Went in here for a alignment and flipped two of the tires spent 160 dollars for less then a hours worth of work went back home and my suspension was rattling. Went back the next day just to ask them what it could be from and he tells me it might be from flipping the tires and didn't even want to look at it without charging me. Went up the street for the guy to show me a bunch of the bolts needed to be tighten. If you want to go somewhere where you look like a dollar sign and they don't actually care to take care of you this is it. I can't stress enough how great this shop is! All the times I've had to take my car in, I've always left here completely satisfied and with peace of mind. I know of the surface-level maintenance when it comes to cars, but beyond an oil change and a dead battery diagnostic I'm in the dark. My biggest fear in going to a new mechanic is getting ripped off, and if it weren't for this shop that very much would have been the case. When my car's check engine light went off and it started running with a rough idle, I first took it to another shop. They kept my car for two days, weren't very informative, and the amount of money they wanted to charge me was absurd. I didn't like the feeling I was getting from that place so I decided to go elsewhere. After calling around I stumbled upon this shop, Elite Auto Care, where Ivan (the owner) told me I could bring my car in right away. In just a drive over and 30 minutes later, Ivan replaced my ignition coil and spark plugs. My car was back to running smoothly for a fraction of the price and time than the other shop. Ivan was completely transparent with me, walked me through answering my questions, and the overall vibe of the place was so welcoming and comfortable. These guys never disappoint. Their knowledge and expertise goes above and beyond what any other typical automotive shop would do. Came in for a full clutch replacement based on the horrible job the last shop had done to the car. 2021 I did a clutch replacement providing the pressure plate and clutch with throw out bearing and a friction plate for the flywheel. Got the car back and car didn't drive at all. Turned out flywheel wasn't aligned causing car to go into limp mode and throwing off timing response. Had that shop redo it again. After going back n forth decided to just leave the car in the garage gave up. Car was running but job wasn't done correctly based on how I was driving the car I knew something wasn't right. Finally came across this shop Elite Auto Care quoted me for the job after explaining the situation. Ivan and his crew took on the task and I provided once again all brand new parts with a new clutch, clutch pressure plate bearing sleeve , clutch fork. Pilot bushing and new throw out bearing along with a new friction plate. Dropped the car off Friday 13th and hoped for the best. I receive a call from one of his guys letting me know the friction plate was never replaced from the last job because they had some Time getting it off a new that it was never replaced based on the wear n tear it had on it. That alone gave me reassurance that the last job was done very bad. Rest assured I get a call Monday afternoon letting me know car is ready to go! It's been 1 day and 50 miles of traveling right off the bat from driving off the shop lot I felt a night and day difference in drivability and response from the car. Feels like a brand new car once again with confidence that all problems are resolved. If you got this far in my review don't go anywhere else. The experience and expertise Ivan has developed over the years of his career is truly what a mechanic should project and delivers the quality of service that any customer is looking for. He would never tell you what the car doesn't need just to make a quick buck like shops I've been to. He will service your car and take care of your car as if it was his own. Ivan is just awesome! As a mechanic and as a person! I have a 2008 Mazda 3 that has needed significant repairs to the suspension. Before I was introduced to Ivan, I took my car to Japanese Auto Tech. While they diagnosed and fixed my car better than my previous mechanic, they installed the left rear link completely wrong. This was only pointed out to me by Ivan after I decided to have him look at it. Ivan told me that the mechanic at Japanese auto tech had switched the bolts on the threads on the link, therefore stripping the bolts and making it impossible to take the link off and look at it without cutting through the nut. Which is costly! On top of installing the rear link wrong, Japanese auto tech also did not grease my new front and rear links. Ivan told me and showed me this then offered to talk/argue to Japanese auto tech over the phone that they should reimburse me for the repairs. Talk about going above and beyond! Took my car over to JAT and let them know what Ivan found. While they were willing to repair the link for free, they offered no apologies for the link installation or the greasing of the links themselves! Japanese auto tech literally told me they use in-house, pre-greased links and they didn't even think about greasing my links. No apologies. If you got a part that wasn't in-house, wouldn't you think to even look at it and make sure it was pre-greased? Seems logical to me and I'm not even a mechanic! Anyway, since Ivan was so honest I decided to have him repair my car even though I was going to have to pay extra money. It's important to have a mechanic that is going to be honest and truthful and not give excuses. Ivan is that mechanic! So if your in the valley and your car is in need of repairs take it to Ivan over at Elite Auto Care!! So this is an update to my previous experience with this ripoff artist Ivan, the owner of this terrible place. Ivan tried charging me $285 for a $5 part that would fix my automatic driver side window. He told me my window motor was blown and the gear teeth were broken. Along with that, he said I needed a new window regulator. Since this was such an expensive fix, I told him not to fix it and I bought my own tools and fixed this myself! Truth be told it took me a couple of hours, but I had no issues and was taking my time to make sure I did everything correctly. I bought the $5 gear, new tools for $55, and had to pay Ivan $40 for the diagnosis. So overall, $100 is better than $285 and now I know how to fix/change issues with my door by myself. And I shouldn't have to spend the money on new tools. The lesson here is that Ivan is a ripoff artist like every other mechanic here in LA. DO NOT GIVE ELITE AUTIO CARE YOUR BUSINESS!! I say, buy your own tools, spend the time to fix your own car and you'll save money and gain a new skill set. You'll be happier down the road. read more
