Was talking to a lovely lady sitting next to me and was not paying attention.....looked down and was not the right color! Not even close! I wanted a pink color and this was brown. I'm sorry but this isn't even close....one of the 3 people started talking to the other nail tech in there language ( i have the translator ear buds) let's just say she was out of pocket and out of line! Go somewhere else! Probably the worst manicure I ever received. It's lumpy and bumpy and uneven. There is polish all over my cuticles, the nails are all different shapes and I asked the woman THREE times to make my left hand nails shorter - as they weren't the same length as my right hand - and she never did it. I kept asking. The nails were not smooth and had frayed ends and jagged corners. I finally gave up and accepted that I was getting a bad manicure. After it was over, I complained. Two of the other women working there agreed that it looked really bad. I asked for my money back and they refused. They only offered to fix it. I was only in town for four hours to visit my mom. I told them I had no time to do that and then they said, "Well that's on you." I was dumbfounded. 1) WHY would I trust them to fix it on the second try when they couldn't get it right on the first try? 2) I had no time. I had already given them an hour and a half of my four hours in town. 3) I'm stuck with this manicure for at least two weeks because we know that removing gels is really bad for your nails and you can't do it two days in a row. We each had a pedicure, I received a full- dip set for my hands, my daughter got the basic manicure, and we both had our lips and eyebrows waxed. The gentleman who handled my hands and feet, Henry, could not have been any nicer or professional. His work was flawless. The entire facility was imbecilely clean, and the rest of the staff was very pleasant throughout our entire visit. I came here just to try a different nail salon..I was really happy with the length that he cut them too. I didn't want them to let no nor too short. I got gel and the guy put 6 coats on and it looked really uneven I showed him the nails that I wasn't happy with and he put another coat on. Then I wanted to get my toe nails done with gel to match my nails. I told him that at the very beginning and he said no problem. When they were ready to do my toes he told me they couldn't do gel the only way I could get gel was to have a pedicure done I didn't want that. All I wanted was my toe nails painted and the design put on. That didn't even turn out the good. I wasn't too happy with my experience. They are really expensive too for what I had done it costed me $85. Definitely not worth the money read more

I love that they have an appointment system that they stick to! You typically don't have to wait at all if you have an appointment. I can usually call that morning and easily get in with my favorite lady. You have a specific box which makes it feel even more clean. Everyone is so nice and service is always wonderful. The leg/foot massage that comes with the basic pedicure is amazing. Appointment system and massage is why they are my one and only choice for mani/pedi. I typically just get the regular pedicure and manicure and I'm always happy with the quality of work. I always feel relaxed and pretty leaving! First timers, please note that they only accept tips in cash; you cannot write it in on your card. You can of course pay for services with a card. Another tip, if you don't have the best experience on the first try, don't rule it out. I believe the massage quality and skill varies every so slightly between the ladies. When you make an appointment, you can make it with the lady you want. I didn't request anyone in particular for the first few times until I found who I liked the best. read more

Instead of soaking my nails for a few minutes and gently removing the gel polish, they aggressively attempted to scrape off my polish and then proceeded to use the power drill filer to sand off my nail beds. I stopped the manicure immediately and just had my nails cut and filed with no polish. The cut and file was jagged and not neat, each of my nails are different lengths and my nail beds are extremely sore. They didn't clean out from under my nails. I then asked for a massage to try and take the edge off of the horrible manicure. What followed was the most uncomfortable massage I have ever received which they convinced me to get "15" minutes instead of ten before they started and they didn't use a timer; i'd be surprised if they spent 10 minutes. They shouldn't offer massages if they are that terrible and they don't have a massage chair. they charged me $35 to not get my nails done. read more

This place was okay. I got an eyebrow and lip wax done today. The waxing room was kind of dirty. The sheet that covered the wax bed had not been changed. You cannot tip on the card. When I was leaving two of the employees were taking loudly to each other in Vietnamese. I've been here several times for dip powder and get a different quality each time. This last time was the last straw when the woman forcefully tore off the old dip powder instead of soaking it off. It HURT and I asked her "doesn't peeling it off this way peel off a layer of my nail?" She said "no no it's faster". I could literally see a layer of my nail stuck to the inside of the pieces she was ripping off. I should have walked out but I just stuck it out. My nails are splintered and brittle now due to this. I went to this place only because it was the closest spot to my apartment.. Im from NY and I usually do NOT let ppl outside of city areas do my nails/hair etc. This place PROVED my theory. When i went to get a french manicure, they did it in a way where a space is left between the white tip and the pink ..a space of no polish whatsoever. Its because they put the white tip on first.. in a messt way and then they "correct" it with nail polish remover and then paint the pink on after the tip tryin not to touch the white. When I asked them WHY they did it that way.. the owner said "so that they can correct the white areas".. OK If u guys were any good you wouldnt HAVE to correct anything!! Good manicurist know how to do it with OUT messing up. Then I gave them another chance and went to get my eyebrows waxed. I simply walked in and asked for a wax.. the tech took me back, didnt say a word and asked me to lay down with out changing the dirty wax paper from the person before. She then continued to work on my eyebrows...for a long time. I didnt think too much since Iv never had problems anywhere else. But when I got up its as if my eyebrows has dissapeared. She literally trimmed them to two tiny lines without my permission because SHE Thought they looked good that way. Thanksgiving is in 2 days. THANK YOU for making me look like a freak just in time for the Holidays. The manager or whoever had the nerve to tell me it was partially my fault for not tellin her what I wanted. Excuse me.. I've walked into 20 salons in my lifetime and everyone seems to kno that when u DONT specify its generally a clean up. But if ur tech wants to go and commpletly give my face a makeover of her choice she should ASK before she did it!!!! They never have any appointments unless you book well in advance. Not very convenient if you just want to get a pedicure for a treat. After reading the one recent review, I was excited about getting my nails done at Elite Nails! First of all: they do not offer you a beverage for nails, only pedicures. Second, I asked for teal and purple colors, when the nail lady came back she said she had those colors. While painting I noticed the teal was much darker and the purple wasn't the right color, when I asked her about it she was rude. Needless to say, I have green and red nails not teal and purple. I didn't have an appointment and Lisa took me within 15 minutes and gave me a full set of gel nail acrylics and an eye brow wax. Both were done really well. I haven't had my eyebrows waxed for about 2 years and I thought the pain was going to be unbearable but it didn't hurt as much as I have had it hurt from other techs at different businesses. My only advice is to fix the tip on the cards issue because I was lucky to have cash on me and I generally don't have cash on me and not many other people do either. read more

I took my twin 12 year old daughters here about a month ago because they were begging for acrylics and we were going to Florida for the first time so I caved. I had made an appointment and they didn't hold it because they never do. I think they say yes to anyone who calls and it's ridiculous because I had an important appointment not long after that. We just did not have a good experience. One of my daughters nails looked absolutely terrible and I would have complained but I had to leave them with their grandmother since I had to leave early to get to my appointment. I asked for red nails and she added silver glitter to my ring finger on both sides and they looked nice but it was a little much. My other daughter had multiple nails come off at the beach so we had to pay another nail salon to fix them. I used to love this salon but now it offers low quality service and the prices are ridiculous. Nailtiques charges $7 extra for gel polish and apparently to have gel polish at elite it cost $17. read more

I visited this location for a facial and received a soothing and relaxing one hour treatment. I awakened to my own snoring during the procedure. The technician was thorough, very attentive and clean and invited me back for a second treatment. I returned several weeks later for a manicure and spa pedicure and enjoyed the treatments and staff. I have been going to Elite Nails for years, no other place in the Winchester area compares. I'm not sure about the negative reviews about not being offered a drink because myself and my 2 young daughters are always offered a beverage (even if we aren't all having a service done). As far as the review about wrong colors being used, the first thing they ask when you arrive is for you to PICK YOUR COLOR...and they have a huge selection of name brand polish to select from. Everyone is always very nice, and if you have an issue with anything all you have to do is speak up and they will fix it right away. The place itself was very nice, but the service I received was not the greatest. The man who did my nails was rude the entire time. I asked him many times not to cut my thumb nails too short, he still did. He was way too rough when filing my nails down, and was just generally rude to me throughout the entire experience. I felt incredibly unsatisfied with the end product of my nails. The polish is uneven, my nails are all different lengths, and the polish is coming up at the end and is always catching on my hair. So I have been here 3 times total over the course of a few years and every experience with them has been mediocre at minimum. The other day I went in to get a fill, polish change on my toes and eyebrows waxed. The lady who greeted me got snippy with me because I didn't want to get gel polish. The lady who did my nails and toes was nice, but I was really disappointed with the quality of work. She put wayyy too much polish on my nails, so much that they hadn't dried 5 hours later and my nails were hideous by the next day when I got out of bed. When I got home, I realized that I had polish all over my toes - I am positive I could've done better myself. As far as my eyebrows, I had a wonderful shape going on and I asked her to just clean them up & don't make them any thinner and now I have thin lines for eyebrows. I went to this salon for the first time back in July after noticing how beautiful my friends nails were. I don't usually get my nails done but I wanted something special for an upcoming trip so I got tips put on. I asked the technician for French tip nails. She asked if I wanted a pink tint to make it look more natural and I said sure! I trusted the technician to make a good choice. After applying everything, the technician told me to put my hands under the uv light. I didn't think this was strange because although I don't go often, I remembered this part of the process. What I did find strange was the technician said I would feel the rays burn my fingernails a bit. It did indeed heat up my nail beds to the point I had to remove them from the machine but I thought, maybe this is something new that makes it last longer. I got rave compliments and returned about a month later to get them taken off. A different technician convinced me to just get a fill in and keep them on. Finally I went back a 3rd time and although they tried to get me to keep them on I said no because I needed to give my real nails a rest. Needless to say, the gentleman who assisted me this time had a really difficult time taking them off despite multiple soaks. He asked me who put them on and I pointed out the 1st lady who did my nails. He ended up leaving a few of the tips on as my nail was so damaged underneath. My great niece and I went to this salon for mani/pedi. When I called for appointment, was quoted a price for each person. My great niece, who is eight, would get a child's mani/pedi $28 and I would get a regular mani/pedi $42. During my great niece's mani/pedi the technician painted one flower each on two fingers and two toes. My niece did not ask for the flowers, nor did the technician ask if she wanted the flowers. Citing no approval to paint these flowers, I assumed they were included in the quoted price of $28. Imagine my dismay and disgust when I was charged $35 for the child mani/pedi. I questioned the technician who informed me it was $5 extra for the toe flowers and $5 extra for the finger flowers. And yes, the math doesn't work on this as I was only over charged $7. I informed them it was my understanding that the flower painting was included in the $28 child mani/pedi cost since the service was neither asked for or approved by my great niece or me. I was thoroughly disgusted at this point as they would not budge on the charge. Needless to say, their tips suffered because of this sneeky overcharge. They also hound you about other services...eyebrow waxing, spa pedicure, gel manicure... Do what I asked you to do and quit bugging me to purchase other services. I have going to Elite for almost 5 years. I go there typically for a pedicure. I go every two weeks because I have ingrown toenails and I want to avoid getting them so every two weeks does the trick. I see Kay every time. It's nothing fancy but she's professional, the salon is clean and I've never had any problems. I'm confused by these reviews. If someone is waxing your face without your permission stop them. If you think the women are laughing and talking about you then learn Vietnamese. If you can drink a Coke while you're getting a manicure then ask for one. This is not a day spa, it's a strip mall nail salon. read more

Never again! I went in with fellow teachers to relax after the last day of school, and came out more stressed. I have had nine surgeries with the last being fusion to my foot due to a drunk driver. I told them this and she still continued to press and pound my foot to move in a way that it is not meant to move because of the fusion. The icing on the cake was when she held my bad foot high in the air pointing for the other three attendants to peer at while speaking in her native language. I know my foot is in bad shape. I'm lucky to have it after the accident, but I do not have to pay top dollar for public humiliation. I will not go back. I'm a regular at a nail salon by target where they have always been respectful of my injuries even on my first visit years ago. I had an organic spa pedi today....have been trying to get a mani pedi done for months to use a gift certificate I got for Christmas...settled on just a pedi since they never had time for both that worked for me. Massage part was ok but Helen chewed up my left big toenail. It's considerably shorter than my right big toenail and has a chunk out of it with a really rough edge. I have had much better pedicures for less than $30. To make matters worse, the employees laugh and talk about their PAYING customers in their native language but think customers don't understand them.
