The nail tech who helped me today was careful not to cut my cuticles or nails too short. She asked me several questions before starting to make sure the end result would be what I wanted. Thoroughly appreciate this, as most places don't ask! Ambiance - Great. Clean, plenty of chairs and desks. Tasteful, calming decor and great selection of nail colors, too. I wish they served complimentary wine, but you can't win 'em all. read more

Just moved to the area so I was thrilled when my mother recommended this place. I was a walk in and was seated immediately. I was told to go to Evelyn (the owner) and she did an incredible job. I showed her what I wanted done and she did just that and more. She recommended a nail shape for me and even explained what the SNS dip is (which I didn't get but will be once my nails grow). Called to make appointment with Lisa( per my friend she's the BEST) that being said ...I called in the AM and spoke w/ a man hr gave time of 10am. About 9:50am I rcvd a call stating she had someone at 10am. I SPOKE directly to Lisa, she asked to come 11:15am .. which I did to find her in the middle of a pedicure! I've been coming to this location since 2009 and move to several locations in Tampa, Wesley Chapel, Brandon & Riverview but I always come back here no matter what. If you don't have an appointment you're going to have to wait but it's worth the wait. I've been going to Christina & Mei both for years but the others are good also. If can give zero stars I would. My wife and I walked in asking for simple manicure and pedicure. The person up front did not understand what we were asking. To try to make things easier I grabbed a pamphlet that was in front of me to make things easier for her to understand while I am browsing the pamphlet to mark what my wife and I wanted. She went to a colleague of hers and was speaking in a different language, surely was complaining and talking about us to her male colleague. My wife and walked out frustrated and confused trying to figure out why she could not understand what we wanted . We went to another nail salon in the same area and everything was perfect. A little advice to this company: If you want to stay a competitive nail salon in Riverview you have to understand what customers want. You pretty much lost a repeat customer. I went in for a refill and to replace a nail and what a disappointment. They are so rushed to get my nail done that the replace nail was glued crooked. When I mentioned it he totally ignored me. Once he was done I mentioned it again and all he said was Oops I'm sorry . He never bother to fix it. Just rushing rushing rushing. I was suppose to get a pedicure but decided to go somewhere else. One of the short male techs said my daughter was broke and walked out without paying sometime in May, had NO proof, and he was cursing at her. So when my wife calls me he tries to apologize when I got there saying he didn't know she was a minor...doesnt matter. If she did...handle it then or call the parents, but she didnt. My nail tech was nice for the most part but she messed up my nail and didn't say anything. I noticed it when I got to my car door. My big toe looked weird shaped so I bent down to touch it (gel paint was already dry) and the whole left corner of the paint lifted up. By the time I walked several feet back to the shop, the nail tech who did my nails was gone. I explained to another lady what happened and I sat down for her to redo my toenail. She couldn't find the color the other lady had (white) (yeah I know wow) and she used another one she found to fix it. Mind you, when she went to fix it, she literally just peeled the side of the polish and it came off extremely easily. So when she fixed my toenail she did a terrible job but they were closed so I just said I'd deal with it. When I walked out, I realized that it looked even worse than I thought!!! I came back the next day to get it fixed and it still looks like crap. You'd think with 6 or 7 nail shops at this intersection alone would make them want to do a good job to keep repeat customers!! The WORST nail experience ever. Super unprofessional! I went in for a simple pedicure and the technician was talking to three others the entire time. She cut my nails extremely crooked, kept stopping to talk, did not trim around my cuticles and there was polish all over the edges of my toes. A three-year old could have done a better job. Their hot towels smelled like rotten eggs as well. Then they had the nerve to charge $25. I would not suggest anyone going there. I pointed out her mistakes and she rushed me out. It's 11 am on Sunday morning and I have decided that i want to get a pedicure. I've been wanting to get one for the last few days but I didn't know where to go. My boyfriend wanted to tag along with me. Since he was going with me, I wanted to pay for his and didn't want to go to my usual place because they are overpriced. I've been to Elite Nails a few times so I decided to go there, hoping that they would give my boyfriend a good first experience. We get there and they seat us immediately. We got there a few minutes after they opened and there were already 6 customers in there getting their nails done, so I knew we would have a bit of a wait. Luckily, they seat us right when we walked in, and a nice woman starts working on my boyfriend. I'm sitting next time watching him be serviced and watching his reaction to the pedicure. He really enjoyed himself after he thought he wouldn't because he has really ticklish feet. I was really pleased, that I didn't mind waiting AT ALL. He dozed off and took a nap on the massage chair, and his lady starts working on me next. She took her time and was really precise with me nails. I'm waiting on them to be painted right now, then I'll finish the review, but overall I'm really pleased, and so is my boyfriend. read more

Never again. I went with my 8 y/o daughter and they refused to seat us together so my daughter started crying. I have been taking my daughter with me for years and I have never been told that we couldn't sit together. Not to mention they charged $17 for a little girls manicure which took all of 10 mins. The nail tech painted my gel manicure with regular nail polish. I had to point it out to her at the end because the polish was coming off. How do you not notice that you are not using gel polish on a gel manicure? The water for my manicure was so, so cold! This was the first time in years that I felt like they were talking negative about me in a different language. It was so uncomfortable. The salon is pretty but the atmosphere was not. Never, ever again! At least I can to to First Watch or Tijwana Flats to get over the torture of that place. read more

I called ahead and asked if their business serves wine (it's one of my favorite parts of getting my nails done) and the man on the phone said yes. When I arrived and a lady sat me in the pedicure seat, I asked for the wine that he said they served. She looked at me weird and said they don't serve wine -____- I was lied to. The man was sitting a few chairs from me and didn't even apologize for knowing that he lied to me. The lady did though. I know it's not her fault but I'm salty for being lied to. The service was just fine. The place is an eye sore. Must not care too much about the atmosphere they're portraying. IKEA could definitely help them out if they wanted. I specifically told the nail tech to not cut the sides of the nails on my big toes. She did it anyway. After the first cut, I got up and walked out and she spoke to me very rudely. Just left the salon after going in for a gel manicure and eyebrow wax. The lady who did my nails talked on the phone the ENTIRE time. Didn't cut my nails down or ask how I wanted them shaped, I had to ask her to do so. Then when my manicure was done and she asked me to come to the back for my eyebrows waxed, she pointed her phone at me to video me on FaceTime with the friend she had been talking to and had the camera pointed at me the entire time she was doing the waxing. It wasn't fantastic but good enough that I would return later (today) return for a nail fill. HAD A FIT!!! I should have know something was off when this foolish woman placed a cotton ball of acetone on my nails and then wrapped them on aluminum foil. I thought "maybe this is just a new way to soften powder" then.....I felt my nails melting off. I was in shock when she pulled the aluminum foil off and asked "so.....do you want the tip or just your natural nail?" WHAT?!?! I CAME IN FOR A FILL!! NOT A NEW SET! I didn't say all of this because I didn't want to embarrass anyone else so I waited till the room was a bit more empty and then I asked "When you get a powder fill, so you always replace the whole nail??" She replied "Yes. Always." I ALMOST lost my Christianity but found Jesus and left once I paid ANOTHER $110 for a full set and pedicure! I'm not one to negotiate business transactions as I own my own business, I paid because a service was performed. I will NEVER AGAIN go back. She made me pay for her inability to pay attention to what was said. She charged me because she wanted to save face. It's disgusting business etiquette. read more

First time I visited was charged $38 for a filling with mood changing polish, he had to fix two nails so it seemed reasonable. 2nd time I went with my daughter, her nail tech decided upon herself to use dipping powder (which of course is more expensive). I paid $50 for a filling, just because they were coffin shaped and paid $55 for my daughters full set. My nail tech hurt me and was extremely rough, mind you I'm very tolerant to pain. read more
