The appetizer list on the menu

Just moved to the area and this place is one block away. Thankfully the food is fantastic. Place is pretty small, but I've gotten a table both times I went. I love that the Appetizer Trio let's you choose which three (of the four appetizer options) you'd like.

Cool mom and pops style diner. It's on the corner so the place is set up long way with counter top seating, which is great in a diner, and two people booths on the other side. I want to say there are two four top tables right in the front but it's not a big place but it has a cozy feel to it. The young lady who took my takeout order was great. The menu was your basic diner menu. I was there for breakfast which they serve all day and there was plenty to pick from. I had an omelette which came with toast and potatoes. I also had a stack of silver dollar pancakes. Big portions and everything was good. Omelette was a little salty but otherwise good. I will definitely be back Parking is street or metered as it's right on Queens Blvd.

This place is a hair above starvation....Bacon was 3 different temps...under cooked, semi done and well done. Pancake was ok...My husband left most of his breakfast, home fries not great. Barely anyone there and our breakfast took a little longer than expected.

I normally get the waffle or French toast for breakfast because they are reliable. He gets an omelet or egg sandwiches. Is it the best food around? Probably not. The service? I like the younger waitress or the older gentleman. The older waitress and I just do not mix for some reason. All of that being said: the food is consistent but the service can use a little work.

This morning I was with a Prospetive student eating here. The plate had extra large portions, it was served by somebody's mother with love. A lady who appeared homeless came in talking soft. They handed her two menus (to go and sit down). She looked and asked if there was a breakfast special. The waitress replied no, but we do have a lunch special. The lady put the menu down and left. She later came back and said she didn't have any money. The owner/main waitress/ Mother/ owner type said we can give you some soup. The Lady said yes! Then they come out and give her soup, a large bagel sandwich with egg, bacon cheese, & a dinner roll to go with her large size soup. This place deserves your business beyond the good food and great prices. Not sure if they are religious, but they definitely got me to thinking what power inside of them compelled them toward this type of humanity/selflessness. They called the lady Love! Love, how can I help you! I will be returning here on my next trip to the big Apple!

Briarwood Cafe is a Columbian dinner. I went to this place for breakfast but it was already 12 so i had Chicken shish kebab over rice and House salad with homemade dressing. Potion was big and I couldn't finish it then a nice friendly waitress wrapped it for me.

【Manhattan Wrap】 Simply boiled onion with beef, no taste at all.

The buffalo wings are too salty, else it is tasty. I ordered a Manhattan Wrap, but it's simply boiled onion with beef, no flavor at all...I had to mix it with potato salad in order to finish the half piece.

Good breakfast in the heart of Queens. Excellent service. I had the idea of being in a very old-fashioned cafe. Prices are not expensive, and personnel is a mix of greek and latinos, which I liked. Will revisit if I'm nearbt.

I dine here frequently, so I am familiar with the typical portion sizes. The meal I received was noticeably smaller than what is normally served. To the server's credit, she acknowledged the issue and offered to have it corrected without hesitation. The more concerning issue involved my friend, who politely requested plastic utensils. She was told they were only available for takeout orders. Due to a medical condition, she does not use reusable utensils in restaurants. We have never encountered this issue at any other restaurant. As a result, we were unable to comfortably dine in. When I spoke with the manager, I explained that refusing a reasonable accommodation was inappropriate. His response was, "You never told me that," referring to my friend's medical condition. To be clear, customers should not be expected to disclose or justify their private medical information in order to receive a simple accommodation. We ultimately packed up our food and left because no effort was made to resolve the situation. Additionally, I had placed a separate takeout order before all of this occurred, but it was never entered into the system. When the check arrived, I was confused as to why the order was missing. To make matters worse, I was informed that I could not order an item from the children's menu as a takeout meal for my daughter. This policy was surprising, as I have never experienced such a restriction at any other restaurant. Overall, this was a very disappointing visit. While I appreciate that the server was willing to correct my meal, the lack of reasonable accommodation, poor communication, and multiple service issues left us with a negative experience. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and reevaluates both their policies and their approach to customer service.

I'd seen it on Yelp for quite a while, and the food in the photos looked really promising. Unfortunately, when we pulled up and saw the location, I had a feeling it wasn't going to live up to my expectations. I was hungry enough that I decided to give it a chance anyway. If you're coming strictly for the food, I'd probably skip it. But if you're looking for a casual spot to relax with a beer and grab a bite, it does the job. Although the meal wasn't what I had hoped for, I do think the kitchen made the best of the ingredients they had. My husband ordered the steak sandwich, and I was pleasantly surprised by how tender the meat was, even though it clearly wasn't an expensive cut. I ordered the French onion soup, which lacked depth of flavor, had very few onions, and the bread was really soggy. My Caesar salad, on the other hand, was dressed and tossed perfectly, but the dressing tasted like it came straight from a bottle. If they made their own dressing, or even used a higher-quality one, it could have been an excellent salad. Our server was friendly and attentive, though she didn't seem very familiar with food terminology. I asked whether the onion rings were made fresh or frozen, and she replied, "They always taste fresh when I've had them." That pretty much answered my question, I'm guessing they were frozen. Overall, it wasn't a satisfying meal for me. Then again, I came for the food. If your goal is simply to unwind with a drink and some casual bar food, you'll probably have a much better experience than I did.

They started us off with a croissant on the house, which was pretty good. Nice attention to detail as it was served with a heart-shaped side of butter. Also part of their happy hour menu are a couple select bar bites. I went for the chicken quesadillas, and it was a hearty portion at their price point. And it had a great flavor - chicken was nice and juicy. Natalie was our server, and was very attentive and friendly throughout our time here. And just when we thought it couldn't get better, Natalie and the manager brought us some cookies on the house to take home. Nothing but praise to be sung about this spot - I hear they're looking into possibly incorporating live music next. Will definitely be back - two thumbs up!

I heard him making jokes with customers and asking people for feedback. Now to the rest of it: service is weird and slow. When we were seated, we had to wait a little bit until receiving menus. Water wasn't automatically given to us also, so you have to ask. A woman took down our order, but later asked if we got waffles, even though I said pancakes - overall took 25 minutes to get our order of a salad and pancakes. Pancake platter came with two pancakes, two eggs, and a couple berries on the side. There's also an option to add sausage or bacon but no price there, which adds to the confusion. When we pointed it out, they removed the charge from our bill. There were maybe 3 people who stood behind the coffee bar which is kind of around a corner, making it hard to get service if you're not in their field of vision. Kind of strange there isn't a clear welcoming desk or something like that. Also, I think the menu uses AI as photos - there's a picture of a burger with fries and chips, but I don't think they serve chips. There's also a picture of cake with garlic next to it, which could be an artistic choice. We didn't get any drinks, but there was a table next to us who abandoned their full cups of Nutella lattes which was interesting.

The decor gives a diner display. It's not too busy on the walls. As we sat in the booth, it reminds me of an Amtrak dining experience. The restaurant is come as you are, business attire, work or casual. From the location I'd say it's more work dress and casual dress. The waitress was very kind and very attentive. When she brought the food she realized that I ordered strawberry jam and quickly fixed it. I ordered a vegetable omelette with home fries, rye toast, beef sausage, and a small grapefruit juice. The home fries were one of the best I've ever had, not too much fillers ( peppers and onions). I really enjoyed the home fries. The vegetable omelette was decent, I could tastes every vegetable but a little heavy on the onions. The rye toast was of a poor quality and sub par. I eat rye toast all the time. This toast tastes like someone ordered it and changed their mind and it just sat in the kitchen, just waiting for someone to order rye toast . It was cold, hard and stale, the other slice was half of that and the other half mushy. The sausage ( I'm inhaling trying to be nice) was intriguingly cut. I have never saw 1 sausage link cut in three sections. It was very interesting to look upon and very flat. They charged $5 for that. I guess creativity dictated the price of the sausage. I wanted to order another due to low satiety from the first. The small grapefruit juice was fine and just enough to complete my meal. Fist impression mean a lot, if I come for breakfast again, I'll do waffles with turkey sausage. I don't think things could go wrong with that selection BUT, the toast went wrong so, anything unexpected can occur.
