In July we attended the tasting to try all the dishes and from there chose all the menu options for the reception dinner. It was very convenient to have the venue as the caterer, and as we had eaten at McWethy's, their restaurant, many times (including the night we got engaged), we knew the food would be good. Since our wedding was in November, we had both the ceremony and the reception in the Great Hall. There was another event there (baby shower) in the morning but we were able to take possession of the bridal room at 2:30 pm and the other group had cleared out by then. My now-husband and his team of friends who were helping set up said the staff did a good job of quickly flipping the venue from the baby shower to ours. My only quibbles with the venue pertain to the bride room. There was only one lit bulb in the chandelier, so lighting was poor; no hangers in the closet; they provided us with a samovar of water upon request, but it leaked all over the vanity (water bottles would have been better); the couch is very low (my maid of honor couldn't get up from it without help; my mother brought in a couple of dining chairs so we weren't just standing, because there was just one other armchair to sit on); and it started out freezing but ended up roasting hot in the room. It was a good thing it was just me, my maid of honor, my mom and my hairdresser, and we had already done makeup at my mom's house in the morning, because if there had been lots of bridesmaids it would have been too crowded! (The bride room is connected to the public ladies room, but it has a keypad lock; the lighting in there is quite ambient as well.) We went for a medieval sort of theme with our wedding, so the Tudor-style beams and large fireplace in the Great Hall worked well with this. Our photographer also took photos outside against the golf course and building, including a lovely but very steep bridge. Cocktail hour was in the Terrace Room while they flipped the Great Hall from the ceremony seating to the tables and dance floor setup. We had arranged for specialty cocktails (named after our cats!) and the bartender delivered! The catering captain, Betty, introduced herself to us and also coordinated the timing of things well (speeches, bringing out the late night snack pretzel wall, etc). All the staff that we interacted with were true professionals. The food was all delicious (we chose NY strip with garlic herb butter sauce, chicken with champagne sauce, and cauliflower steak with pesto sauce as our three entree choices), and it was very helpful that they could make accomodations for vegans, vegetarians, people with gluten allergies, and dairy intolerance. This was quite an affordable yet very beautiful venue for our perfect day! Everything went perfectly as far as I know and we heard so many times from guests how lovely the setting was. I would highly recommend Mistwood as a wedding venue if you are planning for your special event.

Wow did I feel so small and stupid! Nicole came up to me in the waiting area and I could tell she was a little shocked at my age. When she found out I have never played well all she kept asking is what sports I have played. When I said none, she replied with "not even bowling?" With such a condescending attitude i really wanted to walk out then. She made it VERY clear with her attitude that she was very annoyed with having me as a student. I felt SO stupid and will never go back there and probably never take lessons anywhere because I do not want to ever feel like she made me feel ever again!

It worked out perfectly, she's now on at the club level and really enjoying it. The bigger thing is how much my child enjoys her time at Eichs as a parent, she loves coming and going. The staff is always looking out for the kids 1st and it shows, their approach has built up her confidence as well as her skill. If your looking to get your child into this sport this is a great place to start and grow. They will make a ton of promises and never follow through with them yet take your money. We signed up for club for $1100 and about $1800 total later, my daughter was put on a team where the coach had no real club experience and the team was created from grabbing people off of the street literally. Parents were ready to pay but the girls had no interest and very little experience. Tournaments consisted of a silent coach that gave no feedback or direction and girls goofing off on the court, standing still, or rolling their eyes when a ball came close to them. The only points my daughters Eichs team made was from the other team's errors. Eichs hides when any conflict arises and then buries you in more lies. They invested in a new VB court when their batting business tanked but the court is too low to have a solid practice on it yet the club experience is on that court while rec teams have the proper courts. The air conditioning is only on when parents are around. Think about summer practices and open gym before you drop your kids off.

My husband and I got a huge kick out of playing those. My kids much preferred the shooting and driving games. The coach decided to have my son stand in the net and catch the ball as each of the boys fielded it and threw as hard as they could. Of course, he missed one and it hit him in the Eye. It cut him above the eye. He left the field bleeding and with broken glasses. The coach never came to check on him. We had to find someone to get a first aid kit to assist us. I was denied a refund. Protect your children. Do not take them to this facility. BTW. The coach never called to ask how he was. ​​

Its owner and now the sole coach is completely unprofessional and neglects the kids. During a recent two-hour session, my daughter and several others got zero coaching while he hid in the bathroom, chatted on his phone, or played doubles with friends instead of supervising his students, who were left standing around with nothing to do. With only two courts for a dozen kids, most of them just wait endlessly while he plays with adults who aren't even enrolled. When I confronted him, he blamed the children for "standing outside the courts" and told them to "find things to do" because "he's not their babysitter." After requesting a refund for the unused lessons, he promised to process it in two days, then refused--citing bogus excuses about lesson expiration--and blocked my calls, arrogantly declaring he doesn't care about negative reviews and will "fix" them himself. Avoid this shameless, money-grubbing coach at all costs.

Due to forcing us sharing the court we reserved with other customers while we explained many times that we agree to let other people play, and we understand the situation, but we just need 10 more minutes to finish our game The owner showed a complete lack of professionalism and customer service, and it was extremely disappointing. It's unacceptable for a business to treat their customers in such a disrespectful manner shouting at us without any proper reason. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would advise people to look for alternative options. I personally believe that we were discriminated against by the owner. The environment was not welcoming and the owner's behavior was unacceptable. It's a shame that such negativity ruined what could have been an enjoyable activity.
