By far prob the worst kosher dairy food place. I have given them several chances and they still have the worst accommodation. The only thing that is decent is the young crew that really tries. But the owner can care less. They used have sushi that's gone. They used to do breakfast that basically gone unless you come up until 11. We had arrived at 1 and by the time they took our order at 1:30 the waitress said she can't do anything for breakfast. The chef closed off all the item for the breakfast not idea what that means but there were three other customers asking for eggs and to all of them they said no. Just ridiculous you are not willing to make eggs for any of us. Then why would anyone want to come to this place. Don't bother coming here everything has no salt nor any taste. You'll end up throwing $40 for a plate of something you wouldn't give a straw cat. read more

We enjoyed our food but the service at breakfast was really bad. There were only about 4 other tables of customers (pretty empty)...so I just think they were not paying attention. My friend's food came out first, mine came out about 5 minutes later. No one had bothered to bring out our drinks before the food got there. They never refilled our coffee. The juice that was supposed to be included with our breakfast meal was never given to us. They never brought our check or told us how to pay...maybe you go up front??? I was here on a Sunday afternoon as part of a large party of about 20 people. I was skeptical of a kosher Italian place ( I am not kosher!), but it wowed me. My fetuccini a la vodka really hit the spot. So tasty. So savory. I also want to give a big thumbs up to the bread. I have no idea what they did to it, but it was warm and soft and just full of flavor. Good service too...those servers were always hustling and trying hard to please. I live not too far away and will probably go there again...bringing other non-Jews and non-Kosher people. Really a great place! read more

Pardon my slightly over-dramatized review of Elite but I left feeling ANGRY...and you don't like the Jack when she's angry. I heard such great things about this place from so many people, oooohing and ahhhhing about the crepes and chocolate drink concoctions, so when I had to take a client for coffee and he mentioned going to Elite, I was down. A tea and a hot chocolate later, my bill came out to $9.20 so I popped my credit card into the little pocket inside the folder. When the waitress came by she said they don't accept credit cards for tabs less than $10. I WAS EIGHTY CENTS SHORT, YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. So I looked at her like...really?! She said yes. Fine, I'm with a client I'll behave myself. With terribly slow service and this little bill-paying scenario, I will not return. I don't care how good the chocolate is. read more

Let me get this out of the way first its Kosher ...the good kind of kosher its a kosher dairy restaurant now with that being told ...there is no reason for this place not to be amazing yet its not we came for dinner on a cold winters evening there is a counter in front and about 10 tables so plenty of space we sat down friendly waitress was there in a minute offering use drinks and bread their menu is filled with tasty sounding salads as well as pasta dishes we opted for a french onion and cream of broccoli the onion soup had one big fat crouton that was surprisingly good considering the soup was really just not good it had an odd consistency too thick the cream soup was nothing special at all with very little flavor now onto the nachos the nachos were good and for the koshers we have been too this one actually had a nacho cheese sauce the tuna teriyaki looked nice but the sauce was too salty and did not have a nice taste. The fish portion was good but the sauce was clearly the problem service was ok not fast and not slow they have crepes on the menu we wanted to try but because every thing else was just meh ...we passed we had to ask for the check parking on the street was ok read more

Consistently good comfort foods and great service. The nachos are a must get, the paninis are delicious and come with a choice of salad, which you can substitute with fries. The entree salads are a huge portion and the elite cafe is their best one. The only menu option I dont like is their pizza because it is super doughy and the sauce is too sweet. read more

It's 11:30am, ordered eggs ... they ran out of bread... for that early I would say you weren't prepared for opening... orange juice is going to be from a carton - not freshly squeezed. The fries & eggs were perfect... something I can do at home. They do not make menu suggestions or ask if you would like a desert with your order. Place looked unorganized and lacking of service. Not enough waiters/waitresses. People had to get up to ask for what they needed. Poor management, this place is everything but "Elite".... - Hire more people and get them trained - for now that's the only tip your cafe deserves. read more

The food was delicious and fresh and the restaurant had a good vibe. But I ordered an omelette that says it comes with 2 toppings, coffee/tea, and orange juice. What the waiter didn't tell me, is that only some toppings are included. I got my bill and was charged an extra $2.50 for spinach, which was listed with the other toppings with no price discrepancy. I don't know where to start. I worked at muscat for a while so Elite Cafe seemed to be a reasonable competitor in the dairy kosher restaurant category of queens. I was extremely hungry and figured id give the place a chance. I ordered a French onion soups and the elite panini with a Caesar salad. The French onion soup. I was extremely shocked to find that the color of the soup was extremely light and that there was just thrown mozzarella in the soup. Bread served on the side?! Very untraditional but I figured id give it a try. The soup was okay but lacked that strong union taste you get from browning the onions. I must say that although I didn't enjoy have the bread on the side, the baguette was delicious. Extremely fresh and very taste. I wish they'd toast two pieces of bread with mozzarella n place it inside the soup. Ultimately, disappointing. My sandwich..i can't say it was anything out of the norm. It was well done. My only complaint is that it's suppose to come with a pesto mayonnaise and there was nothing along those lines in the panini. At least I didn't taste anything as such. My side Caesar salad. TOMATOES IN A CAESAR SALAD. This really throws me over the edge. Never ever ever should a Caesar salad have tomatoes in it. It's the worst thing in the world!!! The salad was disgusting! The dressing tasted like something out of a bottle. It was horrendous. Really the one stars is only for the bread. Otherwise, I can honestly say, I won't be coming back here till things start to look up. Hi! I am from California but always go to Elite Cafe when I am in Queens. I have been going there for many years... The food is usually really good for a Kosher restaurant. However, I was there on Monday at about 2pm and ordered the onion soup which I usually love when I dine out. However, this was the WORST watered down onion soup I ever tasted in my life....watered down soup with soupy cheese and a small piece of bread floating on top! HORRIBLE! Waste of $. I complained to the waitress and she did nothing. I paid for the soup as the owner/or manager was not available. The cashier took down my number and said they would call me but didn't bother... Anyways, I won't be back and have been going there for years. If you are running a business, integrity is everything as well as making the customer happy... read more

I and my Wife are Not Easy to Please Specially when it comes to Food!!! 0Its the Second time I come here, this time with the family. Came here today on labor day, place was open and nice and busy. Got seated right away. Got the Godzila and some other rolls, the Sushi was Amazing, Very fresh and Extreme Tasty!!! The Mozzarella Sandwich was Incredible, I asked them to add & upgraded it with Roasted Peppers and give me the Sesame panini bread ( which was No Problem and without any attitude) then toasted just to Perfection!!! Side Salads... Perfect! Lattes... Perfect! Cakes... Perfect! My kids were eating with their Fingers. A Great Experience on such a great last day before School starts. I contacted Benjamin from Elite Cafe through social media after seeing some positive posts on here. My wife and I wanted a kosher milk wedding that still had class but didn't break the bank. In short, Benji met with us multiple times to discuss and create the perfect menu and worked with us regarding the price. We told him that we had X amount to spend, and he made it happen beautifully and even added in a two tier wedding cake at no extra cost to us. The food was delicious and fit the ambiance of the wedding. But as important as the quality of the food was Benji's customer service. He remained dedicated to keeping our vision without compromising our budget. read more

Two stars for awful customer service (and that's before we ate). We landed at LaGuardia airport and placed an order to pick up. They told us 20 minutes, which would have been perfect. Food didn't come out until 50 minutes after we placed our order. No excuses from the workers. They kept telling us soon/5 minutes. All I want is honesty when I call. If it's going to take to 50 minutes just tell us. Set an appropriate and realistic expectation. Given the experience, low probability of me going back. There are many other options nearby. read more

We were shopping in the area, and my friend had been there before, so we stopped in. The restaurant looked busy, so we checked out their outdoor dining option...ugh! It's located IN the street, so you would have to step down from the curb, and - RIGHT INTO A DEEP, ICY PUDDLE! The tables looked like they were reclaimed from a garbage dump, and the chairs looked rickety and hazardous. The heater was turned off. In below freezing temps, we opted to wait for indoor dining. Upon entering the restaurant, service seemed informal and inattentive, but the decor and hip vibe encouraged me to stay. HUGE MISTAKE! My friend recommended the stuffed crust pizza and we also ordered the Elite panini, with the tomatoes and pesto on the side. When I asked the waiter what coffee they brew, he looked stunned and didn't answer. I asked him to bring me an American coffee, with 1/2 & 1/2. No 1/2 & 1/2, no cream. He then brought me a coffee Americano, which is almost double the price and something I don't like. Guess he thought I wouldn't notice. The panini eventually arrived, burnt, and instead of traditional panini bread, they used an old, heavily sesame seeded round roll which they cut into quarters. Guess they thought we wouldn't notice. Although we asked three different servers on four different occasions, the tomatoes and pesto didn't arrive until we had packed up the leftovers and delayed paying the check. No coffee refills because no one to ask. They dumped the food on the table and ran off. The piece de resistance came when, despite the current Covid mandate to operate restaurants at 35% capacity, they shoved in a party of seven at the next table, which was NOT 6 feet away! In fact, one person was extremely large and moved his chair so he would have more room. However, he moved his chair so close to us that he was practically in our laps! - and not wearing a mask. When we finally got a server's attention to complain, she told us that they were within the limit. We then asked to speak to a manager, and we're told that he wasn't in the restaurant. It was only when my friend started taking pictures of the restaurant on her phone, that someone who appeared to be in authority showed up at our table. He insisted that they were operating within the mandated limit and asked if we would like to move to another table! Why should WE move in the middle of OUR meal and, in fact, where would we move to? There wasn't a free table in the entire place! Plus, someone needs to go back to school to learn what 35% looks like! During this whole ordeal, no one ever offered us an apology for ANYTHING!...the coffee fiasco, the omitted tomatoes and pesto, the intrusion into our space...nothing! The food, btw, is just okay. The menu looks more interesting than the actual food. The service is atrocious. Will I be back? I'm not a masochist. If you don't believe me, read the other reviews.
