I should have written this review after my very first massage, because Alex and her massages are AMAZING! I have been getting a monthly massage from Alex for quite a while now, and I can say with 100% confidence that I would not feel as great as I do, if it weren't for her. I have a very physically active job, and also go to the gym, etc so my body gets banged around quite a bit, but Alex keeps me feeling healthy and pain free. Her office is easy to locate, clean, quiet, and relaxing. Unlike other big company massage places, you are the only person in there so no awkward waiting room experience where you are sitting in a robe with a bunch of strangers. She always makes sure to check in and ask if you have any problem areas before she begins. The pressure of the massage is perfect for me! I always look forward to my massage because along with it making me feel fantastic, Alex herself is so fun to talk with (if talking during a massage is your thing...otherwise she will let you sit in peace.) Can i write two 5 star reviews? can I leave more stars? Todd's the man - now let's lay the foundation. I workout like a teenager trying to prove something, and, as a result, my body is tore up on the regular. Todd, *swoops in heroically*, is my go to guy for therapeutic massage. Now, I go to Todd for something very specific and I can only speak to that. No hippy dippy, scented candles, gentle whispering in the ear for me. This is straight thumbs in the butt digging, hurts-so-good, try your best not to yelp kind of work. I know Todd can do whatever you need him to do - but THAT is what's on the menu for me. Ok, in all seriousness. Whenever I see Todd, we have a 5 minute powwow as to what is bothering me, what needs work and what to lay off for that session. He is very skilled with mobilizing tough joints (shoulders, hips) using that crazy tract, press and release technique (im sure there is a pro name for it). He has a nice, quiet office with some gentle background sounds that allows you to find that happy center. His tools are simple, his technique is effective. As a result, his services are also very affordable. I had a massage one time at a fancy hotel. it cost me like $200, and here I stand not giving 2 flying poops about them. Cut the overhead, cut the crap, get a good massage from a talented masseuse. For those who ARE looking for the gentler experience, I know Todd can deliver that too. He does this cool thing right at the beginner where its a lot of firm, large surface area pressing that really just kind of sets the tone for relaxation. If I could give this review 10 stars i DEFINITELY WOULD!!! :-) I've known Todd for almost 6 years now. I met Todd for the first time when I was going to Massage Envy in Pleasant Hill when I moved back from Arizona. I'm a former chef of 7 years and I've always needed to get massages at least twice per month because of the hard work and strain kitchen work did to my back and my body. I called in one day to make my next appointment with Todd at ME and they informed me that he's not working there anymore. Nooooooooooo!! I was so upset. There were no other massage therapists at ME that I liked or that knew what i needed. They didn't listen to what I wanted done and what was bothering me for my overall health. Todd truly cares about his clients and pays great attention to them. He focuses on their every need and definitely fixes everything. He listens to everything they say what's bothering them. If deep tissue is your type of massage, You've NOW found the best in the bay! He uses all his strength, force and specialized technique to cure all knots and pain. If you're looking for a gentle massage or stone massage with light to firm pressure, Todd can definitely do that too. He's very well rounded when it comes to adjusting pressure for your preference during your massage. Besides Massage Envy, I've received numerous massages at high end hotels, resorts and spas spending between $100-250 for a 60 minute massage. No one can compare to how great and skilled Todd is. Some massage therapists at these hotels, resorts and spas, don't listen to exactly what i'd like done, or the pressure is too light or too hard.. Just all bad in numerous areas and for the price, a little ridiculous. Todd's massage services are very affordable to the point where i can definitely see him as frequently as I need. He's very flexible with his schedule to accommodate appointments and last minute appointments also. I've text him in the morning same day and was able to get a massage right after work about 6pm. That is awesome!! After every massage I've had with Todd, I walk out feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. He definitely knows exactly what he's doing and i would never go to any other massage therapist for my Deep Tissue Massages ever again.Todd is da man!!! I work out almost 5x a week so I've recently become a regular with Todd. I don't usually get massages often because I can't afford it or I never found a masseuse that "wow'd me". Look no further because Todd is all you need in your life! He's super down to earth, his pricing is affordable, flexible hours and he gets the work done. I have bad knots in my shoulders and back and he works those bad boys out like no other. Todd is also certified in rock taping! I'm definitely going to have him start taping my legs once I start training for my half marathons. Yeah, you can probably buy a roll of tape and do it yourself but from personal experience, you may get more bang from your buck by having someone who is certified put it on you. read more

I am a body worker and am very picky about who I will let work on me. That being said, I can tell you that Todd of Elite Bodyworks gives, hands down (pun intended) the BEST deep tissue massage I've ever had. I can truthfully say that Todd is AH-MAY-ZING at deep tissue and I go to him religiously. In fact, I don't go to anyone else for my deep tissue work. If you are in need for a quality massage at affordable rates, then Elite Bodyworks is the place for you. Todd is the absolute best at giving deep tissue massages. He asks what areas to focus on and what type of massage you are looking for (i.e. light, firm, deep tissue). I'm a mom to an 11 month old and hadn't had a massage in well over a year.
