this landlord packs as many people as they can into the smallest apartment buildings possible buildings that originally weren't even meant to be apartments. They do not provide their tenants places to park or anywhere to walk their dogs, and they put them in a point of conflict with all of their neighbors on purpose because all they wanna do is collect their money at the end of the month. These apartments are unfit for living. The landlord will show up with their big fancy pick up, move you and collect their money every month. They just take advantage of people that don't have much and they provide them with substandard, living and low quality of life because as I said, they're in a point of contention with all their neighbors due to parking and nowhere to walk their animals and they don't inform their tenants on any of that. and if you ever get into any type of conflict with Kylie, all she does is hang up the phone on you. I resorted to getting upset about that and really the best thing I can do is inform others find another place to rent you do not want to rent from someone that treats people like this and packs them into a tiny place like that. read more

This poor management group has invaded my privacy took pictures while peeping through my windows and now I have to keep my blinds shut. You can see the window that was broken from April and now its November. You can see from my pics I pay my rent on time and now they are trying to force me to pay 600 for my service dogs. I have served in the persion gulf war protected my country and this is how a vet gets treated? I am so pissed and upset!! They need to be shut down! I have called the fire department to come out. We've called them several times regarding their lawn/snow company. Their buildings share lawn and sidewalk with ours, their company has been blowing snow into our yard and sidewalk and the final straw was when they pushed a nice pile of snow into the middle of our sidewalk. We've taken several pictures and today contacted the city. We shouldn't have to deal with h this or call many times and have their receptionist have major attitude every single time. read more

They manage a property for us and unfortunately if we dare to ask a question we are given a major attitude by the office manager Christa. We wanted a property assessment done as we were going through a loan modification and wanted to know the worth of the property if we were to sell in the coming year. It seems like there was a miscommunication between elite and the person we sent out, which is totally fine, things happen. But when I called to ask about what needs to be done I was treated like I had no rights to my own property. When I pushed further to the owner, I was told it was my issue and not theirs. I cannot even imagine the tenants in the home being happy if this is the level of communication. We are ending our contract with elite and will go with a professional agency moving forward. read more

There comes a time in life where you need to look for a place quickly because you're getting 2 dogs and your current landlord doesn't allow them. If that comes to chance, do not choose this place to help you. They worked with us the whole way: we paid our application fee (40 bucks per person) and they said that we can pay our deposit for the dogs over time. Come the day I was going to make the first deposit, they rent out the place to someone else and wouldn't give any reason why. Their attitude is somewhat snotty and it feels like all they care about is your money. Then they proceeded to offer us a place that was $250 more per month. Please, please, reconsider anywhere else to rent from them than this place. Renters and buyers beware. read more

I am new to town and scheduled an appointment to look at a couple houses to rent. The appointment was for 1:45pm and had to meet at the office, which is on the other side of town from where I work, before heading to the properties. I explained when I set up the appointment that I was doing this over my lunch break and was reassured we would have enough time to look at 2 properties. I walked in at 1:47pm, waited for the person in front of me to be taken care of, and was told at 1:49pm, that I was too late for my appointment and would have to reschedule. The representative explained that her appointment after mine was across town and she could not show me the properties. This sounds like poor planning on her part, as she knew I was on a tight schedule myself, and needed to look at 2 properties. I would have gladly taken 5 less minutes looking at the properties to be able to see them today. Very frustrated. Very poor service and I would recommend finding a property management company that cares more about their potential customers and plans their appointments appropriately so they have at least a minute of flexibility. read more

They will find any reason to keep half of your deposit! TAKE TONS OF PICTURES OF EVERYTHING!!!!!! Had the final walk thru with my mom in crookston and the guy said (oh my gosh, this apartment is cleaner than when you moved in, I won't have to do anything) then they keep half my deposit and come up with a list of bogus things that my mom and I cleaned like crazy people. I left that apartment so clean. And no smoking? Lies, the neighbors smoked 24/7 in their apartments and I ran smoke filters that were Filthy within 2 weeks! 3 month filters filthy in 14 days!! honestly one of my worst living experiences. the constant checkups without any other notice than a piece of paper on a door we don't use. never were we called or emailed to notify us of any inspection or anything of that sort. we asked for months for our washer to be repaired only for them to come less than a month before we were moving out. the 60mph winds broke the storm door and we asked that to be fixed for nearly two months only for it never to be done and for us to be charged for it when we received what was left of our deposit. fees and cleaning etc. were not broken down for us to be able to understand and distribute any left over deposit back equally. their snow removal was awful during the winter, so much so that nearly everyone in our house got stuck in our own driveway since they never took care of it. not to mention when any issues were brought up before and after moving out we were greeted with attitude and no actual resolve to the issue and only empty promises "to look into it". they don't seem to care much when you live at their property and even less when you no longer do. honestly would not recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

I am NOT impressed with Elite Property Mgmt. Moving in we realized it would be a mediocre house for pretty cheap rent, but it was close to UND so we went for it. Once we were moved in, we found out the house had rats in the walls and ceilings, the roof had a leak, the dead tree in backyard was infested with wasps, and electric bills were through the roof making our monthly payments WAY above what the house was worth. They fixed the roof, but apparently not very well because the following spring it started leaking again and my ceiling tiles FELL IN, ruining a bunch of my things. We called them several times about this and about a week and a half later, they sent a man who handed me a plastic bag and said, "It sounds like the mess is small enough for you to clean up." By the time we moved out, the house still had rats, the roof was not fixed, there was a gaping hole in the ceiling of my room (which I was no longer sleeping in because of the molding leaves, rodent carcasses, etc. in the crawl space), AND the basement was FLOODED - yes, also ruining everything we had stored in boxes there. Two months after moving out and hearing nothing from them about the house (so we just figured they kept the deposit for the last partial month's rent) we received a letter from Elite, charging us about $7500. After subtracting the $1300 deposit. So $8800: - repainting (the entire inside of the house was baby blue when we moved in and they told us we could paint over it so of course we did. When we went to speak to them about it, they said we were never allowed to paint..? Not a word about painting in the lease). Charged us about $2300 for paint and labor. Seriously. -cleaning the carpets AND replacing them (there was two rooms I could understand would've needed replacing, not the entire house). About $3000 total. -the rest of the balance was due to other repairs and an extra month's rent because it took them so much extra time to fix everything before the next tenants could move in. Needless to say, if ND wasn't a landlord state they would be dealing with a lawsuit. We spoke to an attorney and he basically told us to start making monthly payments because there wasn't much he could do. The staff is arrogant and incompetent. Almost every time we went into the office, there were other kids in there complaining about something else. I have a friend who rented with them in the past and had a similar experience. Not to be dramatic, but I think it's safe to generalize that Elite basically picks shitty houses and targets college kids because they know they can take advantage and get away with it. I wish I had never rented with Elite and wouldn't recommend them to even the person I hate most, which would probably be the woman in charge of the place. Save yourself the stress and money and just get a nice apartment somewhere - it will be worth it. read more

These people are the nicest people in the world until you actually need something fixed. I moved in one spring to one of their town homes. Then noticed there was a bunch of things wrong with this place. There was a broken cabinet, there was a leak from the upstairs tub that went into the main floor through the ceiling. It took them 2 months to come and fix it and that was with me calling and complaining multiple times per week. It probably never would have happened if I hadn't lit a fire under them. The garage door didn't work and I had to wait about a month and a half for them to come and fix that. Fast forward a few months a big storm blew out a couple of my windows this time I was smart and got a notarized letter to force them to fix it but after a month they hadn't done anything so I broke my lease. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. These guys are completely worthless. On a second note you will probably only see this review if you checked the "other reviews" which Yelp doesn't factor into their rating of a place. You will notice the only one review that they do take into consideration reads like a damn commercial. Total con game. And they aren't even good cons because if you look she is from San Diego, California and all of our "other" ratings which are all 1 star are from North Dakota.
