Perfect summer weather deserves Al fresco dining. STK has a fantastic courtyard. It's recessed far away from the 6th Ave. traffic so it's quite peaceful. I prepared my back of a standing-only event but there was lots of seating. I also expected to leave hungry but there were some hefty sliders and two were plenty. The potato croquettes were really good as well. STK did a great job with the cocktails. They all were on the sweet side but the watermelon one had a really nice spice to balance it. The cucumber one was my favorite. Nice and refreshing. The STK staff were friendly and attentive. I wish I had gone inside to see if the photos do it justice. But it was too beautiful outside to go indoors. Thanks Katey for a fantastic event and great swag! The Yelp fan will be getting lots of use.

We absolutely lucked out with a perfect NYC summer night to have an outdoors Yelp Elite event! STK's patio area was a perfect setting for the medium sized Yelp crowd who gathered here. As it was crazy crowded inside, Katey, her crew, and the STK gang made the switch to have our party al fresco. Terrific decision as there was a cool breeze, low humidity, and a clear cooler evening compared to recent horrible weather. Tables were decorated with fun Yelp branded swag to take home - mini battery powered fans, matchbooks, sunglasses, keychains. Areas with tables, chairs, and high tops. An assortment of cocktails, wine, and beer were available and we were given drink tickets when checking in. Two per person but lets say they were very generous above that if you stuck around. For eats they had trays of delicious tuna poke mini tacos, huge shrimps, tomato & cheese skewers, jumbo soft tater tots, wagyu beef sliders, truffle fries, beef egg rolls, all yummy! The initial rush to the food wiped out some things quickly but if you were patient they replenished the trays. More than enough food for all. Food, drinks, service, fun conversation, and awesome chill vibe made this a wonderful way to spend a Thurs night. Big props to the nice staff and management at STK for hosting us, and to CM Katey and the Yelp crew for setting this up. Had a really nice time chatting with some OG Yelpers and meeting some new friends.

I'm always a big fan of mingling Yelp events as it's so fun to get to know other foodies in the area, so I had a blast at this event! The outdoor event at STK was held during amazing weather and there was abundant food and drinks. Although I didn't try the drinks, from everyone that I heard from, they were really good. There were a good amount of food options here: from shrimp cocktail and tuna tartare tacos to sliders and fries to tater tots and short rib wraps. Favorite of the night were their short rib wraps but everything was so delicious. I loved how there were both high tables to connect with others as well as tables for sitting. Everyone was so social, inviting, and friendly--it was genuinely so fun to get to know one another and (of course) chat about the best food spots in the city. I also loved the Yelp merch that was given out at this events--I will definitely be using their cute fan in this sweltering summer weather. Thank you so much Katey and the rest of the Yelp team(!!) for organizing this event as always.

I had a lovely time at this Elite Event. As it was my first, I initially planned to quickly get food and leave, unsure how the crowd would be. Well, I ended up staying until the end, enjoying myself more than I anticipated. This event was originally set indoors but plans changed and we were seated outside. This turned out to be a happy change, as I did prefer enjoying the beautiful weather we were having that day. The food and drinks were wonderful. The pink margarita was sweet and not too boozy, so was the white wine. The shrimp cocktail was plump and fresh, as well as the salmon sashimi nestled in a crispy shell made of root vegetable (taro, perhaps?). The cheesy beef patties wrapped in tortilla were delicious, so were the parmesan truffle fries. The burger was lovely as well, although the cook seemed inconsistent: Some patties were well done, some medium, some rare. Oh, I should mention that I liked the swag this time around, particularly the battery-operated handheld fans. What a perfect thing to have in the summer! Overall, I enjoyed this entire Elite experience, so much so that I already look forward to the next mixer. Thank you Katie for organizing and STK Midtown for hosting!

Overall: 5 stars Yelp Elite events are always a fun gathering of food enthusiasts so I'm thrilled that I was invited to the happy hour this summer at STK Midtown, thanks to Katie at @yelpnyc and @eatstk for hosting! This event features some of their best bites, from their crisp truffle fries that is captivating with that truffle oil aroma to their fun bite sized tuna tartare served on a crisp root vegetable. The drinks were even more fun with a bartender that mastered the cocktail hour from fun vibrant drinks such as the strawberry cobbler that had an intriguing graham cracker crust, to a spicy watermelon drink that is all perfect for the summer. While this event was hosted outdoors to take advantage of the summer weather, the interior is a completely different vibe with a live DJ and much more. Very fun event! Shoutouts to Katey and the rest of the Yelp crew for throwing this great event! This was actually my first time at STK and I really enjoyed the experience. The service was attentive and efficient- shoutouts to the bartender for the extra pours of the cucumber cooler . The cucumber cooler was my absolute favorite drink as it was quite strong but delicious. All the food bites were tasty as well. I loved the shrimp cocktail as well as the tater tots! Overall, it was great connecting with other Yelpers and I'm excited to add STK to my happy hour rotation!

Thanks Yelp team, Katey, and STK for such a great event. I've been to this STK location before, food is always delicious, love their happy hour specials and brunch menu too. I usually dine inside, but this event was held outdoors and the weather was so perfect. For cocktails, I had the cucumber stiletto and strawberry cobbler, both drinks were refreshing, I personally enjoyed the cucumber stiletto more. Some yummy bites I tried were the jalapeño shrimp cocktail, mini burgers, fries, tater tots, tuna tartare tacos, and short rib quesadillas. My personal favorites were the shrimp cocktail and short rib quesadilla. The mini burgers were also very good but the buns were a little dry. It was great to meet and connect with fellow Yelp elites, everyone was super nice and friendly. Such a fun time on a Thursday evening.

My first visit to STK, I'm familiar with this chain from Atlanta. However, I've never dined until Manhattan Yelp ambassador Katey G. Organized this summer dinner experience. I'm elated as ever connecting with other Yelp elite members. The food was decent, the staff were very accommodating, and friendly. We dined outside, on a very nice day with swag gifts of portable fans, Sun shades, and key chains. There were two drink vouchers for the wet bar, yet I don't drink so I gave mines away. The staff gave me ginger beer and my Yelp associates mock tails. The food bar was light bites mentioned in photos. I like the potato croquet the most. I expected the burger to be better yet it was just ok. Over al, l this was a nice dinner event. I still recommend dining here.

Thanks Yelp and STK Midtown for another great event! The outdoor seating is very nice in the fine weather. The tuna taco and gigantic tater tots are fire and I can't have enough of them! The cocktails all look really nice and well suited for a summer evening. I had the spiced watermelon and loved the freshness with a kick of spice. The Sauvignon Blanc is also well picked for the weather and occasion. The Yelp electric fan is such a cute souvenir to bring home. So glad to also finally be in an in person event to meet all the fellow friendly Yelpers. Can't wait for another event!

This was such a great way to spend a breezy, non humid, summer evening in NYC... STK (and Yelp) hosted us on their huge outdoor patio. They had a private section with tables, bar, food and merch. The setup outside made it easy to meet fellow Yelpers and enjoy the experience. I was one of the first people to arrive so once they checked me in, I grabbed a table with a few other people. I think I was expecting food to be passed around, but quickly caught on that they had an amazing selection stationed for us just outside of the patio area. By the time I made it to the short line, they ran out of food, but quickly replenished it all, so I was able to taste everything. At events like this, I like to get my food first so I don't have to juggle my plate, plus a glass. The staff was friendly and attentive. food: tuna tartare taro chip tacos, shrimp cocktail, sliders, truffle fries, tater tots (yummy jumbo mashed potato croquette), short rib mini quesadillas. A great variety and everything was delish. drinks: strawberry cobbler, cucumber stiletto, spiced watermelon, prosecco, wine ... drinks were all poured ahead of time, so my drinks were a little warm. I really liked the Cucumber Stiletto, very refreshing, tart (just needed to be colder). Fun merch: powered fans, sunglasses, matches STK is convenient to Grand Central, Times Square, Bryant Park. Not far from the SE corner of 43rd/6th Avenue. I look forward to visiting STK in the future for happy hour or dinner. Thank you STK, Katey, Emily and the rest of the Yelp team. Lovely way to enjoy the Yelp community!

Phenomenal event! Thank you Katey!! Food was great. Loved the flatbread especially and shrimp cocktail was delicious. Ive heard their steaks are delicious. Set up outside is really cool. Nice setup in a shaded area for nice days out. Shoutout yelp for the swag, which will absolutely be used. The folks at my table were amazing and i look fw to more events!

Fun outdoor event with lots of drinks and small bites. Mingled with a lot of Yelpers (shoutout women's table!!) and had a fun time. Drinks: - Strawberry cobbler: very sweet! Tastes strongly of a strawberry syrup with a fun graham cracker rim. A little sweet for me personally but I could see this being a highlight for some. - Cucumber mint: also on the sweeter side. Very refreshing for the summer! Food: - Tuna taco: very creative with an interesting shell! Loved the squeezable soy sauce marinade on top. - Crispy potato bite: so good! Usually not a fan of potato dishes but this one was done very nicely- crispy exterior, soft interior and well seasoned. - Sliders: great patty, get a strong whiff of truffle oil. The bun was a little dry but overall lots of flavor. - Shrimp cocktail: a classic for a cocktail event! - Beef quesadilla: fun bite, lots of flavor. A little salty for me but goes well with the drinks. Thank you Yelp NYC and STK for putting on this event!! What a warm welcome to the city :)

A popular spot for happy hour in midtown. We were lucky to enjoy drinks & bites with outdoor seating. Two drink tickets were generous. Tried the strawberry cobbler. Sweet, dessert like drink with a cookie crumble rim. The spicy watermelon tequila drink was strong. Bites included mini burgers, shrimp, gator tots, and fries. I only tried the truffle fries and tots. These were a nice snack with the drinks. Staff were friendly and quick with clearing tables. Yelp also had cool mini fans for us, sunglasses, and match boxes. The fan and glasses are perfect for summer!

We even hit up a bourbon tasting class where one who shall remain nameless pretty much spilled everything onto her crotch. I even bought a viking helmet hat to wear. Drunken fun times! The food lines were another story - ridiculously long and slow moving. Sure, I had some decent pulled pork from one stand right out of a pig carcass, but the best was from the Kloby's BBQ booth where the line was the longest. Gotta give it to Monique R for holding her ground on that long line amid some drunken fools and line cutters to secure a few plates of amazingly tasty hush puppies, pulled pork and coleslaw sandwiches, and pork rib wings. Worth the wait even though it cut into our drinking time, but we needed to eat something to help soak up all the alcohol. Our group had a great time. There were so many terrific beers and bourbons on hand. Many of the staff would even fill your tasting glass to the brim. All you could consume for four hours - wonderful or insanity - it's all how you look at it. So worth it when paying half price, 2 for 1 tickets, or discounted tickets. You have to be a noob to pay full price for any of these events as there are always offers on different websites with big discounts. But to charge $3 for the coat check is kind of a money grab, even though it was nice to ditch our heavy winter gear. We came, we drank, we ate pork, we pillaged and plundered. Looking forward to doing it all over again next year. Oh, and kids, here's a tip for you all. When you are totally blasted outta your mind on bourbon and beer it's not really a great time for an Italian-Norwegian to fight with your Russian-Polish fiance' out on the street. There is just too much stubborn hard headedness in that combination for any good to come out of it.

A great event if you enjoy beer, bourbon, barbecue or all 3! You get unlimited food and alcohol for…read more4 hours at either session you go to. Like every food tasting event you go to in NYC, get there early and hit up all the food lines before they get really long later on (usually 2 hrs in). Plus you need food to soak all the alcohol you're going to drink. The highlight of the night was definitely the whole hog. They also have brisket, pork belly, bacon, fried chicken/waffles, wings, bread pudding, and cornbread. There were definitely more beer vendors than bourbon vendors. The beers were mainly local from New York and East Coast breweries. I liked the high end bourbons since they went down smoother and didn't totally burn my throat. You will definitely eat and drink enough in the time so then you go home to pass out from barbecue coma.
