    Tire repaired with a plug

    My son got a flat in LA and was able to get some air in the tire with a electric air pump. He took it to a highly rated tire shop out there and they told him they couldn't fix his tire because it was a liability. It had a screw on the top metal part of the tire. And they proceeded to tell him he needed four tires. Luckily we had a full spare in the trunk so he had them swap it. He made a trip down to San Diego and I took it here. They looked at the tire and said there's no reason why you can't put a plug in this. I said worst case scenario you can patch it if the plug doesn't hold. And that he didn't need new tires. He could probably drive those for another six months. They've taken all my vehicles here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Alfredo is the best. He Is honest, super affordable, attentive, respectful and just an overall great person if you meet him, you know exactly what I'm talking about[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I wouldn't take any tire needs or even mechanic needs anywhere else. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He goes above and beyond to help you out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Yes, this was an expensive repair but it was absolutely no fault of Allman Family Auto. The issue…read morestems from Chrysler's Pentastar cylinder heads, which are a known problem. I always do my research, and unfortunately my assessment turned out to be correct even before Allman completed their diagnostics. Mike at Allman spent a great deal of time walking me through different scenarios and options, providing detailed estimates for each. I also requested additional estimates, including a full engine replacement, so I could make a fully informed decision. While their estimate was less than dealership service departments, it was slightly higher than another independent shop. After researching the difference, I found it came down to Allman using OEM parts rather than cheaper aftermarket parts made overseas. I don't use cheap parts on my vehicles, so that made the decision easy. Once I felt fully comfortable, I chose Allman and I'm glad I did. Mike kept me informed throughout the process, and my Jeep was back on the road even earlier than estimated. Thank you, Allman Family Auto, for the honesty, transparency, and quality work.

After I raised concerns about what I believed was a misdiagnosis and being overcharged for repairs that did not fix the original issue with my vehicle, I reached out to the shop directly to address the situation. To their credit, once I called them out and explained the ongoing problem, they agreed to take another look at my car. Upon re-evaluation, they acknowledged that the initial repair did not resolve the root issue. They worked on the vehicle again and ultimately fixed the original problem at no additional charge. I appreciate that they took responsibility and made the effort to correct the situation. While my initial experience was frustrating and felt misleading, I do recognize their willingness to make things right after the fact. I hope moving forward they improve their diagnostic process to prevent similar issues for other customers. Updating my review to reflect both the initial experience and the resolution.

    I had a 5 star experience and the service was great. The service crew was great and I was in out in…read morelike 10 minutes. I will make this jiffy lube location my go to for oil changes. I was able to use a coupon and saved 10.00 on oil change and not only that before I went to this jiffy lube I tried calling other oil changing business and got no answer from one business and another business wanted double what I paid at jiffy lube. I was really happy with service and all the employees were friendly and working together to take care of my oil change needs. I will definitely recommend this location to friends.     This is the first time I leave negative reviews, but I feel other customers should know about my…read moreexperience. I brought my vehicle to this Jiffy Lube for a routine oil change. Before the service, my underbody cover was not hanging or damaged. Within hours of leaving the shop, the underbody cover came loose while I was driving in FREEWAY! We can see sparks at the back in the car while driving because the metal part dragging the floor so we have to pull over 2x the plastic and metal underbody cover had been torn and was hanging down. I returned to the shop the next day since it's Sunday and they close early. During my first return visit, they replaced the metal cover but didn't properly secure the plastic underbody cover. I left with loose and hanging plastic parts, which was unacceptable. Because of that, I had to return to the shop a second time. They secured the loose plastic underbody cover, but they refused to replace the damaged plastic undercover, telling me there was no manager on site who could approve it. I then contacted Jiffy Lube Guest Relations and opened Case. I was told the District Manager would handle my claim. Despite following up and waiting for a response for 2weeks, I have received no communication and no meaningful resolution from them. I'm not asking for anything unreasonable. I simply want the damaged plastic underbody cover replaced if it was damaged during the service. Instead, I've had to make multiple trips back to the shop, deal with poor communication, and spend my own time trying to get this resolved. The most disappointing part of this experience isn't just the damage it's how the issue has been handled afterward. I hope Jiffy Lube improves its customer service and takes responsibility when customers report problems that occur immediately after service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Jiffy Lube.
