Cozy place to sit and have either a specialty coffee or alcohol drink. They have outdoor seating too. Our Salted Caramel Lattes were made quickly and tasted great. She anticipates everyone's needs, everyone here has always been nice but specifically Jess makes us all feel so taken care of and comfortable. I'll try a coffee next time because their beer on tap selection is consistently poor. You might as well go drink at a Chili's. So many awesome NC microbreweries but their beer selection is filled with shelf beer you could get at Food Lion and some crappy seltzer's. There are a few exceptions like Burial and Noda in there to purchase from the cooler but... Not sure who is buying their beer but it doesn't appear to be a beer drinker. read more

After a few visits, I can say this is the cool new hot spot in the Lake Norman area. Craft Beer, wine, snacks - savory scones, pretzels, local pimento cheese with crackers, flats or pita chips. If you are hungry, there are plenty of options that will deliver here. Live music on some nights. Chat with Kenny behind the bar about the wine & brews. He won't steer you wrong. So excited to have such a hip spot in Old Town Cornelius. FINALLY ;) This a great place to hang and enjoy an afternoon or evening with friends. A huge plus...it is one of the very few spots open late night around LKN. If you have to wait to get in, it is worth it. Be patient & come back often! I had only ever been here at night and for the beer. They are a great local spot with live bands playing almost nightly. But I had heard they served coffee during the day so figured I should check it out. Lovely! Love using the space during the day because they have large glass windows for natural light. They offer specialty seasonal lattes, I tried the vanilla cardamom. It was a little too sweet for me. They also have oat milk, though they were out of stock today. The baristas were nice and they offer a loyalty card for coffee! I'll probably be back here for more work. read more

It was a really cool place to,hang out, have a drink and listen to some good music. We came on a Sunday night as they have live blues. They have a wide variety of beers on tap and in the cooler. Not since I lived in Colorado, have I found a place that serves both coffee and beer. This place will fulfill both of your addictions all packaged in a really cool atmosphere. The beers on tap are constantly changing from day-to-day. As soon as one keg is tapped, then something new replaces it. I made the mistake of calling myself a "local junkie..." I totally didn't realize how that sounded out of context. I LOVE doing as much as I can as local as I can and this coffee-pub is pretty much the center of my life these days. AND it absolutely epitomizes my pseudo-hipster lifestyle. It is located in Old Town Cornelius and very convenient for those in Cornelius/Davidson. I especially love the location as it is a 2 minute walk from my front door. Morning time - They open at 7am for coffee and light breakfast treats: scones, muffins, oatmeal... the basic quick stuff. The coffee is from Summit Coffee's roastery and you just can't go wrong with that. I am not one to get super crazy with my morning coffee order, AND I drink a dang lot of coffee, so I stick with black coffee. Then I sit there and get my work done. When I am not traveling, I mostly work from home so this place is great when I need to get out of the house to get work done. The cozy atmosphere with tables to sit at or couches to sprawl out on are great for productivity... and the WiFi is solid. You can even sit in the old school window display area if you are feeling a little extra that day... I do. Night time - Absolutely the coolest place to be in the Cornelius/Davidson area. The owners are amazing. Very connected to the town and truly know you. The bartenders are just as awesome. It can be a busy place so you just have to wait your turn and make some confident eye contact but they truly do make sure to pay attention to everyone. The beer selection rotates and they often have PBR on the list for those of us who just need a beer with no fancy names and wasn't aged 76 months in a Maker Mark barrel. I usually drink wine but am drawn to the beer list here more so I can't say much for the wine there. For the super lit nights you can just go for the bottle of Rose'. As for the best night to go? There seems to always be something going on. Weekends are, obviously, busier but the weeknights are usually pretty fun as well. You can typically find me there for trivia night on Tuesdays eating junk food and lamenting over my poor knowledge of 1970's music. read more

I've had a few opportunities to try OTPH. Besides a regular "any day" visit, I've experienced New Years Eve, bingo night, and community yoga. Three very different experiences, and all very good. New Years Eve was a lively experience with lots of fun and laughter, full but not overcrowded. Bingo night was a little more family friendly, very casual, but a fun and relaxing way to enjoy a beer. Community yoga on Saturday mornings isn't always at OTPH, and the bar isn't open during this time, but it is a beautiful space for a quiet hour of yoga. I highly recommend checking this place out, especially when they have live music. They get some very talented bands and performers that you'll want to hear again. read more

This place is a perfect local watering hole! Good beer selection and great wine selection. They also have some cool options for snack. My personal favorite is the tub of bacon pimento cheese. I haven't lived at the lake for about a year but stopped in here as a nightcap for my birthday Friday night. Eclectic, coffee shop vibe with art on the walls and a hodgepodge of decorating. They do have the electronic "Tap Hunter" system on the big TV which shows you a real time list of available beers so download the app and be prepared to be amazed. Super friendly bartender who I could tell was passionate about craft beer. He told me about Tap Takeover night where one brewery comes in and puts all their stuff on all the drafts. That would be worth a drive up there from Uptown for me depending on the brewery. read more

We came out to see The Fry's play last night and found a unique, hip spot with a relaxed vibe. Great selection of craft beers, excellent service. They have lots of bar-height tables, but not a lot of stools (our only complaint). There are also some cozy seating areas in the front with couches and chairs and a huge patchwork leather cushion in a window seat. The music was great--loud enough to be able to hear it, but not so loud that we had to raise our voices to talk. Loved all the little table games they had to play while hanging out with our friends! They sparked some unexpected laughs and fun competition. I absolutely recommend checking them out. read more

First of all, as a musician, playing here is like no other place. The warmth of the room and acoustics make it an incredible joint to share our music. The staff is so supportive of our originals and are truly lovers of local art. They are welcoming and helpful, setting us up for a successful night. Secondly, as a craft beer lover, Old Town Public House is perfect. They always have a unique variety of choices. I have never been dissapoineted, the staff makes sure every drink you choose is something that suits your taste. It's a great place to come if you are learning about the craft beer scene or even if you are a home brewer and avid craft beer connoisseur. They meet you where you are at and really make it a fun experience. They make it easy to love craft beer! I'd also like to note, that the ambiance of the place is eclectic, warm, and relaxed. This is not the place to come and get rowdy, although we all have a good time. It's the kind of place you walk into and immediately start chatting with the people around you. A very family style vibe that I believe is the heart behind the place. I have left OTPH with new friends, new ideas and more knowledge of beer. Yay for OTPH! read more

OTPH is a great Cornelius option. Kenny is an outstanding bartender who knows how to create ambiance and conversation in addition to always keeping your drink filled. They have items on tap and have some unique can options that change frequently, including a sour or two. They have a range of various local music and will change the art on occasion. It attracts a wide cross-section of customers and makes everyone feel welcome. The staff is fun, interesting to talk to, and know enough about beer and wine to help you find something you'll love; whether you're looking for the comfortably familiar or the more adventurous. What's missing? Televisions, pretentiousness, and bad beer. OTPH has none of those. OTPH is a cute little gathering spot, with comfortable and roomy seating. It is great for meetings, getting work done, or enjoying the live music. I definitely recommend it more as a pub than as a coffee shop. They unfortunately sell Summit Coffee, which I personally am not a fan of the taste. So the first time ever coming here to get a coffee the person working could not get the grinder to work, so I essentially paid 5 dollars plus tip for a regular coffee. But I was given a card for a free coffee on my next visit, which I thought would suffice. I finally found time to come back, but I thought I could actually get the coffee I originally came for the first time but nope. She took the card asked me if it was for here or to go, poured regular coffee in a to go cup and said here you are. I was shocked! Won't be back! read more

This is where you want to be in Cornelius, most nights. Positive note: always a great selection of beer! Love that they serve local beer, although their wine list could be way better considering Yadkin Valley is an hour away. Missed opportunity there! Location is great, right in the heart of Old Town Cornelius. The spot itself is super trendy with quite a lot of seating for a bar. They even let you bring take out in. Cool! Food trucks are often parked outside for those munchies you get, too. Check their schedule for performances which are always happening! Love the selection of bands, trivia, etc. Service is always on par. The facility is always clean, bathrooms included. Ample street parking with lots nearby. Downside: this place gets crowded fast. Not only that, but in summer months it's HOT in there. All in all a great spot. read more
