This was a cool night organized by Morlene and Yelp to try out beer in Eckhart Beer Co. I love the beer so much. They specialized in Czech and German beer. Nick, the owner was very nice and warm in welcoming Yelp Elites to try out beer and gave a tour in their brewery room. The equipment was so shiny and big in the brewery room where we learned how beer was made. It was a cool experience looking at the shiny silver equipment everywhere. It looked very expensive! I loved how they plastered high up in the walls on the first floor of the name of each beer. It looked so cool with the yellow backlight highlighting the beer. The place looked kind of like a Japanese setting with the walls and the wooden grid line plastered high up next to the staircase by the entrance. It gave me Asian vibes even though the whole place is all about European beer. The lighting was dark so it felt intimate even though there was a lot of people. We got started with a free beer for each person. The bartenders recommended the Czech lagers and there were 3 of them on the menu. I saw some Elites holding the round short mug of very foamy beer. It looked very appealing so I went for the Czech Style Amber Lager and I was glad I made that pick. It was very good and balanced in my mouth. Nothing stood out in my mouth for me to complain. All the ingredients balanced well together when I took every sip. I was happy for that. I don't like some ingredient standing out in my mouth with the after taste of it. I think it was the spiciness and bitterness blended together with caramel and fruit, which was a good mix. It was not even heavy and the foam made it very good to sip. I got another drink in the middle of the night after I finished my first drink and it was the Helles Lager. That one was not as foamy as the Czech amber lager. It was more tart in my opinion. It was still good though and pretty light. It was also not much in alcohol content. Just around 5% ABV so that was nice. Apart from the beer, we were offered an entree of either a brat dog (meat) or falafel dog (vegan). I got the brat dog and it looked so nice when I saw it. The kraut on the dog looked very cool. The sausage was pale brown so it looked high quality. It was not your average red plain dog. The brioche bun was crispy and looked very appealing. My first time trying this style hot dog. After the entree, I got to try out their chocolate mousse dessert in a nice coupe cocktail glass. It looked very exquisite. The oil and whipped cream made the whole dessert very exquisite. The oil was a nice touch, something that most desserts would never have so it was my first time trying it out like the brat dog in brioche. Apart from the entree, the staff was nice and let us try out salmon roe appetizers. I had two and the salmon roe was very crunchy. I loved how the juice came out immediately when I bit into the salmon roe. Overall, the food was very sophisticated and over the top. I was so happy and grateful to have try them out. Once again, I want to thank Morlene and Yelp for this well put together event. I want to go back to get more of their Czech lager! I also got a nice red scarf to end the night!

What a lovely Yelp Elite event at this classy, spacious 2 story brewery! We were upstairs, which had plenty of seating with tables and bar area. The interior was beautiful with high ceilings, areas of booth seating, cool lighting, deep wood and green color scheme. There was a welcoming vibe, helping transport us to another world and keeping us cozy and comfortable from the crazy thunderstorm. Upon entering, we were able to choose a beverage of our choice. I selected a Sparkling Shrub, flavored with Raspberry, Mint, and Lemon. This was light, bubbly, and refreshing. After being seated, we were served Kartoffelpuffer, a rectangular fried potato cake appetizer topped with crème fraiche, dill, scallions, and salmon roe. This was absolutely delicious and addicting. The hash brown style potato cake was satisfyingly crispy, while the savory cream, mingled with the toppings were fresh and well seasoned. Nick, the owner came out to introduce himself and we received a tour of the brewery. It was cool to see the shiny equipment and get a behind the scenes look at how beer is made. For the food, I shared a Bratwurst Dog and Falafel Dog with one of my table mates. I enjoyed the Brat Dog more, but the Falafel Dog was still tasty. The Brat was made in house with brioche bun, sauerkraut, scallions and mustard. The Brat was cooked perfectly, juicy, and full of flavor. The Falafel Dog came with tzatziki, hot sauce, pickled shallots, and herbs. This was seasoned well, though the falafel was a bit on the dry side. Dessert was Malted Chocolate Mousse, elegantly served in a pretty wine glass. The Chocolate Mousse came with a Malted Shortbread Cookie. The Chocolate Mousse was wonderfully rich and velvety smooth, with pure chocolate taste. The Shortbread Cookie was such a yummy bite. Much appreciation to Nick for opening up his establishment to us. Staff were all super hospitable and friendly! I will have to return, because there were additional dishes on the menu that looked so tempting, such as the Crispy Pork Belly, Lemon Pepper Wings (only on Wednesday), and Spaetzle Gratin. Huge thank you to Morlene, Peter (former Brooklyn CM made an appearance!), and Yelp for a wonderful evening!

Had such a great experience at Eckhart Beer Co.! I had the crispy pork belly, cucumber salad, smoked marinated olives, and the brat sandwich and everything was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. The pork belly was definitely a standout. I also tried a beer flight and really enjoyed every pour. You can tell they take their craft beer seriously. The brewery tour was another highlight and made the whole experience even more fun. Great atmosphere, great food, and great beer. I'll definitely be back! Thanks Morlene for another great Yelp event.

Great event! Great location. Very close to the L train. Good sign when the owner greets you and welcomes you in! I started off with an IPA. After Nick explained that they specialized in Czech and German beers, I realized I needed to try a flight. I enjoyed all the lagers I tried. The food was amazing! The falafel hotdogs was made with love! The dessert was delicious! It was chocolaty, creamy and crunchy! A great finish! I will definitely be back! The vibe is so chill!

An enjoyable Wednesday night out with wonderful people. Didn't even notice a thunderstorm happening! Upon entry, it was a brightly lit hall before the main space. Once we said we were part of the yelp event, we were informed to head upstairs. Upstairs was pretty open but somehow cozy. Bathroom is actually by the staircase, super convenient. After checking in, we headed over to the tap for some beer! Beer selection was pretty good and I went for the German Pilsner which was light and crisp. This was perfect for the night. We sipped our beer and had the chance to order food, while one half of us went on a brewery tour. The tour was short but informative (learning about the process, safety, and where the sugar comes from!) filled with tons of barrels. By the time the tour was over, our food was ready. I was "adventurous" and opted for the falafel dog but went 50/50 with another yelper for the brat dog. Don't think I've had falafel on brioche bread before and the result was a bit mixed. It was tasty but a bit dry despite the add-ins. Travis, our server was super receptive to the feedback like adding Sauer kraut like you would the brat dog and said that they're still tweaking it. I also appreciated the chocolate mousse dessert. It was a nice way to end the night. Thank you so much to the Eckhart Beer Team and Yelp team! Got a 4 pack to share the experience at home.

Great Yelp event. This was a great addition to my collection of Brooklyn brewing companies. I walked away with a great overview of their brewing process how they differ with their use of German and other European hops. And the space is really cool and open. The Brat Dog was amazing as were the lemon pepper and buffalo wings I took to go.

A restaurant and a brewery tucked together in one venue. That offers German and Czech lager beers along with the culinary experience enhancing the specialized beers here. It was a true niche experience and you can feel the hands-on detailed touches from the owner of this establishment. Along with the culinary experience, we also were given a grand tour of how IPAs and Lagers are made. And how the process is for Eckhart's beers are. It's a secret and what makes this business' beer to be one of the best beer products made in NYC. The main floor is well structured with a nice retro bar and restaurant dining space. As someone who has tasted many beers from various European countries, this is one of the closest in taste I've had to an authentic German lager. So much more food is offered here too and curious how the other offered items on the menu will compliment their specialized beers. Well done Eckhart. Until next time for sure.

So I came here a week before by accident and was greeted by the owner, because his greeting was so warm I stayed around for a brew and wings, no complaints on either. Fast forward a week later and this was a really dope event. You can feel the authenticity not just in the service and the food but also in the beer you drink. The owner is passionate about his brewery and I'm sure Eckhart will be a force soon. It is very nice inside and could be mistaken at first for a fine dining restaurant, I think that adds to the aura of this establishment. Definitely recommended and will be here again. 5 stars

Absolutely gorgeous brewery! Close to the trains and a walkable area in BK, Echart Beer Co is well located. From the outside you can't tell what's all inside but when you get in, the space is amazing. There is a lower and upper level and a bar area in the back. The spaces are well designed and you could totally host events there. We were greeted by the owner, who was so pleasant and nice. The event was upstairs, which over looks the bar area..the vibe was more than a brewery, it kinda felt fancy. First was a glass of beer. I had the Czech-style dark lager and it was the smoothest dark lager I've ever had. So light, cold and refreshing. I would go back just to try all the beer. The Czech - German style pour is definitely my style. For an app we were served a kartoffelpuffer with salmon roe, which was so crispy and tasty. I could have had several of those. As for the main I had the Brat dog, which is served on a brioche bun with kraut and mustard.. the bun was the star for me. It was tasted well and so buttery. The sausage was great but it was a little too soft. I like a sausage with a bit to it. And to end it off was the malted Chocolate Mousse which was by far the best ive ever had.. id go back just for that! There are so many things on the menu I would love to try. Definitely want to go back!

Five stars for Eckhart beer co, Nick, and Travis! You can really sense the passion and excitement into what goes into the beer and the establishment and it was contagious! They are very thoughtful about their details from the menu to how they've designed the space to be consistent with German and Czech beer Halls. I ordered an IPA and my thought to myself was this is very drinkable, compared to other IPAs and it made sense after Nick explained that they try to keep the ABVs low so that people can just take their time, hang out, have 4 pints and not get wasted. In other words, European beer culture. I also thought the food was quite good. I really like the potato puff with the roe and enjoyed the brat dog. I took a bite of someone else's falafel dog. I will say that was a bit dry, but still enjoyable maybe needs more toppings to make it a bit more moist or crispy. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Eckhart and can see myself coming back very soon!

When I joined Yelp Elite, this is exactly the kind of event I imagined going to. Huge shoutout to Morlene for putting together such a fun night that had a little bit of everything: free food, a tour, welcome swag when you walked in, and free drinks. This was one of those events you post on your Instagram story and immediately get hit with "wait... where is this?!"

This is my first yelp elite event. I was honestly pretty nervous about going to this event since I didn't really know anyone, but it turned out to be way better than I expected. Finally met the CM in person! The atmosphere was welcoming, everyone was friendly, and it was actually easy to start conversations. I ended up meeting some really cool people and had a genuinely good time. Definitely glad I pushed myself to go! I got complimentary yelp socks! Shortly after the event started, the owner brought us to brewer and explained the beer making process. He is very knowledgeable and used terms that is easy for everyone to understand. They had a bowl of salty mixed nuts to go with beers on each table. The small bites with rectangular potatoes topped with salmon row was delicious! I got a choice of brat dog. I love the toasted brioche bun! In my experience, the sauerkraut that I had were usually very "wet". The sauerkraut here has just the perfect amount of moisture and were "dryer" than the ones I had previously. The meat was also good! The chocolate mousse is smooth and creamy without being overly airy. It is giving rich and indulgent, almost like a ganache or pudding. The cookie that came with it is a perfect palate cleanser after finishing the mousse. I would love to visit again to try the other food!

Eckhart Brewery felt how the Yelp community feels: warm, personable, and intentional. It was so clear that owner Nick had such a passion for his craft and I was surprised by how interested I was to learn about the fermentation process. It certainly helped that I got to enjoy a giant mug of Svetle Special, a bready malt with hints of caramel, throughout the evening. After a lovely brewery tour, I was so pleased to return to a table of braut and it truly exceeded my expectations. I don't usually love sauerkraut, but something about the tanginess of this one really won me over. The crunch of the bun was truly perfect and I wish I had more than one! To round out the experience, we had a delicious bite of chocolate mousse, with some sea salt and oil drizzle that pulled out all the right flavors. The fact that it was a smaller portion made it that much more memorable and it was a great, light, sweet treat to finish up the meal. Thanks so much to Yelp, Morlene, and the Eckhart team for another great event.

Although try as hard as he might, he didn't get the Elite treatment since he's not even close to my level; I said this could be you one day! Walked right up to the counter and placed our orders with minimal issues in deciding what to go for. I opted to claim my chicken spring roll, a smoked beef brisket pho, and a Vietnamese cold coffee to stay. These three items where under $30 all together, and was grateful to get to be a part of this YEE experience! Shoutout to the Brooklyn Yelp Team! The chicken spring roll was bouncy, and the chicken inside looked like a chicken wing; very visually satisfying. The peanut dipping sauce was very flavorful and deep in umami. A great addition to the meal; highly recommend! I couldn't get over how packed my beef brisket pho was! I've been to some places that have way more broth than the noodles ratio, and this place made it 1:1. It was such a comforting bowl to have on such a damp fall day; really happy with the depth of the broth. How could vegan beef broth be so good?!?! What else blew me away was my coworker's vegan chicken in his pho. It tasted EXACTLY like chicken! Great texture and plenty of meat in every noodley bite! The Vietnamese cold coffee was also a very pleasant first time surprise! I've never had it before, and loved how refreshing, light, and sweet it was! It really would be lovely to have on a super hot and humid day, that's for sure. Great depth of flavor in the coffee itself with Lucy's adorable packaging. You get a really big portion that is very much worth what you pay, not to mention the smoked brisket is so TENDER, you'll fall in love. I also saved my Vietnamese Coffee (comes bottled as shown) for the next morning and it was SO TASTY. Not overly sweet but still very addicting. Revived my morning. Between the tea or the coffee- go for the coffee. 10/10 experience, I'm excited now to try all the variations on their menu!

I came here around noon and the place haven't been filled up yet but that was truly toward my benefit as my waiter, Jeff was extra attentive (yay me!). After making all my choices, he complimented and said I made good choices and whether if that was true or not, it made me felt happy. Lol. All of the food portion were huge. I ordered their wings as my appetizer, shrimp/bacon taco for entrée and tres leche for dessert. With that they also offered me some fresh fried taco with homemade salsa that was really delicious and made me wanting more even though I had to pace myself. Presentation wise, it was all instagramable. They restaurant is very conscious about presentation so that was a huge plus. As for taste, it was all good. I especially enjoy my shrimp/bacon taco as it was huge and those trio-side sauce (hot sauce, green sauce and pumpkin sauce) was just outright slamming. As for portion it was larger then life, especially for one person. Honestly I think it could feed two people as I ended up taking half of it home. Overall, I enjoyed myself, felt really relaxed, enjoyed their playlist and especially my waiter, Jeff that help tied my experience with Tiny Cantina in nicely. After hearing presentations from some members of the corporate team it was clear that the event was organized to promote restaurants in the area, as well as Yelp's reservation platform. What was really awesome is that Yelp also donated $250 for every restaurant that had a representative show up to City Harvest, which is New York City's largest food rescue organization, feeding the more than 1.2 million New Yorkers who are struggling to put meals on their tables. They also had a great spread for us to enjoy! Chicken skewers, a diverse cheese platter, and marinated beef made for some savory snacks. They also had a selections of beverages for people to enjoy while browsing throughout the space. Overall a really unique and interesting event! I'll be excited to see if they try this out for different neighborhoods, but until then thanks Ruggy and staff for another memorable Yelp event!

And special thanks to Blend for inviting us to celebrate Latinx heritage month. It was quite difficult for me to get here but after I reached this place I got excited. I was the first one & didn't realize there was a sign on the door stating to use the other entrance lol..! I am so thankful for a kind soul like her. If there was another Yelper didn't see me & asked me I would be waiting there until I have realized something was wrong, silly ME..! So we finally went inside & I was in love with the decor. Felt like staying there for ever & make some Tiktok.. haha! The checking in process was fast & on point. The restaurant is pretty big & nicely organized. So it didn't felt like too crowded while being there. DJ was playing great music, the staff were good & very helpful. Altho I can't eat any meat products there but they had enough options for me to actually eat some food. And I so appreciate the effort. I tried the sushi, corn , shrimp. I was also able to get a mock tail to try & it was good. I wish I could stay longer but I have a long commute to go back to the island & also have work early in the morning. But I was able to have extra fun taking some fun pictures ! Thank you Julie & the staff for taking them. I wanna thank Yelp, Blend for this amazing event. The food was excellent, had a great time. Btw, I did make two new friends, so that was a plus.

There were prices for different items displayed in more than one spot, and not on just one menu. I decided to just order off the top of my head since I couldn't figure it out. In addition to the Hood Healer and Lentil soup I received, as a Yelp Elite, I ordered some tea. The place reminded me of the type of spot that is local, and ancestral, and kind of like -- just ask and see what is available. It gives a small town feel, in a sense. There are books for sale, which was delightful and the books seemed to be titles of varying genres, all fairly priced. The service was excellent, quick and efficient. And very helpful and very friendly. Now that I think of it, the spot could have been a cafe in Diagon Alley (IYKYK). But on the good side of things. I couldn't see inside of the small window from where I ordered my food, but I'm pretty sure there was some sort of magic going on back there based on how tasty the lentil soup was, in addition to the Hood Healer, which after taking one sip, I said, "mmm" out loud. Both the soup and drink were excellent and perfectly seasoned. I could feel the effort that was put into both items and it felt like it was made on the spot from all natural ingredients. I was very pleasantly surprised.

MiyKey, Chui, Aiden, and Christos created a welcoming environment sharing the consultation process, how they stencil, and we even got a live demo. We also learned about the epic history of the shop while enjoying some Dirty Water Hard Seltzer and Egg Tarts. All around neat experience. Thanks, Katey!

I went to redeem my 7th Street Burger before the event and it was the perfect beginning of the fun night! I was the first person to arrive and was told to wait outside. The event started about 10 minutes late. We were treated with Portuguese egg tarts + dirty water upon arrival. It was a sweet treat and I had never had an egg tart before so it was a nice introduction into trying an egg tart. Upon arrival of the tattooers, we started the event with learning about the history of the tattoo shop and the people involved in making the shop what it is today. It was definitely interesting to learn about. All the tattoo artists were super passionate about what they do and it really showed. They were all so nice too. I enjoyed talking to them and mingling with fellow Yelpers. Thank you Yelp and Katey, for this fun event!!
