After doing that Google thing searching for haircuts for men in Antioch, Haircuts HQ was the spot…read morethat piqued my interest the most. Then browsed through Yelp and satisfied myself from the reviews I read. The best part is I followed their instructions yesterday from their website calling them to see about their waiting list. I wasn't sure when I'd be free due to my girlfriend needed to be seen at Kaiser and she suggested since I'm waiting to take my chances with their waiting list availability and tried for 4:30 ish. But then she came out and was told her prescriptions would take 20 to 30 minutes. I called back to say her appointment was taking longer than expected, the gal on the phone was very understanding and suggested to schedule for today Saturday around 11am. I arrived this morning earlier than expected but the gal at the front desk said I'm next. Fabulous! I was then seated at Homa's station. She's very nice and listened to my concerns about not wanting the type of cut that seems popular these days with the shaved close-to-the-bone sides and I'm just not into looking like the masses and told her I trusted her suggestion. Well, I'm happy to say I'll be going back as a regular customer! Homa is a treasure, thank you so much! My girlfriend who usually seems disappointed at the cuts I've received from the different gals at Great Clips was quite pleased. I'm not talking down at Great Clips but too often a different person with minimal notes from prior cuts asking me which number for the clipper size which I never know, they never seem to educate me on the differences, and then go to scissors but each time its a different cut no matter what. So, i'm through with that way of haircut.

Have…read moregotten there on time the last few times I've booked with her, but she's always been late and does take a little long to set up shop. I've actually never had a problem with her work, and have found myself coming back every single time. But the punctuality was definitely starting to get old now. The reason I'm giving a 1 star review, is because she over-processed my hair to the point where I've had to cut the length off by a lot now due to HORRIBLE breakage. I had an appointment with her in the morning, and she was 20 min late. I didn't mind this time, but I did tell her we needed to finish on time because I had work later on in the day. During the processing point, she took 2 walk in haircuts back to back. I started noticing time go by, and was concerned at how long I had the foil in my hair for. Mind you, I did tell her that I was on crunch time, as she kept getting sidetracked majority of the time, checking her phone a lot + the 2 walk ins. By the time she got to my hair, I was super super behind on time. I think she probably took over 45 min to check on my hair even though I told her I'm sure my hair was ready for the foils to be taken out. I reiterated to her that if she was going to take walk ins and be late to her booked appt, to have booked me for another time where she can really devote her time and effort, and not give a half effort. My hair as the days came, really felt like spaghetti. I literally cried cause I knew I was going to have to cut it due to severe damage. Went to another stylist to cut my hair and they told me I had to cut off a lot, and that my hair was in a super fragile state that needed deep treatment. I love Cindy but due to the horrible time management and lack of efforts in our last few appointments, I sadly don't think I'll be returning back, in fear of damaging my hair again to the point of no fixing.
