I went in over the weekend to get a shellac mani. While I was there two elderly ladies called and cancelled their appointments. One cancelled because she fell, Liz said that Trung offered to go to her house to do her nails if she wanted. How sweet is that?! Going above and beyond for their customers. I know that Liz takes extra time with clients that need extra time. If you have a physical disability, that doesn't matter to anyone at Phantastic, they'll do your nails and will not turn you away. I was surprised that Creation actually made and held a real reservation--sometimes nail salons give you a time, and when you arrive, you still have to wait. Not here! They made sure we sat next to each other for our pedicures and manicures. The salon looks new and was clean. Nice massage chairs, lots of polish colors. My favorite part was my nail technician, Tina. She was so friendly and helpful from the very beginning. We had a fun conversation, and she has a great sense of humor. She also took one look at my nails and said shellac would never stick on them because of the oils in my nails. I have had such problems with gel polish and she was the first to tell me why! I got the dip and it looks great. She also took care to apply the powder in thin layers for my nail's health, and it also looks better than when it's super thick and heavy. My mom and I went in for pedicures and she also got a shellac manicure. My shellac pedicure was…read moredone okay- the toenail shaping is atrocious and my cuticles weren't touched. However, both the manicure and pedicure that my mom had done were absolutely not well done. The shellac manicure peeled off in a day and the pedicure polish had smudged and basically fell off the nails within an hour of leaving... and my mom wore flip flops the entire day to ensure they dried properly. Besides the terrible execution of the services, the response from the owner Jessica has been ridiculous. She told my mom to go out and buy her own shellac and refunded $35 out of the $85 spent (not including tip). Her excuse was that they offered to redo the services... but when your nail tech puts cuticle oil on BEFORE shellac... that's a sure sign to run out the door. We should have. I absolutely recommend you do not waste your time at this gaudy little hometown spa.
