Great brewery find right outside Charlotte! A little tough to find initially in the business park it's located in, but a great space once inside! Loved the decor and ambiance. The bartender I had was great and she was quick to make suggestions, pour samples and got my flight to me super fast. There was a great live musician the Sat evening I went and I liked that the place had a lot of locals in it. The beers weren't spectacular, but a few stood out enough to make me want to come back and see what other seasonal draughts they might have. Definitely stop in and check them out! read more

Man I heard so much good about this place and I went last night for some beers and a good time. I love small breweries as they usually have a great selection. I went for a flight.. I tasted the same flavor I had tasted when I made my own beer a couple decades ago with a Mr Beer kit.. it was all contaminated (that bad weed taste). No warning, within 5 minutes I ran to the bathroom and I'm sorry to say, the toilet had to be scrubbed (sorry staff, at least I made it!). This brewery is just down the road from Ass Clown and also in a sort of industrial park area but a newer/nicer one. Inside it was nice, bar seating and then several large wooden wheel type of tables that could easily sit 6-8 people. Their menu offered Prosecco, Porter, Stout, Seltzer, Brown, a couple Ales, 2 IPAs and a NEIPA, Red and Blonde so they do have a wide variety but also doesn't seem like they are really focusing in on something to really make great. I am not sure how long they have been there as we weren't really able to talk to any of the beertenders but I do hope they if they are newer that they hone in on only a few styles and really perfect them. They need to do something to set themselves apart and make guests have an experience that stands out and makes them want to return. Our visit just did not do that unfortunately. read more

Super friendly folks who work here, a great selection of beer, and a "pay it forward" mentality! They have a generous board where you can choose to pay for a service member's drink if you'd like. They often have live music, too, which just adds to the ambiance and cozy, community feel. The staff gave great suggestions, drinks are serviced in plastic cups, which I was not a fan of and nor is Mother Earth, but maybe that's not normal? I'd like to revisit on a night where we can get some good food from one of their local food truck visitors. read more

This place is tucked into back into a business park but close drives to Ass clown and D9 brewing also if your looking to check out a few places . First time here and loved it. As we walked in we was immediately met with a greeting and some info on beers, service was excellent . Last weekend, after visiting Ass Clown, we decided to try Eleven Lakes again, we had visited last year, and to say the least, we were not impressed with their beer. Nothing special or exciting. Anyway, after ordering a decent beer, their Holidaze Christmas Ale, we sat down. My step-daughter had just received 10 new $20 bills from her father and for the first time, stepped up to buy the round. She was pretty proud of herself. About ten minutes later, one of the bartenders came over and said the $20 bill was fake and did we have another form of payment, we thought it was a joke and laughed it off. A few minutes later, another women, short hair and dumpy looking, came over and told us that the bill was fake and that we was refusing to accept it. She told me that there was a police officer sitting at the bar, who confirmed the bill was a counterfeit. I showed her the security strip was there when held up to the light, I also pointed out the security fibers in the paper. She was not having any of it, and got kind of nasty with us. My poor daughter got upset and started to cry. Needless to say, the nite was shot and being treated like criminals spoiled our night. Great job Eleven Lakes, treating people with respect. If you are so worried about passing counterfeit bills, buy a $5 dollar pen. You know the one the banks use? Probably not, as you to consumed with pointing fingers to your customers. We will not be back, and you know what, your beer really isn't anything special. Oh by the way, I went to the bank, they had a marker, I have attached the photo. Then on top of everything that happened, I told her that I will go to the bank and prove the note is real and that "I would come back, raise hell and expect an apology." This brewery is fairly new and it's always fun to try places just starting and then visit them after they've been around awhile to watch them grow and change. The space here is nice. There is a small outdoor space out front that can get pretty hot, just because all the pavement around the parking lot. There is a covered tent, though. I got a chance to meet the owner and he was extremely hospitable. He provided us with samples and snacks! Plenty of snacks. Try the buffalo ranch popcorn! And dill too, while you're at it. They have a nice selection of beers and I'm excited to see how they will expand and progress! read more

Come here if you want your event ruined. My wife and I held our wedding ceremony and reception here. This was planned for about 3 months with the owner Teri, and yet she still managed to ruin several things. My wedding was in scrambles as initially there was not enough seating for all my guests. My wife and I were also under the impression that the event area would be private to our party, yet when asking Teri about it, she told me that we must share it with strangers. Not a big fan of this place. We got a flight, and frankly all of the beers had a bland taste. Nothing stood out. And there is nothing that screams, "I'm going to Eleven Lakes for this beer." With powerhouses like D9 and Primal near by, I fear this place won't do well. I also wasn't a big fan of the decor on the inside. I get it's a "storage suite", but it's small and cramped. That's where D9 and Primal shine. There are spaces to go be secluded and not right on top of each other. There's so much wasted wall space as well. Eleven Lakes should hire a local artist to paint a mural on the wall space toward the top of the ceiling. Since there isn't much art work, posters (just the two TVs) and the Yankee stadium poster (go yanks!) your eyes naturally keep going up until you find something. It's a new place, and still learning I'm sure. I'll give it another go in a year or two. If they are still there. This place needs a few signature beers that are different from other pop up breweries. Also, they could take note on D9's social media game. That's where majority of patrons are turning too, to find out what's going on, and what beers are on tap. Back to D9 for some Swell Rider and Hakuna! read more

There were 4 of us, 2 have never been there and after I asked for my 4th sample which I was sharing with my boyfriend she quietly said "just a couple more though" when I said what did you say she was hesitant to repeat. I knew what she said but wanted her to repeat it and loud so she knew I heard. It wasn't like we were requesting flights it was the tiniest of a sample. After leaving another brewery to come check this one out this was not a great experience. She continued to give me a look when we were there and I could tell she was telling another woman at the bar about us. Perhaps it was her mom, seemed like it. Came here for the nearby car show on a Friday. This was my first time learning about ELB. I read up about them before arriving, sounds like a pretty cool company. I settled on the Paddle Session IPA. What a tasty brew for such a hot evening out. They have a really neat taproom with plenty of tables and stools if your prefer the conditioned air, or slide outside and "pull up a stump" to enjoy your brew. I also see they have snacks available upon request to compliment your consumption. Clean restrooms also await your presence when you're finished renting the devil's tasty adult juice. Four stars? This sucks to review because their beer is amazing. However an experience tonight made me review. I've been in twice. The first experience was great! The brew tender was very knowledgeable, friendly, and had been an employee for awhile so he knew a lot about the brewery. I came back tonight and it was very different. I had the same brew tender. However I came with my child this time. She got irritable (after a quarter of a beer mind you) and after me wanting to color with her and play with her she refused. She wanted to play in the rocks with her doll. I obliged. After about 5-10 minutes a lady (brew tender right behind her) was yelling from the door of the building, "I wouldn't let your daughter play in those rocks!" Completely confused but quickly realizing she was talking to me (I was the only person with a school-aged kid there) I turned around. She then said from the door "Dogs pee in that so it's your choice if you want her to sit there!" I never even thought of that. I'm an OCD clean person. It immediately freaked me out. The lady tried making small talk about the situation, but it was as she was walking to another table and then preaching about "how she owned the place so she should know." I didn't appreciate that she was more interested in boasting about her ownership than coming up to me and privately telling me she allows dogs to piss in her rocks at her brewery. Two beers and somehow added up to $17. It was definitely not worth $8/beer and I had no clue since the prices aren't apparent. Not only that but the owners had a dog loose in the bar which led to two dog altercations (between other dogs) and patrons and workers were not wearing masks properly. Apparently this was the daughters dog (also bartender) because when asked about it she said it was her parents place so it's fine... not really fine but ok. This place is in a storage complex and the beer was not great but not horrible. Had a hot dog cart that sold chili over Fritos.... there are better places in Cornelius and this place could be a lot better if they cared more about being professional instead of seemingly trying to have their own garage-brewery. read more

Not young kid friendly. All the local breweries we have been to are welcoming to parents and young kiddos but this place is not one of them. I see the benefit of having an adult friendly brewery for those not wanting to have kiddos around. So if that's your vibe this is the place. No music in the second room - bare bones and not much there. Guessing as they finish the space it will improve. Heard great things about the car show events. While I am still adjusting to breweries in business parks, my friends and I hit up this local brewery for a parents night out. Unfortunately, people bring kids to breweries now and I'm pretty sure there was an actual kids birthday party going on. However, beyond the excess of small children, a delightful selection of brews were offered for people of all tastes. The apricot habanero brought the heat and I loved it! My husband dug the chocolate porter stout and the IPAs. The service was quick and friendly. Sports on the tube and good music. Not too loud or rowdy. Recommend doing a flight (or two) to get the full experience. There are 3 or 4 breweries within a few miles but I have to say Eleven Lakes offered the best tasting brews! read more

We went there on a Saturday because the Cousins Lobster Food Truck was there. The Beer was an after thought to the Lobster, but I was really impressed. I got a flight and a pint and all of their beers were top notch. The flavors just seemed to work and they were all very drinkable. I actually prefer their beer to the other Big Lake Norman Brewery's. This place is new so it is just starting out. Not too crowded, not too big, no crowds of kids yelling and screaming while you are trying to enjoy your beer. It's kinda like going to Primal or D9 when they just started out. Nice. I will certainly be there if the Cousins Lobster Food Truck goes back.
