It's been a decade or so since my last visit. I was passing through town and decided to get a shave. Excellent experience across the board. The two barbers are very friendly, the barber gave me one of the closest shaves I've had in years and the price is worth every penny. This barbershop is a gem in a world of a chain chop shops and appointments required. I'm always happy to stop at a shop that reminds me of life before smartphones and rush, rush, rush. I went into the barbershop for the first time yesterday, seen right away by lady who I did not love. I got a haircut and a beard trim, which was only $35, unbeatable. I've been going here for a few years now and the hair cuts are typically good. But the haircuts are now $35. Yes $35. Three years ago they were $15, then last year they went to $20 or $25, and as of this year $35. See ya!!!! You lost a customer! Inflation isn't an excuse to rip your customers off for average haircuts. read more

I've been going to Elite Barber Shop for about a year now. If you like the old school barber shop vibe, this is the place to go. They do a very sharp cut for men. Brian is my go-to barber but everyone there is awesome. I would recommend going during the week mid-day when they aren't too busy since it's first come first serve. I hate doing this, but... you have to be careful who cuts your hair here. I've gotten the best haircut ever here before, and, recently, the worst. This is objective because my female friends just asked me why I cut my own hair this time. That's... harsh, but hey, objective. Right? My last haircut there was a 5. These guys are the best. The only place I go for a cut. Family run; Nichole is a pretty lady and as far as I'm concerned the best barber there next to her dad. Good place all in all, I'll go there until I don't have the luxury. The price is low enough to leave a well deserved tip. So yeah no reason not to go here! read more

Nothing like an old school traditional barber shop! This is the place. Great talent straight across the shop- all professional skilled barbers AND (HOW FUN IS THIS) all relatives...father, brother, daughter. Dad bought the shop originally and is now retired. Had an amazing haircut from Mike, normally as a younger guy service is worse and they give you a rush job, but these guys did it right and took the time. I got a fantastic haircut for only 20$. He listened to my request and matched a photo I've been trying to have copied to perfection. After going to the same barber in California for 13 years, I was dreading having to find a new barber after moving out to Colorado. I always liked the old school, no frills barber shops. They get the job done at a fair price. After some research in the Longmont area, I stumbled across Elite Barbers. Needless to say, I found that old school barber shop. I've had my haircut by Mike and most recently Nicole. Both give great haircuts. I am so happy to have found an amazing barber shop and will be returning so long as I'm in the area. How often do you find a place that just knows what you want after a few visits? This is a truly a old school shop. They understand "fade", "taper" and "block neck" without having to explain what it is. If you need to get squared away, go here. There are no overly chatty cutters, no weird techno music and you will not be asked for a phone number or email address. The new cutter is Nicole, who is very talented. Jeff is also excellent. Went here today for a basic fade haircut. This is one of the worst haircuts I have ever received. Completely uneven and choppy and some spots didn't even get cut. I couldn't see the full extent of how bad it was until I got home. This should be the easiest most basic haircut to perform and they screwed it up. read more

When I want a haircut, I want it neat, basic, masculine. I can sit in any of the 4 chairs (Gary, Alan, Mike or Damian) and get the same quality job. I avoid the Saturday morning and pre-holiday rush, but the wait is never very long. Great oldies music and a manly atmosphere. You get current events if you want, social commentary, witty banter, good natured ribbing. I don't need frills, ferns or anything fancy. Elite Barber Shop is the real deal. read more

Walking in to the shop I was really intrigued by the old school feel of a barbershop. I was immediately welcomed and pulled into an open booth. When he asked what I wanted done with my hair I said I just needed a beard trim today, and to clean up my neck and edges and he seemed happy to oblige. Going through the trim I felt as if he was rushing, or that he really didn't care to do too good of a job. Well after 10 minutes of trimming and slightly cleaning up edges he shot me the "what do you think?" After realizing he never even shaved the back of my neck, or edges of my beard for that matter I asked him to do so, and he did. I paid my 20$ and walked out. Once I got home I realized the edges he trimmed (didn't even clean 'em up) on my cheek bones were half assed trimmed, and he even left full length hairs in areas he trimmed completely. How do you miss that? Also after looking I've noticed my beard is uneven in parts (which I don't see how that's possible with clippers) and it's annoying me to the point of considering shaving down to start all over again. By far the worst barber I've ever been to, and I'm completely let down for the look and atmosphere of the place to scream such professionalism, yet the service didn't follow the same vibe. read more
