Disappointing "Toe Date" at Elite I called a day in advance to make an appointment for two pedicures. Things started off on a good note -- we arrived on time and were seated immediately. The salon itself is a bit dated in appearance, but it seemed clean and tidy. Once seated, the technicians got straight to work soaking our feet, which was fine, but oddly enough, they never asked us what kind of pedicure we wanted. I figured maybe they'd ask once they got going -- but nope, never happened. They rushed through the service, and it really showed. My technician barely cleaned the soles of my feet -- maybe 3 or 4 quick scrubs and she was done. I was honestly thankful I didn't opt for an upgrade, because if this was the standard, I can only imagine how sad the premium service might be. The whole appointment, including drying time, took about 20 minutes. To top it off, my technician completely forgot about me in the chair after polishing my toes and moved on to her next client. I ended up deciding my toes were dry enough and put my own sandals on. In today's super expensive world, I don't make it to the salon as often, so when I treat myself -- and in this case, my husband too -- I expect it to be a relaxing, quality experience. Unfortunately, today was neither. I won't be back to Elite, and I'd caution others unless you're looking for a drive-through pedicure. The most disappointing part...I am pretty sure my technician was the owner. And in my experience, when the owner is rushing people in and out, that speaks volumes. read more

I like going there. The ladies are so sweet and very accommodating. They always get it right when I show them pictures of what I want. However I don't like that they don't put bags on the area where my feet go in. It makes me wonder how clean it really is. In addition, the tools they use on my toes do not seem like they are constantly being cleaned. This is why I gave them 3 stars. If they were more concerned about sanitation and cleanliness I would give them 5 stars read more

My friend made appointments for mani/pedi's for our bridal party. The lady that did my manicure kept insisting I get gel. I kindly told her no thank you because even though I like gel I feel it ruins my nails. She asked me more than 3 times and then said the regular would chip quickly in less than a day. I felt she was doing this to be able to charge more. She was rushing because my party was waiting even though we had appointments. We weren't in a hurry but it felt like they were. They kept accepting walk-ins while we were there. She then cut me as she was trimming the cuticle. She dismissed it and kept working. I told her it hurt and if she could be gentle. I was trying not to make a scene because my fried was the bride and wanted it to be special for her. When she went to the other hand and almost cut a second time, I pulled away and asked her if she was in a hurry. I told her we could stop because she was hurting me. At this point she apologized and began to speak under her breath. Who knows what she said but it made me feel like she was bothered by me. It's been 3 days since this event and my finger still hurts. My cuticles were over cut and my fingers feel raw. I don't recommend this place, it's not worth it. The prices are cheap and they accept walk-ins but I will never go back. read more

This is the best salon I have found overall for a pedicure. I live in Santa Clarita but will make my way to Elite when visiting my daughter in Chula Vista. They always make me feel welcome and are so friendly. There's a really nice vibe and the salon is nice and light, clean and pleasantly decorated. The massage chairs are good quality and work well. They do a really nice and quick pedicure without skimping on any of the process, including the massage of feet and legs. The extra callus removal is reasonably priced and effective without being too rough in the scrubbing like at other salons I've been to. Application of nail polish is awesome, not too thick or thin. It lasts a long time. I feel very pampered every time which is the whole point, right?! read more

Definitely not coming back Got acrylic overlay and asked for a manicure well before the acrylic was put on. She said I'll do that later. Fine but confused, usually it's done before. Acrylic overlay is fine. When she did the manicure, didn't even let my nail soak, she just shook my fingers around in the water then clipped away cutting me 6 times. Some of the acrylic is already lifting a little on the sides so I know it's gonna break. Needless to say. I'm in the middle of my scheduled, lemme say that again, scheduled appointment. And my nails aren't even painted, and I'm sitting at the pedicure chair waiting for my pedicure. They left my appointment completely to take walk-in's. They don't schedule themselves properly and just ditch whose made an appointment. I'm still currently in the middle of my appointment and am ready to just say forget the pedicure and leave. Really disappointed. Never had service like this at other salons in the area. Now that my appointment is over, let's add to this. My one finger had been cut and by the time they went to paint my nails, Mind you it was an hour later, I had a scab on two of them. I ask the young lady to wipe away the remaining blood before they painted my nails, and not just paint over it like she wanted to. Gross. She then tried to wipe it away but it wouldn't. Fine. She then proceeded to CLIP MY SKIN MORE so it just bled. She kept wiping and wiping it so of course it kept bleeding. After about the 20th time of wiping it in between painting the nail I just asked her to stop touching the nail or the cut and to leave it alone since at this point my finger is swelling and irritated. I didn't even let her paint my toes I was so mad. I just said a clear coat and walked out. They are not following COVID regulations. No temp was taken upon arrival, chairs and stations not wiped down between or before each customer, and items they used during your manicure or pedicure were not new. Pretty sure they used the same items on my toes/feet that they did for the 2 others before me. Disgusting. Yes I should have spoken up and said no, but the pedicure was over before it even started. I am writing this review based on eyelashes alone! KRISTINA DOES AN AMAZING JOB! The picture I took is one week after she did my lashes. Usually when I get my lashes done from other artists ,even the most expensive ones, they're already missing spots after a week. Kristinas lashes are the single ones, not the lashes that have 3 on one strand that make your eye look full but when it falls out you have a big gap. These lashes are AMAZING! Came in everything was all protected for the safety of the employees and the customers so I felt safe and comfortable. Was greeted right away and literally sat for less than 5 minutes before being seated. LET ME TELLLLL YOU - D IS THE BEST!!!! I've never had a nail technician do my nails so perfectly and precise af. It literally took a little more than an hour but he took his time and paid so much attention to the detail and what I specifically asked for he exceeded in every way!!! Actually above and beyond to be exact. These bad boys are extremely sharp and all of my nails look identical and beautiful!!! After she was so rough with my fingers they were so sore after an HR. Then when she was filling the acrylic to be smooth she cut me on my cuticles with the drill gun which I started bleeding and I said "oh that hurt" she said nothing? Second time coming here for a mani-pedi, and I love my nails! I came in on a Saturday for my 10 am appointment and was seated right away (as soon as I finished picking a color). Kim did a great job on my nails, and I really love the color!! My mother is a regular here, so when she came in around 11:30, most of the staff greeted her warmly and even complimented her new hair style. *update Came in a couple days later to get my eyebrows waxed and never going again for eyebrows. I told the lady (this is a different lady) to clean it up and not make it thin and she basically took off half of my eyebrows!! My brows are UNEVEN and super thin, and she told me that I "didn't have a shape before" so she "shaped it" and now my ends are completely scarce, especially my left eyebrow.
