Thought my alternator needed to be replaced, so I decided to visti Elite Auto. Met Ivan and he took a look at my 2017 Hyundai Sonata and realized that there was nothing wrong with the alternator. Instead and to our surprise, the alternator belt came loose because of a rat or mouse which it also disintegrated. Outstanding service. Nowadays it is hard to find a mechanic that works on hybrid cars but Ivan was able to help me out. They were professional, honest, and they helped me save a lot of money. My car's engine was not starting all of a sudden. I was stuck away from Sherman Oaks where I live. So, I started looking for close by mechanics on Yelp and I came across Elite Auto Care with the great reviews. I called them to ask if they do mobile and the guy told me very politely that he would prefer to do it at the shop since he had all the tools and it would cost almost the same to tow the car and repair it there. I didn't have AAA membership then. Ivan generously offered to call one to tow the car for me to the shop. I didn't have cash on me then. Ivan was so nice to offer to pay the towing truck and add that to the bill. That was extraordinary in my opinion. After looking at the car, he told me it was the starter that need to be replaced, got to me with a very reasonable offer ($$) and told me that he will finish in an hour. He finished by then. I hate to demote my previous five star rating down to only three stars. But, last time I took my Prius to Elite Auto Care, they didn't do a lot of the work that needed to be done. It had a couple of issues that I wanted to be checked out. Also, I asked them to do a 60,000 mile check up, and was told after they examined my car, that it didn't really need anything done, right then. The check engine light had been going on and off for the past couple of months. Since it was off when I took it to the guys at Elite, they said they couldn't figure out what was going on, specifically at that moment. I was somewhat satisfied with that answer, until my dad decided to take the Prius back to the dealership for a second opinion. Apparently, there were multiple things that needed to be done. The dealership had some kind of machine that was able to retrieve data for the previously thrown codes, even when the check engine light was off. They said that records of those codes would still be in the car's computer. It ended up costing over $700 to have the work done. But I'm glad it was completed. Still, Ivan at Elite, seems to be an honest, hard-working guy. I'm guessing that if you just need simple things done, that aren't too specialized, the technology at his place would be enough. I might take my car to him for an oil change and to have fluids replaced. However, I will probably take my car back to the dealership next time, unless I find a better option before then. read more

This was by far the least I've ever paid for tires on this car, and I seem to go through a lot of them. They weren't in stock, but they got them in same-day and had me back on the road FAST! I was searching online for a certified Lexus repair shop after I received an astronomical estimate from the Lexus dealership. Luckily I came across Ivan at Elite Auto Care I emailed in my information and he gave me an estimate right away much more reasonable than the dealership. Ivan ordered Lexus parts and replaced and serviced the car. My husband drove the 2006 GX470 the other day and commented "boy wherever you had this serviced it has not run this smooth and quiet for years, great job". I can't say enough about how great an experience I had. I took Ivan my mom's 1992 Ford F-250 that had been sitting for years, and he did an amazing job in a very short time, even putting extra mechanics on it as needed. But most of the work he did himself, including blowing out the A/C lines 4 times to get it working, replacing the radio, alternator, differential service, shocks, etc. And all for a terrific price.
