Eli worked with me on my project -- putting risers onto two flights of open-type stairs -- over e-mail and gave me an estimate that turned out to be right on the nose. Eli installed a new bathroom fan in the basement of a rowhouse in DC. There was no fan previously so he had to cut the hole in the ceiling , another one in the brick outer wall, run the duct, and connect the electrical. The initial job was to install drywall and insulation on our unfinished garage walls, although I asked them to do a few more things since they were so good. Eli was very responsive to my request for an estimate and provided a competitive price. He was able to do the job on exactly the timeframe I requested, showed up early each day, cleaned the work site after each day, and finished in exactly the timeframe he promised, even though I added a few tasks to the job, including installing a new attic pull-down ladder, painting, and installing some window framing. We contacted Eli when we were considering adding stone to our front porch, and he responded immediately. We set up a time the same day for him to come by, see the porch, and discuss our options. He recommended 1 inch, 12 x 12 inch flagstone, and he even went with us to look at some flagstone at one of the local stone yards. After doing some price comparisons, we went with Tri-State stone (check them out), went to the yard and hand picked our own stone, loaded it up and brought it home. He had a little bit of trouble getting his stone master guy to come and do the work due to health issues, but once work began, it all came together in a few days and the results are beautiful. He even insisted on taking off his shoes before entering my home. He did a fine job, took out the old toilet, and left things cleaner than they were before he came. I'm really happy with the work Eli did on our condo. I've had so many bad experiences with contractors in the DC area - but Eli's amazing Yelp reviews caught my eye. We hired him to replace all of our baseboards and door casings with something nicer and more modern. He responded to my initial request very quickly, came out the next day to give us an estimate, and started the work within a week. His crew was professional and very punctual and worked to make sure we could still live in our condo while they did the work. They covered all the furniture and cleaned up daily. When we asked for a few of the finishing details to be touched up, Eli responded right away to assure us that the finished product would meet our expectations. He and David made sure that everything was perfect before they considered the project finished. On the second day of work, Eli spotted an unsightly cable TV wire that was be nailed to our old baseboards - He offered to hide it inside the walls (at no extra charge) while he was doing the work.
