My teenage daughter and I started getting facials from Elina Organics about a year-and-a-half ago. She was going through some hormonal changes and dealing with breakouts and the professional facials with Amy really helped improve her skin and her confidence. My skin is radiant whenever I get a facial and I'm looking to make it part of my monthly self-care routine. I use the Mermaid Elix and Undereye Recovery Mask daily along with a variety of other products. My daughter had a great regimen down at home using Elina's products and her skin continues to be gorgeous. I am extremely particular about what I put on my skin and read all labels for personal care products and food. I will not put anything on my skin that would not be safe to eat and I'm especially cognizant of ingredients that are disruptive to hormones. Elina's products tick all my boxes. I was recommended to Elina Organics by a friend months before my wedding. I wanted to get my skin looking its best for the wedding. I definitely succeeded. Martha is the BEST esthetician I have ever been to. She is so knowledgeable about the skin and about the products she uses. And the best part, they only use products they make! Their products are made with natural, local ingredients. My skin has never been happier. I see Martha once every two months. All my face care products come from Elina. I use the herbal cleanser, the herbal toner, the probiotic peel, and their make up remover. Recently I purchased their mascara and CBD lip gloss. LOVE the CBD lip gloss. It's not stinky or grainy, it's perfect. Great color. I also love the mascara. Unlike other mascaras, this one does flake off. So no black under your eyes at any point in the day. I wore mine for 7 hours while working (and sweating!) and nothing came off. I cannot recommend Elina Organics and Martha enough. Best place in Kalamazoo to get a facial, hands down. Awesome!! When I got there, I filled out a form about my skin & current skin care (along with other medical information) and met my esthetician, Sarah. I was brought to the room where my facial would take place, and I put on the towel and got on the table(?). I felt so relaxed as well as refreshed! She steamed, extracted, exfoliated, masked, toned, and moisturized my skin, along with using different tools like a rose quartz roller and a cold laser. She also provided me a lot of information on what she was doing and about skin care in general, which I enjoyed. She also put lip balm, eye cream, and tinted sunscreen on me before my facial was done. I definitely enjoyed my facial and made sure to schedule my next facial for 5 weeks later! I have been to Elinas twice now. Both for the same service (sort of). The first time, I did a Brazilian wax with Martha. It was great (as far as waxes go hahahaha) she was quick and down to earth. Today I went in and saw Andrea and tried a Brazilian with her but we did sugaring. Not only was it far less painful than waxing, she is super sweet and professional and also down to earth. I feel very comfortable and welcome at Elinas. Andrea also sent me home with a generous sample of a product I can use to prevent ingrown hairs. I will absolutely be back! read more

This is by far one of the best facials I've ever had!!! I've been twice now. Coming from Chicago, my experiences in Kzoo so far with pretty much all beauty/ spa services have been subpar until I found Elinas! I wish they were a full service spa!It probably helps that they have a location in Chicago as well. I've never experienced a spa with so many treatment machines and therapies all included in a basic facial. I would gladly pay twice the amount for the quality! And their products are amazing! Very rarely do I not want to go back to a place and unfortunately my experience with Elina Organics wasn't the greatest to make me want to go back. I went for sugaring/waxing and though they did a decent job with my eyebrows and upperlips I had a pretty bad experience with my arms. The wax was just stuck on my arm and wouldn't come off, the strip was tearing apart and I reached a point where I had to ask them to just stop. They were nice people and did offer to complete but with the wax barely coming off I did not want to go through it. Unfortunately I had to just leave midway without completing the wax service . The person at the reception wasn't very customer friendly which I think made the experience a bit bitter. I had high expectations from Elina Organics after reading so many good reviews about them but unfortunately it wasn't like that. Maybe it was just a bad day but don't think I'm going back again. read more

I want to start by saying that I never write negative reviews. I often give businesses the benefit of the doubt and look for my services elsewhere. Additionally, this negative review does not necessarily reflect the business as a whole. This is based on my one facial experience with an esthetician name Martha. When I first arrived they had me fill out a basic questionnaire about medical conditions, the products I use on my skin, and what I was hoping for with this facial. I was then taken to a room where Martha came in was immediately and unnecessarily rude and judgmental regarding my skin routine. She told me that it was all awful and that I would have to change everything about my routine. I asked how and she said that I would need to purchase their personal cleansers, moisturizers, scrubs, toners, oil control, etc. I asked if she could recommend any drugstore brands that would be better for my specific skin and she said absolutely nothing else would help besides their own line of products. She never tried to educate me on what ingredients were bad, why their products would benefit my skin, and did not even want to consider any other options besides Elina products. During the facial, she continuously critiqued my skin and claimed the generalized statement that my current products are ruining my skin (without ever explaining how or why). The facial itself was fine and what I assume to be a normal treatment. But afterwards she continued to try to sell me more products. She immediately put their line of makeup on my skin. I thought this was strange as she had just put healing cream and fancy moisturizer on 5 minutes earlier. I had also read elsewhere not to apply product to your face for at least 5 hours after a facial. She then tried to tell me how much better I looked with the makeup on. And let me tell you, the makeup did absolutely nothing to cover or even out my skin tone. This was very obvious yet she tried to tell me how much of an improvement it made and that I needed it. After this she showed me the MANY different products she wanted me to buy, all between $25-80 each. By this point I felt like I could not leave until she thought I was going to buy something. I lied and told her I would come back next week to buy them. She then asked if she convinced me to buy all of them. I replied by saying, "at least some of them". She turned to me and said "what did you just say? If you're not going to buy all of them, there's no point. You will not see any results without all of these products". I was just mad at that point and stopped answering. She then made me schedule another appointment 4-6 weeks out (again, I felt like I HAD to). Once I did, she finally left while I paid. As soon as I got home, I went on their scheduling website and cancelled that appointment. I will not be returning. Summary: Martha was judgmental, condescending, completely unhelpful, and tried to sell me hundreds of dollars of products without any explanation to back it up. I felt pressured and ill-informed throughout the entire experience. read more

Came here for a wax last year while I was home for break from college. I love my waxer in the Detroit area (Strip & Rip waxing studio), but while I was home it was my 6 week point to get waxed. I came here because I didn't want to drive back to Detroit for a wax. The lady who waved me (she was a bit older, don't remember her name) made me so uncomfortable telling me I was too young to get waxed over and over (I was 20 years old, and decided to do waxing bc of bad razor bumps). It was none of her business to tell me if I'm too young for it, and the whole time I was just waiting for her to finish so I could leave. If you're younger I wouldn't recommend coming here. Just moved back to the area from San Diego and was desperately looking for a new sugaring hair removal spot. Sugaring is very few and far between in this area, even most of west Michigan. I found Elina's had sugaring and thought I'd give it a try. I was nervous at first because I was in love with the sugaring service and esthetician I went to in CA. I had my first sugaring appointment here and asked lots of questions about technique and even ingredients to compare to what I had experienced before. I am SO happy with my experience here at Elina's with Andrea for sugaring hair removal.She makes everything comfortable, relaxing, and pain free! I feel so pampered after I leave!
