I've thought about having liposuction on my legs for years and have procrastinated for many reasons. I had met with another surgeon prior to meeting with Dr. Swift and I just didn't feel "so sure" about having my treatment done with her, but truthfully, I didn't understand why I felt that way about her until I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Swift. I went to doctor swift for a consultation about a breast aug. he walked in the room with a "I'm better than you" scowel on his face, that remained there for the entirety of the appointment. He looked at my issues for all of 1 min and then left the room for me to get dressed, without explaining what would need to be done to get the results I want. He came back with a BMI chart wheel in hand, and in the rudest, coldest way told me that he, and no other surgeon would do the surgery on me because I'm overweight . He did not even weigh me, an had the attitude of someone who doesn't need to deal with people in their career, but, he is a doctor that's exactly what he's supposed to do. I left in tears not only because he said he wouldn't do it unless I lost 20 pounds, and couldn't get me out of the office fast enough. He may as well have said don't let the door hit you on your way out. AND JUST when I thought I couldn't be more insulted, he told me to go get a job and help people it would make me feel better when I said I was in between jobs. How dare he. By all means, I could use lose weight which I have been doing since my permanent plastic surgeon gave me hope about getting the results I want. , who doesn't? That wasn't the problem, the problem was with his horrible attitude. I'm happy that he was only my first opinion, because he shouldn't be talking for all plastic surgeons about no board certified surgeon would do my surgery unless I am under a certain weight based on a paper wheel scale that anyone can get for free, he didn't do doctoring in that way , he did not tell me what went wrong with my implants, wouldn't tell me what he could do to fix it, and he wasn't even correct about my fat placement-it was extra skin- I know this because since then I've had 3 more opinions, all better and more willing to help me and actually told me what would need to be done. I guess he is the only plastic surgeon in NY to only work on people of the perfect weight and body type to start off with. Thst is the whole END goal of cosmetic surgery, , not the beginning. Furthermore I am self conscious about my body already and even had trouble getting undressed in front of him or any one else- he made me even more so by calling me obese ( which he would know I'm not if he had bothered to weigh me) and told me to call back when I lose 20 pounds. His exact worlds. I left crying and hopeless. This is all because when it comes down to it, he just isn't a good enough surgeon to handle non textbook cases according to every other surgeon, even newer to the field than him. Explaining why I got the appointment so soon, and why the waiting room was completely empty. Why the phone didn't ring at all, And why he gave no information as to where to find pics of his results on patients. He also told me I should get out there and find a job when I told him I was in between jobs and wanted it to be done before I go back to work. As in, you're not getting this done any time soon so get it out of your head that this could be done that soon.HOW DARE YOU doctor swift. As soon as he saw me he made up his mind, and for the rest of the consultation he made me feel like I had some nerve to be overweight and think I could have cosmetic surgery. Update on my previous review re: my bad botox experience and the Dr.'s overuse of juvaderm on areas I didn't want -- it has now been approximately 2 months since I paid for 3 syringes of juvaderm and radiesse (along with Botox which did nothing) which was supposed to be injected into my nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Instead one syringe was used to enhance my cheeks although I specifically told the doctor I DID NOT want this. As of this writing whatever he injected in my nasolabial folds is gone - after less than 2 month and yet, I was told it would last months longer. So, I spent thousands of dollars for fillers and got almost nothing in return. Save your money and don't waste your time. Go to someone who knows what they're doing! read more

I have seen Dr. Swift at least 5 times now. I have been extremely pleased with my results - every time! - but even more so, I am pleased with Dr. Swift's commitment to artistry and his attentiveness to my needs as a patient.. Not once have I felt rushed or that I was being pushed into buying something I did not need. I feel most comfortable with his approach of 'trying a little first, and more later if we want to'. I have had botox and fillers from Dr. Swift, and not once have I bruised -- to this I credit his expertise in how/where to inject but also to his use of very thin needles (I have heard - but have not verified - that not all doctors use these extremely thin needles, mainly because they are so much more expensive). Even though I consider myself a 'basics' girl and frugal shopper, each procedure I feel was worth it. Every time I walk out of his office feeling as though I look a little more refreshed and less tired - huge feats for someone who has spent a greater part of her adult life - prior to seeing Dr. Swift -- being asked if she has had enought sleep! I also feel his pricing is very fair. In general I try to remain aware of the cost of these procedures -- and yes, I have been tempted by sales from Lifebooker & whatnot to go elsewhere -- but at the end of the day, my logic takes over. Dr. Swift knows my face and I have not had even one negative experience -- to me, this alone is worth ALOT. It is also my experience that Dr. Swift has been flexible & willing to work with my budget within reason. Listen, I am not a supermodel - nor do I expect to ever look like one - -but the results I have had with Dr. Swift have helped me feel as though I can look as pretty on the outside as I feel on the inside. I have a more prominent nose, and who knew that adding filler to my chin and jaw area appears to help balance that out? Unless I moved to the other side of the world, I serioudly would not consider seeing another doctor to perform any fillers on me. It was a big decision for me to get liposuction on my stomach because at age 34 you learn to love the cards you were dealt. However, I still dreamed about a day of a flat belly with no muffin tops. I looked up Dr. Swift six months before I was brave enough to make the phone call. The rest is history! It was total trust at first handshake and I was confident that Dr. Swift was going to sculpt my body into the one I felt I deserved. After all, I live a very healthy lifestyle of eating a low sugar vegetarian diet and I exercise daily with a moderate bike ride to work and bi-weekly 5K jogs. Despite this, the stubborn belly rolls never budged!
