Went for my 3rd consultation for my neck yesterday. The first 2 places I went to were high pressure and I was starting to feel overwhelmed and disgusted. ESP when you have to keep paying consult fees. When I finally met with Dr. Levine I was instantly calm. He seemed very truthful and honest and I again had hope that something could be done that wasn't going to break my bank. He took his time with me, I didn't feel rushed and most importantly I didn't feel pressure when the coordinator came in to discuss pricing. He even went over recovery time in detail and was honest about how good my neck could be. Other places told me you'll look 20 again. He was like you're at a 3 and I can get you to an 8. I respected that. I haven't made a decision yet but when I do I would definitely book with him. read more

TLDR: Dr. Levine and his staff are amazing. His billing team are not. I wish I could give Dr. Levin and his incredible medical team five stars. They performed surgery on my wife and did an amazing job. The work looks incredible, their bedside manner was amazing, they checked in after, really listened, etc. etc. We have rarely had a better experience with a doctor. HOWEVER the billing team there is AT BEST incompetent and more realistically purposefully deceitful in their billing practice so I can't. In fact. I have to warn you here and everywhere else I can leave a review about what they did. So...here's the story. The day before my wife's operation I received a call from the billing department telling me that I owed 2000 dollars for the anesthesia for my wife's procedure. I was told in NO uncertain terms that this would be ALL we would owe. I asked and they confirmed for me multiple times on the phone. We paid. Two months later we received a bill for 3000 extra dollars. When I called and asked about it they told me that they had processed the bill wrong and would correct it. They then sent me a new bill for 300 something dollars which, when I went to go pay it, reflected the old balance. I called back AGAIN and this time they told me ACTUALLY I did have to pay that balance because my insurance had a deductible. I told them this is the definition of surprise billing, that I'd been told on the phone that I would ONLY owe the money for anesthesia. They told me, too bad so sad you have to pay it. Months later after consulting with a lawyer guess what? I DO in fact have to pay it because there is absolutely nothing illegal about lying to you about what you owe for a procedure. I was personally told by the NY state attorney general's office "its unfortunate but there's nothing we can do" Well I paid my bill and now I'm warning you that if your going to go here for surgery get everything in writing. Record every phone call. And dr. levine if you're reading this, fire your billing department. read more

I am beyond thankful for everything Dr. Elie Levine has done for me over the years. The most recent is finally deciding to have a breast reduction. I'm so upset I did not do this sooner with Dr. Elie, my other surgeries were perfect but I was afraid of what I would look like mentally and emotionally speaking. Dr. Elie has greatly improved my quality of life. My breast reduction is better than what I wanted. He's been so caring, understanding and has a ton of patience for all my questions before and after surgery. I suffer from severe asthma and AS SOON AS I woke up from surgery, I can breathe better!!! I didn't feel like I have a watermelon sitting on my chest.... my neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain and upper arm pain was gone immediately. I suffered from chronic knots in my shoulders and I never thought I'd get rid of those, sometimes the pain was unbearable and I couldn't sleep. My boobs look like they did back in high school!!! It was always so hard to lose weight because of my size H breasts, having PCOS and LVH. I've had liposuction which greatly improved my health since it was always so difficult and now having this breast reduction, I'm excited for this new chapter in my life where I can do more at the gym without all the pain I was having, actually fit bras, finally wear nice clothing without feeling embarrassed because of how large my chest looked in clothing and my side boob doesn't hit my arm anymore especially when I'm diving. I found this doctor through my insurance company under Mt. Sinai hospital. Dr. Elie Levine is listed as in network. First off, he makes you pay a facility fee even though you have insurance. But still tries to bill the insurance Co. for a facility fee. He's in network, but his facility is not! He billed my surgery under another joint practice owned with his wife, Jodi Levine, who is out of network. Which I did not know. My insurance company said I am receiving a bill because he filed the insurance claim listing his wife as an out of network surgeon and/or assistant surgeon, which is not true. According to my insurance, they paid out the bill but because she's listed on claim as out of network it shows a balance which they emphatically stated I wouldnt have to pay were not Jodi being on the claim. NEVER have I met this person. Ever! She did not assist in this surgery at all. To my understanding, she is a dermatologist. My insurance called the billing dept. with me on a conference call, and they AGREED that the wrong account was billed for the surgery! They advised me to call back and speak to Bassey, and she will cancel the bill. She never returns my calls. They are still sending me a bill! What's worse, this doctor left a 3-inch visable scar adjacent to the surgery site, which I am going to have to correct with another doctor. This practice is uscrupulous, unethical, incompotent, and conducts fradulent business practices. Please do not choose this doctor! read more

Not worth the investment. Had a rhinoplasty last year and definitely not satisfied with the results. Dr Levine is nice but the results just weren't good or what I expected. Don't trust the 3D renders. You can feel in the dark at multiple steps of the process not knowing what to expect. Can't wait to get a revision rhinoplasty elsewhere next year. It is time to speak up. After 6 years of looking in the mirror with horrific scars, a botched job and $23,000 down the drain I must break my silence about Dr. Levine. Don't let his manipulative bedside manner trick you, you will spend $$$$ and be more disappointed. I've had 3 scar revision surgeries and still have Keloid scars on my arms and breasts. People stare at me on a regular basis when my arms are lifted and ask in disgust "OH MY! WHAT HAPPENED?" I wish I listened to my parents and peers and gotten the law involved but the sad truth is the doctor has his ass covered in every which way possible. I wanted this to be a 5star experience, unfortunately it was awful. I researched the office, mainly Jody Levine, but when I called to make the appointment, they told me that Dr. Elie Levine was the doctor to perform what I was looking for. After the consultation, I agreed to have filler for under eye hollowing. The price was $985 I didn't hesitate because he assured me that that's all I would need and showed me a picture of what I should expect to look like afterwards, etc. He seemed confident and knowledgeable. 3 days after the injection, I went in because of major bruising, which he also said wouldn't happen, but, whatever, it happens. I went BACK 10 days later, still bruised and no difference in my under eye hollows. I expressed my concern, and that I wasn't happy with the results. He proceeds to try and figure it out and when he looked at the before and after, he seemed surprised and so did his nurse because it looked WORSE. I saw her looking at him, like "it's not good" but he proceeds by stating that maybe another type of filler would work better- I'm like "why didn't you figure this out the FIRST time" He offered me nothing, except to think about another filler and told me that "some patients don't anticipate another expense......". No, I didn't "anticipate another expense" because YOU and you're supposed expertise, reassured me otherwise!!!! I'm going to call my credit card to see if I have any recourse. It's been 23 days and NO DIFFERENCE!!! Avoid going here, he honestly has no real expertise, it seems like he winged it. Office is nice, staff is understanding, but, unfortunately, he's an overpriced, seemingly inexperienced injection specialist with HORRIBLE RESULTS. Now I have to wait 6 months to visit ANOTHER doctor for the right filler. So disappointed. read more

I just joined Yelp to post a different review and thought about the best money I have spent in my 7 years in New York City. I was referred to Dr. Levine by a friend who said that he was a "conservative" plastic surgeon. I think we're all scared of not looking naturally fresh. Dr. Levine understood my desire for a surgical jawline tightening and removal from fat underneath my eyes (the little fat made me look tired / baggy). Two things: The results were everything I hoped for and still FOUR years later I am incredibly pleased and seeing long term results and perfectly taut jawline (I have a great jawline but skin was getting lax....now it continues to be a best feature). Everything he told me to expect about the procedures and recovery turned out to be correct and the outcome was as he said. Dr. Levine does not "sell" you, he educates you while speaking to you as an equal. That's the second thing....he "talks" shop with you about everything currently being discovered about old and new products and procedures. I love to be informed. He recommended a mini face lift to separate the layers of my skin (which finally eliminated the deepest of the scars) as well as a brow lift to improve the symmetrical appearance of my eyes. He is kind, meticulous, diligent, super-skilled, caring (just ask him about his kids), funny, a virtuoso with a scalpel, a maestro with a laser, and the best damn plastic surgeon in New York. Dr. Levine has magical hands! He is absolutely amazing at what he does. After over a year of searching for a plastic surgeon for my mommy makeover I almost shelved the idea since the 5-6 top-rated surgeons that I met with from NYC to Beverly HIlls said they could not give me the results that I desired. They all suggested that I would have to live with a tummy tuck scar from hip to hip on my 125 lbs frame. The excess skin that I had from pregnancy was a lot but I knew that it did not warrant a hip to hip scar. Dr. Levne agreed. I year and a half after my tummy tuck and breast augmentation I am the delight of my husband. After 10+ years together and 2 kids, he cannot keep his hands off me.
