate we choose, Coach Pasky included. What I don't need, however, is my kid's former volleyball coach telling me who to vote for. I signed up to receive emails updating me on volleyball lesson schedules, not politics. This is not the first email that has nothing to do with volleyball and everything to do with politics that I have received from this company, but it will be the last as I am opting out of any further emails from Spikes. read more

Spike's has been a great place for our daughter to learn and grow in the sport of volleyball. It is not a big club where your daughter is just a number. The coaches are very approachable and have given our daughter ever opportunity to move up in their system. read more
