Cherise is the greatest. As soon as I walked into her clean, airy lash studio I was enveloped by her cheery, welcoming persona. I've had lashes before and wasn't super thrilled with the application or how long they held up, so I did extensive research to find the best possible place this time around. Cherise and I discussed what length of lashes I'd like, and how dramatic I'd like them to be and we got down to business. As Yelp had been featuring a deal for $60 for $100 I decided to go for the second longest lash extension option, which I believe was marketed as $349 (for the synthetic Xtreme lashes). Maybe pricier than your $60 Ktown job, but definitely worth the value. She laid me down on her super comfy massage bed and set to work (after applying a cooling undereye strip to hold down my bottom lashes and removing my makeup). During the middle of the application I had to use the bathroom, and she told me to check out the lashes while I was there to see if I wanted them any longer or curlier. I did want a little more length and drama, so she added longer lashes for the last half. These lashes have lasted over 4 weeks and look INCREDIBLE. They are so natural looking and have held up through a week trip to Miami (during which I swam in the ocean, pool, went on a super windy airboat ride in the everglades, etc) and then back at home through excessive heat, more beach trips, and daily super sweaty work outs. I also haven't felt the need to use mascara or strip lashes since I've gotten these extensions applied. I will DEFINITELY be coming back for refills, great conversation, and laughter. Had a really nice experience. Went here when the previous place I went to couldn't accommodate me. Researched on yelp, etc and decided to ale the leap and try it out. I booked via the online appointment system (which was pretty convenient...and bonus don't have to deal with the phone...yeah I'm lazy), showed up and explained what I was seeking. The environment is really clean and calm and she definitely knows what she's doing. My lashes looked SUPER natural (almost a little too natural for me personally because I wanted a little more drama, which she noted for my follow up). Cherise is the best. I am not really generous with giving out praise on Yelp. I figured Yelp is a place where people can be warned before they spend their money. However, I was really pleasantly surprised. Con - The price. Yes, this is not your $50 treatment. I got my first full set and it was $250. So it's not cheap. - Afterwards, you will take a little more care in washing your face. Pros - Cherise is really attentive. She will give you exactly what you ask for. I asked for natural looking lashes that look better than my biological lashes since I'm paying $250... I was more than satisfied. My short eyelashes that point down are much longer, fuller, and curl up naturally. I've already had compliments about my eyes and all that has changed is that now I have these extensions. [The difference. Even if I don't put on makeup, someone compliments me on my makeup... Of course, the guy cannot tell when a girl wears foundation or not. But The eyelashes definitely look like I used mascara and an eyelash curler and came out perfect. :)] - After-service: So after 48 hours, I had some issues with the inner corner lashes. Like 1/4 of my right eye lash extensions had fallen out. And since it had just been in the inner corner, it was more noticeable as the next lashes were longer. I don't know why and I believe it was an anomaly. I was really unhappy as I had gone the full 48 hours without showering, etc. When I contacted Cherise, she added me in within two days and reattached the corner lashes with stronger glue for free. Conclusion - For me the benefits outweighed the price and I am now a fan of lash extensions. I also figured that considering how much it is saving me in time and boosting my confidence, it's well worth it. The touch ups are more priced reasonably. read more

1. I hate mascara. I've never found one I am 100% happy with or one that's really worth the insane amount of money. 2. I am a self-proclaimed eye rubber. A terrible one. Especially when I'm tired. 3. I am NOT an I-must-walk-out-of-the-house-at-all-times-with-full-makeup-on type of girl. By the graces of Bloomspot I purchased a certificate for The Sultry (oh la la, Mink lashes) at Elite. I was pleased to see that I could book my appointment online which made the transaction all the more convenient. The day of my early Saturday appointment, I received a courtesy call an hour prior letting me know that my technician would be running late (I was too, but that's besides the point). It was nice to be notified ahead of time and not when I walked in the door. Conveniently located, the studio is a small unassuming space, very comfortable, clean and simple. There are two main service rooms that are very cozy. Four words: Cherise is the bomb. Incredibly personable, she met me as soon as I got off the elevator, helped me settle in, told me what to expect and then we got started on the two hour appointment. Not only did we have a wonderful chat session, I LOVE the results. The lashes are perfectly placed, not heavy, not overdone and they should last for about a month before a touch-up is needed. I'm sold. The procedure itself was rather relaxing, no pain, and I was actually rather curious to see what was going on, but of course, didn't make anyone come along to sit with me for two hours (HA). I'm all-in-all extremely pleased and would definitely go back. The full set of lashes at this level have a very high price point but you definitely pay for quality and expertise. I was very pleased with Cherise's knowledge, expertise and gentle technique when handling my lashes. I have tried various lash applications including individual and doll lash clusters but none have compared to the full set which Cherise called "Glam". They look very natural and she even had me sit up halfway through to make sure I was happy with how they were turning out. I had one bad experience with application and she was sure to make sure I was satisfied. I will be returning every 2-3 weeks for fills. (Overall they have stayed in place but due to salt water on vacation for 4 days, I think I'm experiencing more loss in lashes than average... I have been getting my lashes done since 2006 and first off, I think it is absolutely ridiculous that this place/ owner charges for time. Meaning, she puts only a few for less time and doesn't fill every lash. I emailed her of this problem and she claimed since it was a certain time, that is the job you pretty much get done. Honestly, she gave me a bad taste in my mouth of this town and how they do lashes to where I travel outside of Boston to get perfection done because the place I go to do their job and not by time. I've been doing my lashes with Cherise for the past month now and she's been a lifesaver because my lashes were always down and really low and nothing would do the job to get them curled NOTHING I've tried everything possible. But when I found out about Elite Lash Studio I was all in it. I booked my appointment right away! I moved to Boston and was in desperate need of extensions . I tried out a place in Boston and they fell out two days later. I was very disappointed because i was used to getting THE BEST extensions from my girl in NY. Cherise is fantastic-- she listened to my needs, was sweet (not to mention funny) and even took extra time to make adjustments after the procedure was done. I don't know what the above poster meant about Cherise charging extra time-- because with me she spent a large amount of time (no charge) to get exactly what I wanted. I'm a student so the extensions are very expensive for me, BUT if it means that I'll get exactly what I want and they last, its worth it.
