I needed a trim and decided to give this place a try. It's in a huge shopping center so there's a ton of parking. I had called and they took me in within 20 minutes of my call. The place was simple but very clean. USha cut my hair. She listen to what I wanted. I told her I wanted a hair trim but to take off weight. She put an oil in my hair do it wouldn't be frizzy. She cut my hair very fast and gave me what I wanted. The price was $30. I thought that was reasonable. Overall I had a great experience. read more

I was on time and she did 2 haircuts saying it wouldn't take long(didnt ask me though, just informed me that she would be doing) and eyebrows. I've been going to the salon for years. They're threading has been hit or miss depending on who you get to do your eyebrows. I've had some ladies make my eyebrows really thin and some do OK. I'm writing this review because the service I recently received was subpar. As you all know, this salon can be really busy so be prepared for long wait times. As I'm waiting one day, someone who came in after me, proceeds to get their eyebrows threaded before me. I will not be returning. Very bad service here for a hair color & highlights. The lady in the back station ruined my hair . She damaged it so bad with the chemicals. She had to redo my hair 4 days later and had an attitude because she couldn't get my hair right the first time and I went back to her and I showed her so she purposely messed it up because she wanted me to pay her again to redo my hair from the roots. I come here to get my eyebrows threaded and they are usually super fast no appt needed which is nice since I usually just go when I have time and am in the area. I never have the same person threading me, they have a lot of employees, some that I never see again which I don't like, but they all seem to do a good job at keeping my shape. They used to be $8 a few months ago I think they might have new owners, it is $10 for threading now which is super inexpensive in this area and they do a good job! read more

I could walk right in, I explained to Oma, (forgive me if I misspelled your name) that I have white hairs coming in and was thinking of dying it. Oma was able to explain highlights would last longer and look nicer after growth compared to dying it, so I took the professional advice. I also explained I wanted to grow out my hair so she didn't cut much off which is great. Oma is always there on Mondays. The woman who did my eyebrows, she is good and quick. Usha is exceptional and caters to each customers likes and make the necessary recommendation when you don't know what is best to do with your hair. Truly a hidden gem and a must place to get your salon needs. Easy to make appointments specially on an ASAP need, tries their best to accommodate on walk-ins if you're willing to wait, otherwise, they will offer the next available appointment on schedule. We try to make appointments as were during our visits because the calendar fills up fast. Again, I forgot to ask for the name of the woman who threaded my brows lol. Anyway, I walked in with no appointment booked and patiently waited for her to finish. There were 2 other women ahead of me and when it was my turn, she thanked me for waiting patiently. As she was threading my brows, I told her how I needed to come in more and not attempt to tweeze my brows myself anymore; Sometimes I get too lazy to leave my home to get them done but NEVER AGAIN! I appreciated this woman taking her time with my brows. As always, it was quick, but you can always tell when someone cares about their work. My left brow is naturally not as full as my right but after looking at her work when she was finished, I was so in shock at how good my brows looked! It can get busy at times but it is to be expected because they are the ONLY reasonable eyebrow threading shop that I know of in the area. I came into this place for spur-of-the-moment haircut after doing some shopping at Target. There's probably about 3-4 salons around the area and I figured I'd stop by here. I walk in and am immediately seated for a haircut. That was great. There was also another lady getting her eyebrows threaded. After I was seated and talked to the stylist about what I wanted with my hair, I expected her to get her tools and start cutting my hair like how it normally happens... Nope. She turns around to the other customer (because she too wanted her hair done or something) and starts talking about her hair and what to do with it WHILE her eyebrows were still being threaded. All the while I'm sitting there... watching her have a conversation. She comes back to do my hair and here I'm thinking- ok finally. She can focus on my hair now... Nope. The other customer just goes off again and starts talking and instead of cutting my hair while talking, the hair stylist lets go of my hair and literally turns her head and body to give the other customer her full-fledged attention. She then goes over to examine her hair while I'm sitting there... Who the hell does that!? She continued doing this, cutting a couple things off my hair and then turning around and conversing with the other lady. She tells me how she used to work in a salon where they charged 50 dollars for a haircut and how people from afar would come here just to have their hair cut by her. Really? Went to get my haircut today. Was $14.00 and the lady did a good job with one exception: she cut my ear. There was blood gushing out of my ear lobe. LOL. but she DID do a good job, hence the 3 stars. I feel bad because they are struggling like all the other businesses out there, so I will go back for another haircut and raise my rating IF she does a good job like she did now and does NOT cut my ear. She was obviously embarrassed and apologetic and I did not leave a tip. Give them a try if you have a simple haircut. Came in last minute on 9/15/19 to get my eyebrows done to find out they closed at 5:00 p.m.The very nice lady had help me even they were closed and WOW very very experienced lady that help me. I had no appointment, and I had no idea who would end up cutting my hair. I lucked out. The woman who did told me her name is "Hilary". She did an excellent job. I told her that I wanted a short cut. (I think I said it many times) And that's exactly what I got. I hadn't had that good of a cut in many months. I think I've found my new "go-to" person. I love this place. I always feel so welcome when I come here. I almost always get my haircut here by the barber they have, Lloyd. This guy is awesome!!! I get compliments all the time after leaving this place. He is probably the best barber in the Co Co County if not one of the top barbers in the Bay Area. He puts in a lot of effort when cutting here and he makes sure your satisfied before you leave. Just make sure you make an appointment with him, much better than waiting because his cuts usually take an hour or so and it is well worth the wait. On another note I bring my wife here for haircuts, eyebrow threading and coloring her hair. So what we have noticed is: Usha and Samira are great for eyebrow threading. Sherri is the best for men's/women's haircuts, hair coloring, and highlights. We have been going to this place for a number of years and there prices are very reasonable. I would always recommend making an appointment, but I know they take walk-in's as well. It usually gets packed in here so plan accordingly, especially around the weekend. read more

I feel sorry about the lady who does cut hair there who seems to be the manager but someone must stop this before is to late. Because everybody loves "Usha" who does a great job with every customer, I will suggest her to get rid of the "Black Dude" in the last station if she wants to keep that business going. This is not the first time the "Black dude" does his show. Most of the time is he and his woman yelling and talking BS using heavy language outside so all the customers can see and hear what is going on. What is funny do is that he comes back inside like nothing happened. I have witnessed his show more than ones and today I got enough. The "Dude" went today outside and left a chair next to a customer who was on the phone outside the front door and walked away with a customer he just did his hair...I thought...man this guy is a gent!!...few minutes later he came back eating Ice cream and like he was talking to a dog he told the customer to move from the chair. The customer got very upset and got mad due to the way this "Dude" talks but didn't react because his family was inside and was still on the phone. Also the customer told him, this is the way to treat your customers? to which the "Dude" replied: quote " You are not my customer" :) If I was the owner or manager of this stablishment located next to Toys "R" us, in the Shopping Center close to the Antioch Auto Plaza, I will fire that guy before loosing more customers. I could see the customer had a great relationship with the Hair Stylist lady but before leaving he said that they won't ever come back if that guy was still working there. Sad...they were 4 regular customers waiting to have their hair done. Solution: "Get rid of the Arrogant Black Dude in the last station" and save your business....he is just a bad publicity for you!!! read more
