The two technicians assigned to do the installation, Felix and Larry, were very professional, knowledgeable, and easy to get along with. They knew what they were doing and it showed in the quality of their work. What I was particularly impressed with was their ability to come up with creative solutions for the wiring of both the intercom and the elevator keypad. Some vendors we contacted were reluctant to bid on the project because of the challenges involved, especially with the elevator keypad installation. I can see why Guardian Angel gets such great reviews on Yelp. I would not hesitate to use them again.

A young Armenian guy came by and brought his tools. I told him my situation and the door being…read morelocked. He just looked at it and told be it will be $250 to have it unlocked. He didn't check to see if the broken key can be remove. He just grab out his drill and ready to just drill it through the keyhole. For $250 I expect him to put in some kind of effort to have it open without destroying the lock. I refused the service and this is when he begins to bargain with me. I told him it was a lot for just drill out the lock. He didn't even attempt to pull the door or ask if I have the other broken key. He called his boss if the price can be lower. He said $220, $200, $170, $150 plus service fee. I told him I won't need his service anymore and would pay his service fee. He sat their and said "do you think this job will be free?" I told him no and here's is your service fee for coming out here. Right before he packed his tool he throw me a final offer of $100. I still refuse. I paid him the service fee and he left with disappointment. In the end I use a dime and turn the lock and it open. The broken key is jammed inside but it could be turn just by any dime size tool. It just needed to be turn. If your going to fork out $250 to have it unlocked he better be putting some effort to earn that $250. Drilling it through is too easy. Bargaining by the price sound like a buy a car. This place I do not recommend at all. It should be name "We drill or we go"

He maintained clear communication with me throughout the entire time he was onsite and explained what work was feasible versus not as well as provided alternative recommendations. There was no "upselling," so another star for that. Prices are for the most part reasonable. However, beware, they charge an upfront of $95 callout fee, which I was not informed about initially when I was scheduling the service appointment. The lack of transparency on this was the only part that left a bit of a sour note for me. I'd use their service again though.

He offers a wide range of services for keys & locks on commercial, residential, and auto with years of expertise. He is responsive, and timely. Actually showed up earlier to fix door lock for my brother's broken latch, thumb press, springs, & door lock. I suggest you text him photos of issue in advance for proper analysis. See the sad BEFORE pics for broken springs & latch.. Joesph gave a reasonable & competitive quote, especially when prices have inflated everywhere. He also accepts credit card payments, but cash is best to support him as a small business owner. Given the challenges with the preexisting drilled hole in the door, he was able to get creative & install the brand new Kwikset after the initial Schlage replacement brand didn't fit correctly. He adjusted the door hinges & tightened the exterior base border as a courtesy. He also made extra copies of the keys. Extremely knowledgeable & kind. Works very hard & cares to make needed repairs properly. He kept going back & forth to his vehicle to grab all the necessary tools & parts. He also tested the duplicates to ensure it was working. Also, the fake Yelpers with the invalid horrible 1 star reviews are wrongfully trying to sabotage his business. This should be reported to Yelp as fake & completely out of character to his other validated stellar 5 star reviews. Just awful when Joseph relies upon his reputation & professionalism. I couldn't open the doors, so frustrating. Finally, on my 20th call, I found Westhills Lock. Ami is an "old school antique key expert," and makes the key in his van at your location. AND very reasonable. He's told me he is also called to make keys for old cars, really the only one around that can make these keys. Kind of a "treasure" to have in our community.
