I had a TIA (Mini stroke) back in September of this year. Found Dr Ali the wait wasn't bad first visit my issue is he's not easily available at all. I understand you have two locations but it's no excuse to cancel my stress test and not even reschedule added I'd have to wait 5 -7 more days to see him. My physican kept calling him to explain 4 days after seeing him the first visit that she read from my hospital records I have a moderate PFO. We called non stop half the time you get a voicemail service. On top of that I wanted to change my medicine Metoprolol I had a serious reaction to it. I had only two options see my Dr hope she changed my prescription that he prescribed or go to the emergency room. Nevertheless I scheduled an appointment with my physican and she changed my medicine. That's absolutely dangerous to go three days on no beta blockers I felt horrible. Added he canceled my stress test and on that day I was going to ask him to change my medicine. It took weeks for my report and the report wasn't ij full detail as my physican read it. The hospital report was more in-depth. I'm glad I have an understanding and ready available private Physican she referred me to a new cardiologist who she called when she couldn't get through to Dr Ali to ask about my moderate PFO. Be aware if availability is what you need this isn't the cardiologist to see especially if you have heart issues.

I had reached out for help and you know what she told me, " uhhh wait a minute, let me finish my protein drink. I had reached out for "anxiety and depressive" issues and had not heard a response for a couple of weeks, how unprofessional. I am a medical professional and I take my license "very" seriously!!! In 2020 Dr.Calat was recommended by my son's longtime dentist. He needed his wisdom teeth…read moreremoved. We decided to remove the two on his right side, one of which was causing issues. The office is nice and clean. All COVID precautions were taken. Dr. Calat took my son x-rays, showed them to us and explained that it should be a routine removal (thankfully it was). As my son was resting he called me in his office to show me additional images which showed a "small lump" in the side of his neck. He recommended we follow up with a EN&T specialist, which we did. My son was diagnosed with a calcium buildup in his salivary gland. Thankfully it is an issue that can be managed. I cannot thank Dr. Calat enough for being so diligent and informing me of something that alerted him. On Friday, my son had his final two wisdom teeth removed, one which had a cavity and the other, which was very close to his sinus cavity. Dr. Calat explained that the tooth close to the sinus cavity (it was weirdly shaped and visibly close after viewing the x-rays) could cause a problem but he would try his very best. Once the extractions were completed, Dr.Calat explained that this time my son needed stitches in that the space between where the tooth was and the nasal cavity so it could heal with no issues. He recommended that my son take a decongestant for a week or two and gave us directions on how to avoid any issues (do not hold nose when sneezing, sneeze with his mouth open, no heavy lifting over 20 lbs etc). He also recommended if he has any sinus issues to follow up with an EN&T. Dr. Calat ran to us and called us back into his office as we were prematurely leaving his office after the visit (he heard us saying thank you and goodbye to the staff). The next day Dr. Calat texted my son to see how he was feeling. Dr. Calat is a top notch oral surgeon!!! He took his time with my son and I, explaining everything and gave the personal care that sometimes is missing in the dental field. Although Dr. Calat is not a preferred provider in my dental insurance, I have a PPO which allows me to go "outside my network". I was fully aware I would have to pay some out of pocket expenses however the professionalism and attention to detail you get with Dr. Calat is priceless! I would highly recommend Dr. Calat!! PS..I would attach the photos of the wisdom teeth...they looked like they came from an Alien but I will save your lunch for you. LOL!!
